You might be thinking, where is Lilian?

Well right now...

"What are you doing?"

Asked Lilian coldly.

"Stalling for time"

Said a witch while smiling.

Currently the fleet of airs.h.i.+ps is currently surrounded by hundreds of them.

There are 4 s.h.i.+ps in the fleet here and the rest are deployed somewhere else, like highly contested borders or places of significant value.

What's worst is that the enemy has their own airs.h.i.+p, they can take it down, but that would take time.

'They even managed to make their airs.h.i.+ps, just how many rats are there?!"

Lilian was now stuck in a dilemma

If they have s.h.i.+p split off from the fleet, it will be targeted, and each s.h.i.+p is an important a.s.set.

If they lose even one that'll be a huge loss to the kingdom.

Lilian said through gritted teeth.

"How long will it take to brake out?"

"We estimate around 5 minutes, Your Majesty"

"Can we breakthrough faster?"

"Yes, if we overdrive it will be 2"

"Do it"

"Yes Ma'am, initiate overdrive!"

"Confirm overdrive"

"Confirmed"

"Roger, confirmed overdrive, commence overdrive procedure"

*Wiiiinnnngggg

The magic engines on the s.h.i.+p buzzed as it is worked beyond it's limits.

"As expected, go as planned, we just need to stall the for 3 minutes, 3 minutes and our job is done, got that?"

"Yes!"

"Now hold them off, first barrage!"

"Full speed ahead!"

Lilian bellowed.

"Vsg'eg'shwj..." (AN: Magic needs chanting and hand signs, that's why Orena had dexterity based skills, theres also no chantless magic bulls.h.i.+t like that, it has to be within the rules of magic made up by the G.o.ds of this world)

"Thw'bsbn'a..."

Suddenly mana of all different elements gathered into shapes, a flaming spear, a wind orb, earth fists...

And all of them unleashed against the magic barriers of the fleet.

*Boom*rumble*boom*boom

The impact from the mult.i.tude of different spells rocked the s.h.i.+ps.

"Khhgh, hold tight, and don't stop moving!"

That doesn't mean the fleet isn't fighting back however.

*Thunder*thunder*crackle!

Lightning spewed from the s.h.i.+ps, taking out a few witches with them.

While mages on board attacked with their own spells.

The battle was raging, spells of different colors lit up the night sky.

It was beautiful yet b.l.o.o.d.y sight.

Screams and explosions rang through the air.

It was a battle of epic proportions, but this fight does not matter, for what matters is the battle on The Prince.

So lets go back shall we?

****************Pumpkin's POV***************

"Where is he?"

"Not here, probably on the lowest level"

"Heh, probably scared"

"Enough, let's just get this over with, we can't let our sisters death go in vain"

"Yeah, your right"

The Witches have already searched the brig and second to the lowest level of the s.h.i.+p, only the lowest level was left unchecked.

The second level of the s.h.i.+p by the way is the engine room where the magic crystal is and five witches of the defense group was a.s.signed to watch over it.

The remaining witches split into two groups with 15 each in a group, one searched while the other stayed on deck to ward off any danger.

Currently the search group split again to make 3 squads, and Pumpkin is a part of one of those squads.

"What do you think killed our sisters?"

"...Can we not talk about this?"

Pumpkin clenched her fists at the thought of Mena's death, it was just so surreal and it etched itself into her memories.

"Sorry but we have to, we didn't even see a spell coming and the s.h.i.+p's only way of attack is through lightning according to the intel"

"Could it be there are some hidden guards here?"

"No we can make sure of that, and the kid's don't have magic either"

"What could it be then..."

The squad soon reached the lowest level of the s.h.i.+p, it was used as the cargo hold so it didn't need to be lit so it was pitch dark.

The cargo was neatly placed on both sides of the s.h.i.+p and a the center was clear.

"I don't like this..."

"Maybe we should wait for the others..."

"Yeah, i agree..."

The Witches didn't have a good feeling so they waited for the rest of the search group to arrive.

And that didn't take long however.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?"

"Waiting for you guys"

"What, scared of kids?"

Joked a fellow witch.

"We just don't have a good feeling about it ok?"

"Ok ok, safety in numbers it is then"

The last 10 remaining witches of the search group then also came down to the lowest level and immediately felt something off.

"Yeah i see what you mean, this place makes me uncomfortable"

"See, we told you!"

"Yeah yeah, let's just get the little brats already"

The 15 witches then started to walk in the center slowly.

Some casted small flames to light up the area.

"Hey, kid, if you just come out we'll spare you!"

Of course that was a lie, they we're sent here to kill and have no intention of sparing anybody to pay for the death of they're sisters.

They continued to walk for a while.

They almost reached the bow of the s.h.i.+p when the flame revealed a small silhouette.

"There you are kid, now just come here and tell your little friends to stop hiding too"

The small silhouette didn't reply.

"Haha, your really creepy, real funny, if you don't want to die kid, come here!"

The witch then got closer to the silhouette with a flame on her hand.

As she got closer however, it just revealed more small silhouettes.

"So this is where you have been hiding, come over here!"

She got bolder and got closer.

Suddenly, 7 pairs of blue lights lit up.

They all stared at her.

"Hahaha, real sc"

*Bang

Before she could finish her sentence, a hole was already on her head.

The lights then changed from blue...

To Glowing Red.

"W-wh"

*Bang*bang*bang*bang*bang

The same as then, before they could react, many were already dead on the floor.

"R-retreat!"

The Witches then ran.

As they ran though they were still under fire, so many died while trying to run away, all that did was made them die tired.

Pumpkin also ran.

Fear clouded their judgement, they didn't even try to fight back, the memory of the sudden loud bangs and their sisters suddenly dying is still fresh in their minds.

So they ran...

Until only Pumpkin was the only one left...

She almost made it, but oh-oh, she tripped.

She tried to get back up.

She looked up...

Only to find red, glowing, eye's staring at her...

Frozen with fear, she just stared.

But, 'It' didn't care how shocked she was.

It raised something and put it to her forehead.

"P-please..."

She shed tears and wet herself...

A look mixed with horror, fear, unwillingness and a hint of rage plastered on her face...

But that only did one thing...

"Now this...Does put a smile on my face..."

It just satisfied the monster.

"N-no-!"

*Bang

Then all was quiet.
