Alexander strode in large strides. People in the room turned their heads and noticed that it was their boss who looked cold and furious. If eyes could kill, he could've killed a thousand already. His eyes were calling for thunderstorms; if someone had a glance of his glare, it was like sword stabbing a person directly.

Cold sweat started to fall down. They were trembling and didn't dare look at his eyes. They immediately pretended that everything was going well, covering their faces with newspapers as if they were reading the daily news.

"What's going on?"

"I think it's Tatiana again! She's always getting the nerves of the boss!"

Rachel exhaled deeply, "Tatiana… she's stubborn as always!"

"I hope everything's going to be alright,"

Alexander knocked on the door violently as if there was a criminal inside the room.

He exclaimed angrily, "Open the door!!"

Tatiana smirked, "Why should I?" she sarcastically asked

"You should be held responsible for what you've done to my fiancée,"

Suddenly, Evelina barged in and stopped Alexander. She grabbed his wrist and said, "Stop it, Alexander!! She paused, "Shouldn't we thank her for what she has done?"

Alexander couldn't help to see his woman pleading him with puppy eyes. He sighed.

"Alright then, Tatiana, come out of your room! My fiancée wants to see you," he declared

"Whatever… I'm coming out!!" she condescendingly said

Tatiana opened the door then closed it as she stepped outside. She then crossed her arms and said, "You know what? I shouldn't be the one you should be thanking,"

Alexander and Evelina were confused. They didn't understand. If she wasn't the one who prepared it, then who?

Alexander said in a loud voice, "What are you talking about? Be straight to the point!!"

"It's Alexi, people!! Now, do you guys remember your forgotten memories?" Tatiana probed.

Tatiana raised her eyebrows and the result was obviously in front of her.

She simpered, "Well, seeing you so lovey-dovey, it seems that you guys really remember each other,"

Alexander chuckled softly, "Of course! You should give us your blessing,"

People in the room were taken aback. It was their first time hearing their boss so happy. His chuckle was a piece of music to their ears, making their ears pregnant.

"Oh, my goodness! I didn't see that coming. Are we blessed right now?!"

"I hope it will last forever,"

"Yeah, right," Albert clicked his tongue. He was annoyed 'Is it their first time seeing happy people?'

"Congratulations, boss and lady boss, Evelina!"

Most of them were teary-eyed. It was one of their happiest moments in life. Seeing their benevolent and caring boss being with the woman he loves, made their hearts felt in content.

Without noticing the people around, Alexander was too preoccupied with his lovely Evelina. 'She's finally back' he held her waist tightly, not letting her go.

Evelina looked up at Alexander's face. She was so happy that she couldn't wait to tell him numerous things. She was thinking of telling him a long, long, long story.

To him, his lovely Evelina was the most beautiful lady he had ever met aside from his mother. She was so beautiful, bedazzling, and flawless. She was like a beauty descended from heavens. Her silver eyes were as beautiful as the glimmering diamonds. Her beauty was indescribable.

He took her hand and dragged her somewhere.

"Where are you taking me?" Evelina asked

"It's a surprise," Alexander chuckled, he couldn't help seeing his Evelina curious and clueless. He then added, "Well, I'm taking you to a special place,"

They headed to their bedroom. Evelina was not convinced and felt that she was tricked again but, knowing the fact that he is her loved one, she had no choice but to comply.

"This is it? This is the special place you're talking about?" her eyes widened in surprise.

"No, dear. Wait for it," he didn't know if he whether wanted to laugh or cry right now.

There was a black remote on his hand; he pressed the green b.u.t.ton. The bed was moved backward and the floor unveiled a pa.s.sage. In the pa.s.sage, there were stairs that led them to the place. The L- shaped wooden staircase was filled with rose petals They walked together holding each other's hands. They followed the path of roses until it led them to a beautiful romantic candlelit dinner table. The setting of the room was like they were in a movie theatre, watching a movie; it was a complete set-up of it. There was a big flat screen in front of the dining table. The walls were painted black and the carpeted floor was black with LED lights.

Evelina was in tears. She recalled the time when it was their first date. It was her who initiated in terminating their relations.h.i.+p and now, her heart fluttered seeing her fiancé in front of her preparing, making this all happen. 'As expected of my Alexander, he never failed to disappoint me,'

"Do you like it?" his voice was gentle with a tinge of nervousness

"No,"

"What?! Don't worry my love, wait here I'll just tidy up the place a little bit," his smile disappeared. 'As long as she's comfortable with it, that's fine with me,'

She tugged his sleeve and said, "No need, Alexander. It's perfect. I don't like it, I love it!!"

He sighed in relief. "Why didn't you say so, dummy!" he poked her forehead

She pouted, "You look cute when you're nervous!"

Alexander led her to the table and pulled a chair for her before taking a seat on the opposite chair. His hand reached over the table and continued to hold her hand, without taking his eyes off at his dear lovely Evelina. He was madly in love with her that he didn't care whether he was dying or not.

At the moment, a succession of cla.s.sical and a jazz romantic music were serenading the couple. Although there weren't any groups of bands or orchestras, it was like they were having an actual concert. Alexander called it 10D music. Alexander thought that hiring a bunch of people to play music for them was such a huge ha.s.sle and he wouldn't be able to enjoy his sweet moments with his dear Evelina. Thus, he decided the one that will benefit both of them.

Evelina's eyes lit up. In her mind, she was clapping her hands several times on how great Alexander's ideas were. The food was simple— popcorns, pizza, and a bucket of freshly home-made fried chicken and nothing fancier.

"Evelina, while we're eating, I want you to see this favorite movie of mine," his voice was gentle and sensuous

"Alright, then," she agreed without any hesitation.

She enjoyed devouring the simple yet warm food prepared by her Alexander. All of the foods were made with love. She didn't eat a lot because she was on a diet. Hence, she took only a small portion of everything.

The lights were dimmed. The video started. It was peculiar of Alexander for not conversing with her. Evelina was confused. They chatted for a bit. It was Evelina who initiated their conversation.

His heart was racing and he was sweating under his palm.

"Is there something wrong?" Evelina asked, noticing his discomposure

The screen revealed a woman who was gracefully performing in the Figure Skating Compet.i.tion; it was Evelina. There was a man who was always present whenever she performs. He was a secret admirer. He had a huge crush on her so he tried numerous tricks just to get closer to her, but he was five years older than that woman so he just erased the opportunity. The lady belonged to a royal family and what was more, he's from another kingdom. One day, he saw the woman lost balance and fell in the lake. He saved her and she thanked him. They get to know each other; they became friends until they became lovers. From then on, they kept on seeing each other. They kept their relations.h.i.+p secret. At the end of the video, there were words saying, 'Will you marry me?"

The lights were slowly turned on, revealing Alexander was already in front of her. He fell down on one knee in front of her. Her heart was racing incredibly fast. She now realized that it was all him all along. It was him who secretly delivered her with flowers, letters, and caviar. It was him who secretly followed her and supported her endlessly in various compet.i.tions she had joined. She apprehended how cruel she was at that time! She was too busy meeting up with her number one fan so she decided to reschedule it for another day until it came to nothing.

She was too arrogant at that time. She loved herself too much and prioritized her career and duties to the royal family. She attended a lot of cla.s.ses, state meetings, and charity events.
