His aim was to reach a city, and there were plenty of cities next to the border that were left undefended by the fort...

The soldiers walked behind them while looking around vigilantly.

They were currently ordered to kill anyone that isn't one of them...

Alexis stopped his black stallion whom he called 'Celer' which meant fast in Lunarian.

"Don't cause any trouble, we are nearing a city" Alexis warned his Generals who glared at their soldiers who nodded.

"THE LUNARIANS ARE HERE!!" A tower guard shouted and informed the others, soldiers who were on the ground.

They quickly ran away to inform various other people and to also defend against the advancing army.

While the Lunar Imperial army doesn't necessarily have a reputation for pillaging towns and cities, there have been certain incidents, therefore this army might pillage...

The inhabitants of the walled city was terrified, they were only civilians and had no fighting experience and the only thing they could do was run away!

But where could they run off to? The fort was behind them which would not allow the civilians in during the war, this was mostly because spies could get in... it was cruel but hard decisions needed to be taken!

The mayor came out of his manor and gathered the troops...

"How many men are there?" He asked the Captain of the army in the city.

"Sir! There are five thousand soldiers defending!" The Captain informed him as the Mayor sighed solemnly and nodded.

"Prepare the men... we will defend the city no matter what!" He shouted as the soldiers quickly ran back to their positions...

"I wonder if they have enough room for the soldiers..." Alexis mumbled and turned to the city and took out his binoculars.

He then looked at the city which was now magnified, there he saw several hundreds of soldiers that were holding weapons and such to defend the city.

"Hmm... Prepare for combat, our hosts seem to be a bit aggressive!" He told the two Generals who ordered the soldiers to prepare for combat...

The army then marched into the city and stopped right infront of it.

This move intimidated the defensive force as the opposing side had atleast a hundred thousand soldiers, all wearing serious looks and aiming their rifles at them...

"General, tell them that we require room for rest!" Alexis ordered the General next to him who rode his horse towards the gate and shouted.

"OPEN THE DOORS, WE WILL BE RESTING IN THE CITY. IF YOU REJECT OUR DEMANDS, WE WILL SIEGE THE CITY!" The General shouted and went back to Alexis who shook his head.

A figure popped up from the wall, it was an old man who wore n.o.ble clothes.

"THERE IS NO ROOM FOR YOU b.a.s.t.a.r.dS!" He roared and slammed his spear on the stone floor as the guards cheered.

'Who does this b.a.s.t.a.r.d think he is?' Alexis twitched an eyebrow at the man's words and raised his right hand.

The Lunar soldiers who saw this, got into position.

They formed two long rows, the first row soldiers kneeled and aimed while the second row stood and aimed at the guards.

Alexis then immediately put his arm down stoically as he was seated on his black horse...

At the same time, the mayor felt something was wrong, he doesn't know how the soldiers fought anymore... he didn't have the necessary information and thought that the Lunar soldiers just showed off.

The guns crackled and spat out sharon projectiles of lead which struck the soldiers as they fell on the floor screaming in pain or dead...

Since most of the Satellian guards were concentrated on top of the walls, they were easy targets for the highly accurate rifles and so, casualties were in hundreds and close to a thousand!

The mayor stared the scene in shock, the bows had an effective range of around three hundred metres... but this new weapon has a range even more than that!

"This is your last warning! Surrender and open the gates..." Alexis then spoke coldly as he amplified his voice.

'Hn! These fools think they can defend? The speed of a bullet is faster than the speed of a Divine Duke, whose maximum is at the speed of sound... bullets break that!' Alexis thought and fully raised his hand.

This made all the soldiers to aim their rifles at the guards...

The soldiers were ready to pull the trigger as Alexis clenched his fist as a sign to cease fire, he saw some movement from the Gate.

Hopefully they would surrender, others he would have to resort to more 'violent' methods...

"...get the flag!" The Mayor hurriedly ordered the man closest to him who nodded immediately and ran away.

A few minutes later, the soldier brought a white flag and respectfully gave it to him. The mayor then unwillingly waved it around in a way it could be seen...

"Your highness, they are waving the white flag, Let's march into the city!" A General notified Alexis.

The Gates then opened as the soldiers quickly got inside and arrested the Satellian gate guards and openers who surrendered almost instantly, and then searched for any dangers such as a.s.sa.s.sins and traps, then they formed a guard of honour for Alexis and the Generals who followed behind him...

The Lunar soldiers captured the defenders and tied them up.

Alexis rode his horse as the rest of the army marched in intimidatingly.

The civilians whom had his inside their houses and other buildings, peeked through the wooden windows and looked at the scene in fear and awe.

A few females blushed and drooled seeing his face but controlled themselves once they reminded themselves that it was the enemy.

The army stopped midway as the soldiers that went in, cleaned up the manor for Alexis... which meant that the family of the mayor was kicked out...

A distressed woman in her thirties and an old woman wearing jewellery, was escorted by his soldiers, they looked at Alexis who was currently not wearing a helmet and bowed.

The woman averted his gaze knowing she might jump on him if she looked at him for any longer...

"Mr.Mayor, the army will be occupying this city under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lunar empire! Any resistance will be considered as a rebellion against the Empire and will be destroyed, therefore kindly tell your people to not take arms and go against our soldiers and we will not do the same!" Alexis smiled at the man intimidatingly.

"I will inform them that..." The mayor sighed.

"Very good! Now, I'm not someone who kicks people out of their homes therefore I apologise for the actions taken by my soldiers, you may return to your manor and please do remember that you can't order our soldiers..." He ended his little speech and walked into a normal two story house which was then cleaned up by a few soldiers who insisted on helping him...

"...Young man, do you know who that boy was?" The mayor asked a Lunar soldier politely, the soldier smiled and replied, "Ofcourse! That was the crown prince of our empire!" The soldier spoke with adoration and had stars in his eyes...

'CROWN PRINCE?! What is such a high profile character doing here??' The mayor in name asked himself.

"Let us go back to the manor..." He then told his wife and daughter, the latter glanced at his residence and had glazed eyes, both then nodded their heads and walked away...

The people of the city sighed in relief once they were informed of the words told by Alexis.

It was now night time and Alexis was lying on his bed and started thinking about the various things that happened since the war began.

It was simply too easy! The casualties of the Empire was very low... there was no action and just ma.s.s murder against the enemies...

They would shoot the enemy and then charge, this was repeated throughout the battles, the soldiers were ordered to shoot all Satellian soldiers, including the wounded... there were no human rights in this world and he would take advantage of it.

"So boring..." He muttered.

'If only Florestine was here in the bed...' Alexis thought as his face turned a tone pink.

He then shook his head at his pervertedness and got up, then glanced at the city through the window, by the architecture used on the buildings, anyone could see that they weren't in the Lunar empire!

The soldiers were patrolling the area and any criminal activity was quickly dealt with, infact he saw many people being taken into the prison that was a three buildings infront of him...

'This will give us the Empire a good reputation, there will be some bad eggs but they will be executed if found...' He shrugged.

'Maybe, I'll go to the bar or something...' Alexis thought after he felt his throat run dry and changed into more casual clothing, he kept his rifle inside the s.p.a.cial ring.

He walked around the city while looking around like a tourist but every once in a while he would get saluted by soldiers who recognized him...

'Hmm...' He saw a black figure that went into an alleyway, being curious he too walked in and also knew that the figure did this on purpose.

"Boss!" He heard the voice of Marcus, Alexis smirked at him and looked up to see Marcus on the wall of a house with a grin.

"What happened? Why are you here?" Alexis asked him curiously as Marcus shrugged.

"Answer for question one, I found some people and they are currently training. The next one... I was just bored!" He pouted as Alexis chuckled and ruffled his hair.

"Come on, let's go the bar..." Alexis told him and walked out.

"But big brother, aren't I underaged?" Marcus asked him curiously as Alexis nodded and turned to him.

"Who said you'll be drinking alcohol?" He smirked and stopped infront of the biggest one in the city.

'What a coincidence...' He thought and glanced at the brothel right next to the bar, he saw a few of his soldiers enter it with lecherous grins and shook his head and sighed.

"Marcus, don't look there, get inside the bar!" Alexis bonked the teenage boy's head as he held his head in pain and glared at Alexis.

"Why? Do you want to go in?" Alexis asked him teasingly as the boy coughed in embarra.s.sment and quickly entered the bar.

"Hey... don't you think those soldiers from the Lunar empire were cute?" He heard the hushed voice that came from a group of old ladies, he almost gagged seeing the sixty year old women wink at him...

"Big brother... this place is um... interesting!" Marcus muttered and sat down on one of the stools in the bar.

"What's a kid doing here?" A soldier asked Marcus who turned to Alexis.

"He's with me..." Alexis explained as the soldier widened his eyes in recognition and wanted to kneel.

"No need, it was my fault bringing a brat into a bar... you did your job well!" Alexis complimented the man who felt like crying in happiness.

"Hey!" Marcus cried indignantly.

He was complimented by the most unapproachable person in the Empire!

Alexis looked at him weirdly and sat down next to Marcus.

"Uncle, do you have juice?" Marcus asked the bartender who snorted at his question.

"Kid, you don't even look like you can handle milk!" The man laughed mockingly and turned to Alexis who had a smirk.

"What is your order, sir?" The old man asked respectfully as Alexis' eyes narrowed for a split second.

"I'll have the strongest one you've got..." He said as the old man nodded and went upto a cabinet and opened it.

He then took out a beautiful black and red gla.s.s bottle and took out a gla.s.s cup for Alexis.

"This is the strongest one I've got, it has been been barrelled for around one hundred years!" The old man said with pride in his voice.

"Don't mess with it... there was only one person who tried it, he burned his throat!" He then warned as Alexis nodded and took the gla.s.s and waited for the old man to pour.

"Impatient brat!" The old man muttered and poured in a few drops of the golden liquid inside the bottle, he then offered a gla.s.s of orange juice to Marcus who smiled.

Alexis saw the alcohol inside the bottle evaporating into the air.

"Hurry up and drink it!" The old man scolded him as Alexis drank the drops in one gulp.

"!!" He opened his eyes wide and clenched his fists.

It took him a couple of seconds but when he was finally done drinking, he gasped.

"That... hurts!" He said inbetween in his breaths as the old man laughed.

"How much?" Alexis asked the old man, he needed to get out of the bar as he felt the side effects of the alcohol.

"It's on the house... hurry up and go!" The old man said knowingly as Alexis turned to Marcus.

"I'm going now, becareful out there..." He ruffled Marcus' hair earning a growl of annoyance.

"Bye" He said and teleported back to his room...

Alexis woke up with a groan and opened his mouth to yawn, the light reflected off of his window and penetrated his eyes as he squinted...

He tried to get up but found himself pressed into the bed.

"what the..." He muttered.

"Oh... you are awake soldier boy!" He heard a feminine voice and paled.

'no... it's not possible!' He shouted inside his head and looked up.

"IYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" He shouted, infront of him was the same old lady who was at the bar.

He then woke up panting.

"Oh thank G.o.d... it was just a dream!" He sighed until he heard a feminine groan...

"Oh come on!" He muttered and turned to the voice.

'Why is the Mayor's daughter in my bed?' He asked himself, part of him was glad because she was good looking but another part was annoyed and angry at the woman who took advantage of him...

"hey!" He heard her voice and groaned.
