Demon King App 13 Chapter 12

It's now Monday of January 18 and Bryson is scheduled to be discharge from the hospital today, it got delayed for a day because of the incident on the night of January 16 and the events that followed the day after that.

Around noon of January 17 right when Bryson woke up, magic officers came barging into Bryson's room to get his official testimony/statement regarding the kidnapping attempt incident, the magic officers even inspect Bryson's magi-phone to check if he is concealing any lethal MSA, apparently, the magic officers have been made aware of Bryson's partic.i.p.ation on the fight that night, although it seems that the magic officers are only linking his involvement in defeating one of the kidnappers and they did not even suspect Bryson for his involvement in the killing of the five other criminals.

That day, Bryson also came to talk with Ava, although different from the last time they talk, Ava seems to have also been admitted to the hospital and is resting in her room that time. According to Ava, although Alisha still hasn't regain her consciousness, her condition seems to be improving a lot and the doctor said that she doesn't need to be put in a magia stasis state anymore, the doctors of the hospital seems to be treating Alisha's case as miracle and they couldn't even explain what is the cause of this event, of course Bryson being the only one who knows the source of the said "miracle" can't help but express a wry smile.

Speaking of the cause of the miracle, when Bryson woke up that morning of January 17, he immediately got into a quarrel with the source of the said miracle, the reason seems to be because Bryson remember some parts of what transpired that night including the "kissing incident" which is the main cause of their quarrel, although when Bryson remembers how the Demon king killed the five criminals, he immediately run into the toilet to puke while the Demon king is laughing at him while calling him a weakling.

"Are you sure you don't want to wait for that girl to wake up before we leave the hospital?" Alison ask Bryson with a lecherous grin on her face.

"I told you sis; we don't have to do that!"

Still grinning at Bryson, Alison continue while elbowing her brother "But you came to her rescue, right? It means you have a thing or two for her."

Bryson with a tired face beg her sister to stop. "Please sis let's stop talking about that."

"But it's true right?"

"..."

"See, I'm correct."

When his sister said that, Bryson looks away from his sister avoiding her glance. Alison seeing that reaction can't help but be confused by Bryson's decision to leave without saying goodbye.

"If that's how you feel, why not say goodbye at least."

".....Sis.....that night, I rush to the VIP building worrying for her, I even attempt to fight the people that are trying to take her away, but I failed, I can't even do what I came there to do, so I'm not shameless enough to face her and accept her grat.i.tude and take credit for something I did not even do."

[Lol, you're just embarra.s.s because of that kissing incident, stop making grand excuses.]

Unaware of the Demon king's mocking voice, Alisha shot a frustrated look at Bryson "Seriously Bry, why do you have to worry about such useless details."

Ignoring both the Demon king and his sister Bryson continues. "It's important sis, at least for me..."

"It's possible that you won't ever get to meet her again you know, miss Ava told you right? About who Alisha really is, so I'm gonna ask you one last time, are you sure about this?"

"...Yeah."

"I see.... if that's the case, let's go."

Monday, January 18, 2088 of the world calendar, that day Bryson leave the hospital without saying goodbye to Alisha.

Two days after Bryson left the hospital, Alisha wakes up and get discharge two days after.

"Are you sure you're ready to start working now secretary Ross, I heard your injuries are quite severe." A man in a dark blue suit ask Ava while sitting in an office chair.

"Thank you for your concern chairman, but I'm already fine, the injuries are not as severe as those three have claimed." Ava said in a polite and formal tone.

"But I heard that your hand got pierced and your left shoulder got burned."

"Aside from my left hand that is operated, the burn in my left shoulder is just a first degree burn so it's almost completely to healed already, my suit's protection also helped in minimizing the damage."

"If that's the case, I guess it's fine... Also, the nurse you fought, is she strong?"

"Quite so, although I believe I would have won if I have a weapon and if not for my impatience in rus.h.i.+ng to the young miss's aid."

"I see... So, how's Alisha's condition?"

"She's lively, it looks like she is ready for her magia control training."

"That's good to hear."

"By the way." The chairman adds. "I heard that when she woke up, she insisted on letting her talk to the boy who tried to save her."

"Oh, you mean that boy Bryson?"

The chairman nods at Ava and signal her to continue.

"Yeah she did." Ava unconsciously smiles recalling that incident. "It's unfortunate, but when the young miss wakes up, the boy is already gone."

"The boy left without saying anything?" The chairman asks looking quite intrigue.

"Well, I actually talked to him the day before he got discharge and it seems like he's beating himself over the fact that he hasn't been able to do anything to help the young miss."

"But he beat one of the kidnappers, right?"

"That's true, but it seems like he doesn't even consider that as such a big of a feat."

"Quite an interesting boy, If I recall correctly one of our staff is his sister, right?"

"Yes, his sister's name is Alison Brooks, she is one of our guild clerks."

Displaying a wide grin on his face and leaning back on his chair, the chairman speaks in a high pitch voice. "I see, that means we have a chance to at least let the two of them meet again."

"About that chairman, it seems like the young miss does not want to meet that boy for now."

Raising his eyebrow and leaning his face forward, the chairman asks "Hmmmm? That's quite odd, did she say why?"

"Well you see, the young miss said----"

My body still remember that sensation, the warmth of someone's lips touching into mine and the gentle heat that is spreading throughout my body as if trying to heal my very soul, yet every time I close my eyes, I can see the vivid image of a boy with a sky blue eyes looking at me full of worry and doubt. That night, even if his appearance and presence change, I did not mistake it, that calming sensation that envelop my entire being is the same feeling I always feel every time I'm talking to him, I don't know how and why that happen, but I consider that a secret that only the two of us knows.

I touched my lips while I'm rolling around my bed trying to calm my agitated heart.

I want to see him, I want to once again talk to him, but not yet, not until I'm strong enough to control my magia, not until I can walk alongside him without being a burden.

The me right now is too weak, but he had given me a chance and I will use this to build up my strength, so that when the time comes, I can hold my head high and support him with everything I have.
