"Cla.s.s pres dressed really girly today, is there any special occasion going on?" Ang asked.
Fang Tian blushed at the question. Her face seemed to match perfectly with the pink sundress she wore. "Nothing special, I just felt like wearing this today."
"She probably thinks she's going on a date with Yu Chang this afternoon," Ma Xiong cut in.
"Why do you always have to be so negative all the time?" Fang Tian fired back.
"What do you actually see in him anyway? Sure, he's smart but other than that there really is nothing special about him. For instance, have you guys ever felt even the slightest trace of spiritual energy coming from him?"
"What's that have to do with anything?"
"Now that you mention it, you're right. Students our age who haven't had proper training from a high-level master should not have the ability to completely conceal their energy. The only possibility is that he has little to no energy at all." Ang quickly addressed the point that Ma Xiong was making.
"You two are just jealous that Yu Chang is better than you," Fang Tian replied while sulking. As she finished her sentence, the door to the cla.s.sroom opened, and Yu Chang entered. Fang Tian's mood quickly brightened as she bounced to the door to greet him. "Yu Chang, good morning!"
"Ah, good morning president Fang. You look rather cute today, anything special happening?"
Fang Tian's face turned bright crimson at being called cute by Yu Chang. "Well, yesterday I asked you to accompany me this afternoon…"
"Ah right, sorry but I can't," Yu Chang interrupted. "Master seems to have made plans earlier this week, and I have to accompany her. Maybe another day."
Fang Tian's eyes flashed coldly for a second before her shoulders slumped. "I understand, next time then."
"I'm really sorry, this is not something I can get out of as it involves me."
The door opened again, and Instructor Song entered. "Alright cla.s.s, please take your seats. I have a few announcements for you this morning. First, as you all are aware, I'm sure, Instructor Star's house is floating over the sports field. To follow that, unless approved by the school, you are not to approach her house. It is imperative that you uphold proper student-teacher relations. Granted, this does not apply to Little Yu, being that your registered home of record is also Instructor Star's house. Keep in mind if you wish to have student gatherings, they must be somewhere other than there, unless approved by the school beforehand."
"Understood Instructor Song," Yu Chang responded.
The morning pa.s.sed by in a haze. Yu Chang was so distracted about the events to come in the afternoon that he even missed a question in cla.s.s causing many of the other students to be shocked. Of course, Yu Chang didn't notice their shocked expressions, but if he had, he wouldn't have thought much on it anyways. Finally, when lunch hour came, he woke up a bit once he realized he had a problem, he forgot to prepare a lunch this morning and had spent the last of his money the night before. While others were getting out their lunches or heading to the cafeteria, Yu Chang sat at his desk lost in thought.
"Can I join you?" Fang Tian asked though Yu Chang didn't seem to hear her. Since he didn't respond, she decided to just slide a desk up beside his and sit down. Tapping on his shoulder, she asked, "what's up with you today? You don't seem like you're here at all."
"Eh, I'm just thinking about what master planned for after school today."
"What could it be that's got you so out of sorts that you got a question wrong?" she asked.
"Master is taking to me to meet her parents," Yu Chang answered without putting much thought into it.
"Is this the so-called: 'taking the boyfriend home to meet the family' tradition?" Ang asked while he and Ma Xiong slid two more desks up to face Yu Chang and Fang Tian.
Yu Chang could feel the waves of anger coming from Fang Tian and decided it'd be best to interject. "It's really not like that, it seems her parents made her promise to bring me over after helping her solve some matter." He sighed as Fang Tian's murderous aura started to dissipate. Unfortunately, that relief was short lived as the door banged open.
"Little Yu! I personally made your lunch for you and yet you didn't even take it!"
"Eh? Master?"
"Don't eh master me! How could you be so insensitive?"
"You were the one that rushed me out the door this morning without even telling me…"
"Ehehe, did I? Well, whatever, I brought it for you." Falling Star came over and slid another desk up beside Yu Chang placing a boxed lunch on his desk.
Fang Tian's fury peaked once again, because of this woman, all her chances to be alone with Yu Chang kept being stolen away. "Instructor Star, while it's nice that you brought student Yu his lunch, don't you feel like you're crossing the boundaries of proper student-teacher relations.h.i.+ps?"
"Not really Little Fang, you wouldn't happen to be jealous, would you?"
"According to student rulebook chapter 3 paragraph 2 subsection 4: Student teacher interactions should be strictly kept to official school-related business," Fang Tian quoted the regulation smugly.
"Ah, very good Little Fang. However, same chapter amendment 1 states: Master-disciple bonds supersede all student teacher regulations. It wasn't a part of the original baseline regulations because the odds of a teacher and a student sharing a master-disciple bond was very rare. It was brought up during the ratification process, becoming the first amendment.
Yu Chang felt like a mouse trapped between two birds of prey if he didn't do something soon, he was likely to get ripped to shreds between these two women. "Master, while I appreciate you making me lunch and bringing it to me, I can't eat in such a noisy environment. I am going to find a quieter place to eat." Yu Chang stood and bowed his way out of the cla.s.sroom in a hurry.
"Ah, Little Yu, let me come too!" Falling Star chased after him before any of the others had a chance to react.
