"Love, I'll explain when we get back, we have to go now," Jena said a bit frantically. "But why not now? Just tell me now so I won't…" James couldn't even finish his statement before suddenly a white light began to envelop Jena.
"When you're done talking you'll sit down, I said we should go somewhere you're pestering me with questions. Unfortunately for you I have no time to give you now" Jena said coldly staring at James before the light completely engulfed her and she disappeared.
"Feisty…I like that. When you get back then," James said soliloquizing because Jena had already left.
-Overlords Base-
"Whoa! What happened here? Why is there so much blood? Amber, I'm sure you didn't do this?" Jena said shocked. "Of course I didn't and obviously Oliver couldn't have done this, that powerful master must've killed him and did this," Amber replied her swiftly, shocked that Jena would even think she caused this.
"But if that's the case, he must've been really p.i.s.sed. I just hope that James' dad is alive because if he isn't this is going to be troublesome, he was the only lead I had regarding the whereabouts of my dad and he's James' dad, I don't want to nurse a broken heart. I never planned to break his heart so I'm not prepared," Jena said seriously but still joking at the end.
Amber didn't even know how to react, 'This child. She sees this and is still able to joke, is she the daughter of some psychopath?' Amber thought because no matter how critically she tried to piece Jena's behavior she was left confused. Logically no child should act like this, but here was this anomaly she had as a master, A 14-year-old crazed psychopath that was most probably unfazed by anything happening.
-In the car going back to the Organization headquarters-
"Was it a wise idea to leave him in the booth? I mean this guy has lost so much blood already," Mo Fei said inquiring. "Mo Fei! Like you just said he has lost a lot of blood, isn't he supposed to be dead? No, right. Well since he isn't a couple of hours without a constant supply of oxygen shouldn't hurt" Lord Viper said angrily hinting at him to stop.
"Well I'm going to stop asking, because in your crazed head someone that lost that much blood is supposed to survive a few more hours without oxygen, that's about the smartest thing I've heard so far," Mo Fei said sarcastically before continuing his drink and soon fell asleep.
"He's not going to die and even if he does we have the memory patcher, that doesn't need him to be alive," Lord Viper said to no one in particular. 'I really hope for your sake you die, the evening I have planned for you won't be necessarily fun, well at least for you' Lord Viper thought to himself smiling.
-Overlords Base-
"System to a scan of this whole place, search for life forms. No matter how faint the signal relay it back to me"
Ding!! 'Area scan beginning'
Ding!! '10…30…40…50…100'
Ding!! 'Scan complete'
"Amber sweep the area quickly, we can't lose whoever that is. Whoever did this did a very clean job" Jena said coldly. "Yes, Jena," Amber said as she Left leaving an afterimage. 'The question now is. Who did this and Why? Obviously they figured out my origin and came to the slum lord but murdering every single person here. That's cold, even for me" Jena thought, confused by the series of events that had taken place in the span of time she had left.
It was almost already Nightfall and the day would soon be over. This day would give rise to the redemption of the slums and it spelled chaos for the Fireheart nation as we know it.
You know as funny as it may seem the Fireheart nation had a sense of order to it even as chaotic as it was, everyone knew their place and didn't interfere with anybody's business, and it was the true definition of chaotic order.
But dancing at the end of the needle has many times been proven to be very difficult, all it took was a slight push and it was all over.
-Somewhere in the slums-
"Dude, have you heard what happened? It was a freaking bloodbath at the Overlords base and he's gone now, No one knows his whereabouts, its crazy stuff mate, crazy stuff," Luka said to Tyler. "Sure…I heard what happened, but Luka what's in it for us," Tyler replied staring at Luka, "Tch! Are you that dimwitted? We freaking raid the place and rob" Luka said rubbing his temple.
Luka and Tyler were the outcomes of what you call a fling or one night stand, they're mothers were both prost.i.tutes and they had no father. With nothing in store for them in life and the fact they were not girls and couldn't be sold, they became worthless in the eyes of their mothers and were left to some old woman who took care of kids that were abandoned. But in the slums, you would learn that no one was ever good.
It turned out that she would raise those children and when they were at the right age she sold them off to some middle district merchant who would then sell them off for experimentation or s.e.x, this was how the black market for young kids worked.
-Overlords Base-
"Well, he's in a more horrible position than I expected, Teleporting would be an extra strain on him…Well we'll just have to hope he's really strong and then we'll see what the system can do to help his condition" Jena said staring at the mangled body of a young man on the ground. "Jena are you sure? Why don't we stay here and monitor what's going on, Whoever that master was he might send someone to come back," Amber said concerned. "Sure, But I'm not saying I'll take him with me, can't keep James waiting," Amber said smiling
"System take me back and bring him with me and yes I'm sure I want to bring him along," Jena said, soon a white light covered both Jena and the rest of whoever that was.
"I just hope this boy doesn't distract you, at the end of the day you're still a teenager," Amber said shaking her head.
