A Woman Hopelessly In Love 2 A New Day...

The sun rose and a glistening beam of light entered her room. She was sound asleep when sunrays struck her beautiful and perfect white toned skin.She liked the warmth of the sun. It was time for her to start a new day and face whatever it has in store for her.

She got up, neatly folded her bedsheets away , made her bed and then reached for her phone. It had just a "Goodnight" and a "Good morning" message from Alex. She replied with a "good morning" back to him.Alex is her good friend and they very been friends since school times.

She started her day by was.h.i.+ng up and then making herself a cup of tea and breakfast. She enjoyed it in her balcony with the daily news. She always avoided the entertainment section.

Over the years, a great deal of things have happened from her dreams changing to her current profession. She was now very different from the way she was 7 years ago. She was more composed, calm and gave a vibe a unshakeable confidence.

As she sipped the last sip of her tea,her phone rang.It was her mom. She quickly picked it up all excited and said "Hi Ma". Her mom replied " Hi s.h.i.+rley , baby have you eaten ? How was your trip?" . She said " It went much better than I had initially expected. I returned yesterday around nine." Mom was happy to hear her daughter so calmans rested after a week of stressful voices, she said " ok, then take rest. I LL call later" s.h.i.+rley said goodbye and went on with her day.

She had an off today she had planned to do all her laundry and get her luggage sorted.

She slowly removed all the gifts she had bought during the trip. She had been to New York for 1 week of presentation and seminars. She was the lead presenter and her presentation and work was highly appreciated. She was very thorough with her work and her skills were one of a kind.

She suddenly saw a msg on her phone that had popped up it was none other than her best friend Naomi. Naomi , her childhood friend and only one who knows the real s.h.i.+rley. She is completely different from herself.. she talks a lot, cries a lot and would change boyfriend's as if changing her clothes. Only thing common among them was both of them were self made women . She was an actress and a popular soap opera star. She had millions of fans but yet for s.h.i.+rley she was her "Nao"and no matter how busy she was , she would always find time for s.h.i.+rley.

She gave Naomi a call "Hi Nao. I am back and I have an off today. Why don't you come back here from shoot today? Will make your favorite noodles." Naomi was very happy and agreed to the same and said " My favorite garlic noodles.... yummy. I will get the wine and be there by 7. Bye".

s.h.i.+rley was done with everything when she saw small box in her cupboard corner. She took a look at it and just closed the cupboard. She didn't even go near it. It was too painful.

She prepared some rice congee and had it and went off to sleep. Late afternoon she got up and got out to get some grocery for the dinner tonight.

As she was moving towards the billing counter she got a call, It was the hospital. She quickly picked it up and from the other end of the phone a voice said " Dr s.h.i.+rley this is Sister Ann here from Neurosurgery department. We have an emergency. A minister's son is gonna be brought in from the capital, he needs to be operated tonight." . s.h.i.+rley replied " Tonight! Isn't it Dr George's on call today ? Why have you called me."

The nurse said "They have specifically asked for you."
