s.h.i.+rley u0026 Mrs Shaw finished shopping so went home, s.h.i.+rley helped her mom cook the lasagna, while Alex went to the Hospital. Alex is a renowned Aesthetic u0026 Plastic Surgeon, his skills are one any surgeon will envy but he is too choosy.... he decides whether he has to operate on the patient or not. If he doesn't like the case he simply rejects it or recommends someone else for it. He had operated once on Naomi only because s.h.i.+rley asked him to. Other than s.h.i.+rley he rarely listens or considers anyone important enough in his life. He has had many girlfriends in the past years no one has stayed more than 3 months with him. It's basically because he doesn't listen to her or do things for them. He spends on them but rarely spends time with them. These things s.h.i.+rley hated about him.

s.h.i.+rley and Mrs Shaw prepared lunch, after a while s.h.i.+rley went up to pack her stuff and was carrying her bags down when Patrick rushed and took it from her hands. She thanked him. Alex entered, and saw the scene he came towards them took s.h.i.+rley's hand and dragged her out to the porch and closed the door behind them . He took her to the swing in the front garden made her sit on it and squatted in front of her with his hand on her knees. Alex kept staring and contemplated as to how to tell her.

She eased the tensed environment between them by cupping his face in her hands and said " Say it whatever it is that's bothering you!" He closed his eyes calmed his nerves and spoke up " Please ! Stay away from Daniel Marshall !" He opened his eyes and met hers and continued " There is something off about the guy. The way he treats you, you are just his brothers doctor and he send his private jet for you. He keeps tabs on you and that patrick is here to keep a watch I feel. He reports back everything that happens here. " He sighed and continued" please , promise me you will be cautious this time. Last time it took a lot of effort to gather yourself up together after.... I don't want u to get hurt." s.h.i.+rley smiled ruffled his hair and said while holding his hand and a.s.suring him " I will stay away from 'Mr Devil Marshall' ok. I promise! I won't do anything stupid." He then got up and she gave him a big hug and she asked him "what about the patient you met?"

He said "I ll operate on him next week. Needs a special technique thats a bit new one will have to improvise." She nodded and said " Will miss you" He nodded and kissed her forehead and hugged again. They came back in and lunch was served. They all ate lunch together and clicked few pics together while eating. s.h.i.+rley got ready to leave, Patrick took away the luggage while she said her goodbyes. Patrick thanked Mrs Shaw for her hospitality. She blessed him. They finally started from home for the airport .

Patrick send the lunch pictures to his Boss completely forgetting about Alex being all clingy to Dr Shaw and informed him that they have started but in a jiffy Patrick received a picture text back with Alex's pic circled with a text together """Alex ??"". He could feel his Boss's temperature rising. He replied instantly ""Yes the one I mentioned earlier,childhood friend Dr Alex w.a.n.g , renowned Aesthetic surgeon, staying with Mrs Shaw at present."" There was no more reply from his Boss.

They had just reached airport when Betty called. Patrick answered " h.e.l.lo." She screamed from the other end " What the h.e.l.l did you tell the Boss? He is been continuously firing people since afternoon.. what did you report?" Patrick replied in a low tone " I and Dr Shaw just reached airport, we are about to board the plane. Will reach and discuss on it. Bye" he sighed and then continued to take his luggage to the Jet. They got in and she went off to sleep as soon as it flew. She was exhausted by all the shopping and cooking. The stress was getting the better of her. She slept through out the flight. She was awaken by the announcement of pilot that they were going to land. She looked out the window and she saw the city lights and thought " Back to work. Let's get this new job done."

Daniel was about to have a meeting with his financial team when he received the picture text he saw it, and noticed the guys hand around s.h.i.+rley .. he was like ' So close, hugging each other.. first lilies then this closeness.. I can't take it.. how close are you to him' he couldn't understand but he was furious. Went to the meeting with a cold face.

They landed safely, Patrick came, the doors were opened they came out and a car was already waiting for them. She looked at Patrick and the chauffer who was carrying her luggage. They loaded it in the car and started towards the villa. s.h.i.+rley requested to make 2 quick stops at her home to meet Lily and Naomi's residence to deliver the packed lasagna. He then saw few more boxes of lasagna. Patrick asked "Ma'am you have many more left do we need to stop anywhere else too." She chuckled at his questions and replied "No , I had packed one for Jim and one for Mr.Marshall. It's my Mom's way of thanking him for helping me" Patrick's face lit up, he messaged Betty ""Are you u0026 Boss in the villa yet. If not please come back you will see some sparks and fireworks today."

Betty read it in suprise when Daniel noticed and he asked " What's the matter?" She respondedbquickly "Patrick is on his way with Dr Shaw to the Villa. Was asking when will we be reaching. " The moment he heard it, his heart started pounding in his chest. He looked at Betty and told her " Ask Xang to get the car ready we are leaving in 5." Betty stood in surprise but gathered herself together and got Xang on phone. He stood up closed his laptop and got out of his office walked to the lift and got to the bas.e.m.e.nt along with Betty carrying doc.u.ments , they got into his Maybach and instructed Xang to drive to the Villa.

He reached just few minutes after them. He got in and saw her sneakers in the shoe rack and felt a warm feeling spreading in his chest. The feeling of being home. He removed his shoes and wore his home sandals and walked in to the drawing room looked at Patrick and asked him " The journey was ok I suppose? " He nodded in agreement. He then walked back to his room. Betty followed into the villa but stayed back to know some gossips from Patrick. He went into the room, closed the door and leaned on it and held his chest to calm his heart down.
