My name is Hazel. About 2 years ago, I was an average misfit in high school. I had just moved into town with my parents. I was glad to finally have a solid home. My parents and I moved around a lot, but this time, finally, we stayed.

Although I tried my best to fit in, I still was the outcast of the town. I was bullied and picked on for my looks and dark attire. Because of this, I spiraled into depression and often snuck a few drinks from my dad's liquor cabinet. I was a troubled teen. I still am, to be honest.

At school I was called a witch and given the nickname "Hexel" by my peers. When they picked on me, however, I stood my ground and fought back, often leading to after school detention. It was there I met Jake, the school prankster.

Over time me and Jake bonded and teased each other. After some time, our relations.h.i.+p grew to the point of love. At least, I thought it was.

One afternoon, in detention, I needed a pick-me-up. So we decided to meet up at the town's most popular hang out, the old house by the hill. I had snuck out late at night in an attire I hoped would finally get me laid. How foolish I was!

As I entered the house, the halls were lit with scented candles leading the way to the master bed. I was to deep in love to see the signs then. The van down the street, the whispers of people other than us, and the creeks of the floorboards.

In the room, Jake had tied me to the bed in pink, fuzzy cuff links. As he got in bed with me, my heart beat faster and faster. I had even moaned once or twice. But before he penetrated me, before the climax, he stoped.

There I laid, cuffed and confused.

Then he whispered in my ear the most horrifying thing. I struggled to get him off me, but the cuffs held me to the bed. He yelled and a strange group of people came in. A cult I soon called the Masked Men because each has on a different face. Each of them had different emotions plastered on in a plastic mask with Jake as the leader. But enough of that. Back to the story.

As I continued to struggle to get free, Jake stabbed me with a needle that would change my fate forever. It would eventually change my appearance, my strength, and my DNA. But it is also because of this that I am free. It was this moment that changed my life, for better or for worse.
