The Alphas Used And Abused Mate 18 Eight:Why?

I entered the real world after Veronica had cut off the mind link. 'What the h.e.l.l was she thinking....' I thought to myself as I sat down in my office chair and took a small sticky not as well as a pen to write down the things she needed, then called Alexi in her to go get the s.h.i.+t Veronica requested.

"You expect me to let Veronica touch one of those things? She's like my little sister! I'm not gonna watch her hold one of these things." He grumbled out while crumpling the note.

"Do you want to see her dead Lex?" I hissed back.

"....No.."

"Then go get it." I said as I watched him walk out of the room, then Aaron tapped me on the shoulder which s.h.i.+fted my attention to him.

"My little sis is going to come home... right Alpha Xander?" He asked, concern tainting his voice.

"That's my full intention Aaron.." I responded before squeezing his shoulder as a sense of rea.s.surance. I then looked over at Becca's figure facing the fireplace as she curled her body up.

"She's going to come home Rebecca. I swear." 'Even if it's the last thing I do..' I thought to myself.

Alexi walked into the room with both of the things I requested for Veronica. I picked up one of the pieces to feel for it's weight.

"She'll be able to hold it.. I just hope she knows to use it..." I said aloud and looked up at Alexi.

"You're coming with me." I said as I stood up from my chair, walking out with the items in my hands. We both stepped down the stairs, and weaved around the guards surrounding the pack house, then proceed to venture into the woods till we reached the old willow. I felt around it until I felt the hole in the trees trunk and reached inside, pulling out a cedar box then opened the top, looking at all the things inside it. The contents being a bundle of miscellaneous things, like pictures of Veronica and I, Veronicas locket with another picture of us inside, some dried rose petals from roses we would give to each other. I almost forgot about this, good thing I took it out. I shoved the piece of metal down the tree trunk along with the box of matches then exchanged a look with Alexi before mind linking V that the things she requested were where she wanted them, but I hadn't gotten a response which did make me worry, but then I remembered she told me not to lose my s.h.i.+t if she didn't respond. So I didn't. 'G.o.d, please don't kill yourself with that d.a.m.n revolver Veronica.. Please..'
