The carriage pa.s.sed through the crowded streets and relatively empty slums until it arrived at the fox-kin tents. It was early in the morning so the sun barely illuminated a lone figure standing at the edge of the fox-kin encampment.

Joe stood there alone with his vigorous beard swaying within the wind. His mighty axe was strapped to his back as he waved at Caesar with a broad grin on his face. The teeth in his mouth seemed to glimmer faintly, and Caesar couldn't help but squint his eyes.

He had thought that Joe would be reluctant to leave, but the current situation told him otherwise. A lousy premonition a.s.saulted Caesar as he pulled the reigns and stopped the carriage, just a few meters in front of the excited Joe.

The horses neighed bitterly as they were brought to an abrupt stop. Joe used this time to leap on to the carriage and sat at the side of Caesar. He then turned his head left and right in confusion, "is there no one else coming?" he asked.

Caesar glanced at him with the corner of his eyes, "a small group of adventures will be potentially joining us soon," he said, "however, if not, then we will be going alone."

"Ahri won't be joining us?" Joe asked with a bewildered tone, "I had thought for sure that you two were inseparable, especially after winning the war. Perhaps, you two spent too much time together and are now at each other's throats."

Caesar rolled his eyes and didn't bother replying to Joe; instead, he directed the carriage toward the tavern where he had met the group of adventurers. He had essentially insulted them; however, if they truly loved money, then they would be present.

With this in mind, they soon arrived at the busy tavern. A few drunkards were busy loitering around the entrance. However, a group of two, man and woman, were present. One of them was the adventurer which had stopped him a few days ago.

The group of two approached Caesar's carriage and bowed respectfully, "my name is Joanna, and this is Richard. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, your highness" the woman said with utmost eloquence.

Caesar answered them with silence, thus, the woman could only cough into her hands and continue, "I am one of the members of their group... the others didn't want to complete this commission, so I volunteered myself." she explained.

Caesar nodded his head in understanding and gestured to the back of the carriage, where a small set of stairs were present. At the side, Joe couldn't help but snicker and glue his eyes on to Joana's bosom.

"This is our group?" Joe whispered from the side as a strange smile formed on his lips, "I can't wait to see Ahri's reaction when she realizes you traveled alone with a beautiful woman instead of her."

Caesar flicked Joe on the forehead and once again sighed, "I wasn't aware that there would be a woman amongst them. Besides, why are you so nosy today? Is there something bothering you?"

As Caesar spoke to here, he ordered the horses to move forward. As they started to move, the expressions of the two in the carriage began to warp. The middle-aged man was shaking fearfully as the woman arrogantly crossed her legs.

"So that's the demon marshall, huh?" she grumbled, "He's nothing like how my two subordinates said he was… is he acting?"

Unfortunately, she wouldn't receive her answer very quickly, as Caesar was currently busy catering to Joe. He was acting rather strange today, and Caesar's curiosity was piqued—what would make Joe act so peculiar?

Thus, he didn't even bother talking to the mysterious woman who had entered his carriage. In fact, he already knew that she had some sperate intentions. He could easily tell that the middle-aged man was afraid and that she was lying. However, the mana within her body was faint, so she didn't pose much of a threat.

The reason why he even let her on in the first place was due to the fact that he felt intrigued by her purpose. As such, a somewhat strange and awkward journey took place. Limbo kingdom was located a fair distance away from Rahvin kingdom, but it was not excessively far.

The journey lasted around a week or so, and that was with plenty of stops and sleep. The middle-aged man, Richard, was forced to drive the carriage for most of the way. Joanna didn't even touch the reigns, while both Caesar and Joe played chess and checkers in the back.

The azure continent was filled with mostly savannahs and relatively peaceful plains. Thus, the horses were easily fed and hydrated along the way. No wild animals even dared to approach Caesar's carriage, and everything moved smoothly.

The beautiful terrain was an eyeful, vastly different from the dark continent. The gra.s.s was full of life, swaying within the wind. The trees were thick and stood tall as if they were trying to pierce the clouds. The sparkling clean lakes reflected the suns gleam and an a.s.sortment of fish ran rampant inside.

Joe was full of excitement as he took in the new sights, which was significantly different from how he acted during the journey toward the dark continent. His face was full of smiles, and he even conversed with both Richard and Joanna frequently.

Caesar, on the other hand, remained placid and cold; he only talked to Joe and didn't look at Joanna. He felt that it was quite comical teasing the poor girl who clearly wanted his attention. She would constantly try to spark up a conversation or seduce him. Alas, she was far too young and amateurish to garner his attention.

Thus, their journey ended with no hurdles, nor roadblocks. They were now traveling down a bustling street, full of immigrants and merchants. The carriages formed two rows as they waited to be checked by the guards at Limbo kingdom.

Even from a distance, the ma.s.sive stone walls greeted them. They were at the very least, twice the size of Rahvin kingdoms walls. A draw bridge and a moat were also present at the very forefront of their kingdom, alongside a few hundred guards. They were adorned in silver armor and gave off a very menacing aura.

Caesar ordered the three buffoons in his carriage to settle down as they slowly approached the check-in. It was finally time for them to enter a human kingdom not a.s.sociated with Rahvin, a new experience that Caesar had yet to feel.

"I can sense two people with powerful mana inside…" Caesar whispered to Joe, putting him on guard.

"Stronger or weaker than you?" Joe asked with a confident smile.

Caesar squinted his eyes, "stronger."
