"Open the door," Vixen asked, leaning against the wall beside the door.

"Not even a good morning?" the voice replied from the cell.

"That's a useless greeting," Vixen sighed, "open the door."

"I'm inside the cell how do you exp-"

"Open the door Mr. Cloud," Vixen growled, "I know you have the keys in there, you expect me to believe the owner of this place would lock himself out of his house?"

No sound could be heard from the other side of the door for a few seconds. Then there's a bit of shuffling and a few metallic clicks before the door swings open.

"Nice one," Mr. Cloud grinned proudly, spreading his arms wide for a hug, "as expected of my son."

"Don't call me that," Vixen replied, pus.h.i.+ng past Mr. Cloud. He waited for the door to close behind him before turning to face his dad, "I-"

"What is it you want to talk about," Mr. Cloud asked, as he walked to the table in the middle of the room and sat down beside it, "besides the fact that you want me to move out of this cell and into the jails beneath the asylum."

Vixen could feel his lips itching to form a scrowl but held back, "so you do know I want you to go further away from me and down to the jail cells where you belong."

"Yes," Mr. Cloud smiled and then pointed to his head, "but you see mental illnesses can be a blessing."

"More like a way to evade the h.e.l.l that you deserve," Vixen hissed.

Sure, call it whatever you want," Mr. Cloud sighed, waving his hand in Vixen's face in a swiping movement as if he was trying to hit away the negativity that flowed off his son, "what did you come here for?"

Vixen considered getting up and leaving but he had come too far to just turn back, "there's… a new patient in room 207."

"And?" Mr. Cloud asked, playing with the curls in his hair, "how does that concern me? Did I accidentally murder one of their family members?"

"If you did, you think I'd come in here peacefully like I did?" Vixen spat, looking away from his father.

"Point made," Mr. Cloud chuckled. He stared at Vixen for a second before carefully proceeding, "is he bothering you? Should I…. get rid of them?"

Vixen's head snapped back to Mr. Cloud, raw anger splattered on his face, "is murder the only thing you know how to do? Being a brute is not everything in this world, grow up."

Mr. Cloud's jaw clenched at his son's comment, his hands twitched as he resisted raising them up and slamming it against the hard rock called Vixen's mind. Letting out one long breath, Mr. Cloud let out another smile, "You'd be surprised what 25 years of a thuggish lifestyle would do to you, the boundaries between good and bad will be so blurred and you'll be blinded by other's expectations of you so there's no way to know where you're walking."

"No need to tell me," Vixen snapped, "I have a perfect real-lifez model sitting in front of me that shows that."

The urge to hit him was starting to build again and this time Mr. Coud was running out of the fuel to prevent himself from spiking his son, "if that's not what you want," he snarled, "they why waste your time and come to me? Is there something going on with that new addition? Is his room too close to somewhere you want to protect or something? Cuz' if it is, you should've gone to your mum instead to handle that."

"She's a her, not a him," Vixen muttered.

"What was that?" Mr. Cloud asked, barely getting a whiff of what Vixen had said.

"I said it's she not a he," Vixen growled, maintaining eye contact for a few seconds before looking away, a slight blush on his face.

Mr. Cloud examined Vixen's face to see if there was any strain of a lie on his face, he bit back the urge to exclaim 'YES!' when he found none. "Whew~" Mr. Cloud sighed letting out a sigh of relief.

Vixen turned to him, confused at his reaction, "'Whew~'?"

"Ah," Mr. Cloud muttered with a nervous laugh, "I was just happy it was a girl, I was starting to believe you were gay."

Vixen stared into his father's eyes, "and if I am?"
