Reflection In The Mirror 20 La'ombre

 That's how long they had to prepare. Since they only have that much of a time, leaving the Underworld to train is out of question. 

   Maybe that's why Rowan was making calls. He seemed to be using the favors people owe him. 

     From what he listened, Donna Camelia had ordered Rowan to awake his(Judas's) dormant abilities. But since Rowan himself was not an expert on this. So he was calling for his old friend to come and help. 

     It made Judas uneasy, like something inside him didn't like this idea. He was an intuitive person and it never led him astray. Even so, there was nothing he could do to refuse. It was Donna's order after all. 

 He sighed and stretched a bit on his seat. He had been working on a few types of poisons and antidotes for them. There were probably all types of poisonous animals and plants, if the chance of survival really was 1%.

  He looked at the poisons he currently had ready along with the antidotes. To make it easy to carry, he will probably have to fit them all in one hiking bag. So that means he can only carry limited amount of poisons and antidotes. 

    Sure, he could carry most of them in his body but he would need an unbreakable container…. 

Pills!! 

  He just has to make pills if he can't carry liquid poison. It would be easier to carry and won't look suspicious either. Well, it certainly was something he never did before. So it will probably take lots of time. 

   Judas will have to ask Rowan to pack the rest of his things. He felt little guilty for doing that but that's probably what the old man would have done himself anyway. 

 Smiling, satisfied with the idea he stood up and walked towards the door. He needed to find Rowan immediately. The black haired man left the room to go search for the old man. 

    Walking towards the kitchen where the said man probably was cooking in. He did his best to calm down his excitement. Trying to refine pills was such a good idea. Something he never tried before. And maybe he can do the same with the antidotes! 

    Entering the kitchen, he was greeted by Rowan who was as predicted cooking. Well more like baking cookies. 

   "Good evening Judas. Here have some cookies" 

  "Yes, thank you Rowan" 

  He mumbled, taking a chocolate chip cookie from the plate offered to him. Judas bit into it, moaning at the heavenly taste.  After yesterday's fight, he had relaxed tons but also the news of the next task added to his already stressed mind. 

     But sitting here and eating the cookies Rowan baked was almost enough to make him forget his troubles. Swallowing the food in his mouth (he doesn't want to be scolded,thanks!). Judas looked up at the graying man. He opened his mouth to ask. 

   "Hey Row" 

 Huh?... 

   Why was everything… 

Going dark?... 

 He pa.s.sed out.

    "er! - Se-..... SER!" 

Someone was chanting…

Why are they chanting? 

No, no! Stop! Stop talking! 

   You can't! You can't open it! Stop! Stop! 

 It hurts…. 

 ItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsIthurtsItHurtsItHurtsIthurts!!!!!!! 

  Make it stop!!! Stop it!! 

  Hide opened his mouth and screamed. 

 "AAAGGGGHHH!!!" 

  It was too much. This pain was too much! 

He bit his lips, pulling at the restraints around his wrists and ankles. 

  People around him continued to chant, as a red circle glowed under him. 

  "Ser! Yami no Naka no Tamas.h.i.+!Apri gli occhi!Our true self!"

    Black lightning surged from the circle, surrounding the body tied down in the middle. 

  They hit him one after another, creating red bleeding flesh in their wake.

Blood poured from the wounds, filling in the craved circle lying beneath him. It glowed once, 

Twice.. 

Thrice… 

 And complete darkness 

   Even then the white robbed people continued to chant. Hide's voice caught in his throat as he choked, coughing out blood.  

    Once again, despite the blood in his mouth he screamed. Lightning ripped open his chest, allowing the escaping purple cube to escape from the glowing red wound of charred flesh.

He could feel himself dying. It was too much, they were cruel! To rob a person of their soul! 

 He will kill them… 

 They will pay! They will pay! 

   Stay away! Don't touch what's mine! 

 He, with all his might. Gathering his last breath roared! 

  "GHRAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!"

The chanting paused. 

 Shadows surged from under the still warm body of the dying kind and lashed out. Pus.h.i.+ng the protesting cultists back, throwing them off their feet. As it circled possessively around the body and the purple cube floating in the air. 

    Then it latched into the light and pulled it back, dragging it as the cube tried to escape the grasps of the shadows. Seeking for freedom until it was put back into the cooling corpse. 

 Hide opened his eyes, purple gems like pupils glistening with madness. Ripping the restraints off, the bleeding man full of wounds stood up. Shadows circling and dancing around him, entering and sewing the body back. 

  It was gruesome and painful progress. 

  Once the wounds were all closed, the shadows sunk back into the ground and the body fell back into the ground like a puppet with its strings cut off. 

    Once black hair paling into silver as it spilled over the ground. 

   The process was complete. 

They succeeded in releasing the sealed power. 

 With this, the Fleur Famiglia will come out on top. 

   The white robbed men stood up shakily. Whispering and grinning among themselves as they stared at the man laying on the ground. 

   Judas… 

From now on dubbed as Judas L'Ombre. Will lead them to victory. 

   The Shadow Betrayal. 

A fitting name for a puppet who will betray his allies for the glory of Fleur Famiglia.
