Bad idea bad idea. I really have to stop doing these things on a whim. A moment ago , I scooped up a slab of medicine in my hand and tried to slowly apply it to a cut on his face.

He stays quiet, letting me smooth out the medicine paste on his soft, sun-kissed skin. His golden eyes stare at me with unfounded admiration.

After finis.h.i.+ng his face I look at his pet.i.te body covered in gauze and frown slightly. Part of me is saying I shouldn't touch a stranger's body, but the other side of me is telling me that he's just a little kid and he shouldn't have to do it himself. Then...I'll let him decide.

"I've finished your face. ...Do you want to put the medicine on the rest of your injuries yourself or... do you want me to do it." I ask in an embarra.s.sed tone.
