The Damn Hunter 20 Benevolent And Malevolen

"What is that?" Yu Chen shouts while frantically looking around his surroundings.

"Come out now, I'm not afraid of you!" Yu Chen shouts once more into the darkness.

"Senior Yang Guang if it is you stop it right now!" For the third time Yu Chen shouts but still there is no response to his questions.

The sound of leaves rustling can be heard from inside the old abandoned house, the surroundings area is pitch black just like the night sky tonight. The sun's pale sister hides with the little sparkles in the night sky behind the dark clouds.

Creak~

The sound of a door slowly opening whispers into Yu Chen's ear, he frantically turn around but all he sees is the empty room that he was in was darkness.

But something feels off for Yu Chen, like a voice telling him that he was not alone as if something is beside him. Yu Chen right now for some reason can feel a chill on his shoulder, like a human palm but cold like ice.

Yu Chen turns his head slowly, his heart beat furiously and....

ARRHHH

A few hours ago.

"Se...senior Yang Guang, a..a..are we really going t..to hunt spi...spirits?" Yu Chen asked Yang Guang who is reading spirit weekly on the radio tower.

Yang Guang turns his head towards Yu Chen with a wide smile on his face and said. "What are you afraid? I thought you are only afraid of being **** by girls."

"Senior stop teasing me and tell me are we going or not!" Yu Chen shouted while shaking Yang Guang back and forth on top the radio tower.

Yang Guang quickly grabs the radio tower to prevent himself from falling down to the ground and becoming a spirit himself. He then shouted. "YES YES YES WE ARE GOING TO HUNT SPIRITS NOW LET ME GO OR YOU ARE GOING TO HUNT ME NEXT!"

"NO I'M NOT GOING!" Yu Chen continue to shake Yang Guang with all his strength until Yang Guang cannot take it anymore and hits Yu Chen hard on his head.

Yang Guang then cracks his knuckles and says. "I guess you forget who the senior here is."

Yu Chen quickly quite down and sits at the other side of the radio tower, when Yang Guang sees this he felt a sense of guilt rising from his heart. He walks to Yu Chen's side and said. "Why are you so afraid? At least tell me so I can let you go home."

Yu Chen tilted his head up a little bit and said meekly. "I seen a ghost when I were little, I were spooked by it. Since then I have been avoiding scary movies and dark scary places."

Before Yang Guang can say anything Yu Chen then asks another question. "Can't we call an exorcist cla.s.s hunter to help us?"

Yang Guang then sighs and said. "Did you forget that I'm the last hunter in the city?"

Yang Guang pats Yu Chen and said. "Don't worry, let me teach you two new things tonight after that you might be even more afraid of spirits or completely not afraid of them."

"Are you gambling my future with ghosts?" Yu Chen asked with doubt.

Yang Guang nods with a smile on his face, he then start to climb down the radio tower and head into the city with spirit weekly stuff in his jacket.

The both of them walked around the city, the street lights s.h.i.+nes onto the both of them. Occasionally Yang Guang would stop under a street light and refer to the map in spirit weekly.

Finally the both of them reach an old abandoned house, the walls of the house was as black as tonight's sky, dead leaves are everywhere on the ground and sometimes a gust of wind will lift them off, the whole house look like a prop for a horror movie.

Yang Guang then shows Yu Chen the cover of this week's spirit weekly, Yu Chen then looks at the abandoned house and occasionally glance at the cover.

"This is the house feature in the cover right?" Yu Chen asked, a bad feeling start to brew in his heart the longer he look at the house.

Yang Guang nods and said. "You are correct this is the feature house and it is the most haunted house this week."

"Can I leave now?" Yu Chen asked but his legs are preparing to run away from this place.

Yang Guang smirks and points at the second floor of the abandoned house and said. "Yea you can leave here and head to the second floor of the house and check if there is anything up there."

After he finished what he wanted to say, Yang Guang walks into the house and disappear into the darkness, Yu Chen takes a gulp of air and slowly walked into the house.

But all of that was in the pa.s.s, now Yu Chen is shouting on the top of his lungs when he sees a woman with long black hair in front of her face standing behind him. The spirit is wearing a piece of crimson dress with her hand still on Yu Chen's shoulder.

"YANG GUANG SAVE ME!" Yu Chen shouts for help but all he hear now is laughter coming from every direction in the room.

The spirit then moves closer to Yu Chen, placing her hands on his face, she then flips her hair back revelling nothing more than an empty skull with hair attach to it.

CRACK

The sound of bones breaking can be heard by Yu Chen and the spirit, by much to his surprise the one who had its bone break isn't him but the spirit.

Yu Chen quickly turn around and sees that he is still in front of the house and Yang Guang is standing at the front door of the house looking at the spirit from inside.

"What happen?" Yu Chen start to move back slowly away from the spirit, but the spirit did not give up and tries to grab Yu Chen once more.

CRACK

The sound of bones breaking can be heard again, but this time Yang Guang's rattan pole pa.s.s through the spirits rib cage and pierce through the crimson dress.

Yang Guang quickly moves his rattan pole up and breaks the spirit's body splitting it in half, he then crush the skull of the spirit with his foot breaking it to pieces.

The spirit starts to fade leaving a black pearl on the ground, instead of picking up the pearl Yang Guang runs towards Yu Chen and asks. "Are you alright? I'm sorry I had made a mistake."

"I'm fine, but what happened just now?" Yu Chen asks while looking at Yang Guang.

Yang Guang sighs and answers. "It is my fault, I should have notice earlier that you are trapped inside the spirit's illusions, are you sure you are okay?"

"You mean I never entered the house?" Yu Chen asks while pointing at the abandoned house.

Yang Guang nods and says. "Your soul almost was suck out from your body by that malevolent spirit, good thing I notice that you did not came in and rushed out to find you."

"Let's go somewhere else I hate this place." Yu Chen quickly walks away without waiting for Yang Guang, Yang Guang quickly follow after him but pick up the black pearl on the ground before leaving the area.

Yang Guang then chase after Yu Chen and tells him to follow him but Yu Chen refuses due to being afraid so Yang Guang promises him that he protect him better this time.

The both of the walks until they reach a large tree, Yang Guang then stands under the tree and points up, Yu Chen moves his head and sees a young woman sitting on the tree branch.

When he wants to run away, Yang Guang pulls his jacket and says. "You are coming with me."

Yang Guang then starts climbing the tree with Yu Chen, occasionally making sure Yu Chen did not run away, when the reach the branch the young woman is sitting at the young woman suddenly turns and looks at them.

Yu Chen starts to take a step back while Yang Guang just stand there looking at the young woman, all the sudden the young woman extends her hand and says. "Can you please help me?"

Yang Guang nods and holds the young woman's hand, he then asks. "I will help you finish your unfinished business so don't worry."

"I want to see my family once more, just once is enough please." the young woman begs Yang Guang, her eyes are filled with hope and determination.

Yang Guang nods and jumps down the tree with the young woman, when Yu Chen sees this he quickly climbs down the tree and follow after them.

The young woman the starts leading Yang Guang and Yu Chen until they reach a residential area in the city, they walks to a house with a balcony that was larger than the houses around it.

At the balcony, a young boy about seven years old sits there alone looking at the empty night sky, he then mutters to himself. "Mommy are you hiding with the moon and the stars tonight again?"

The young woman then looks at Yang Guang, with a smile on his face Yang Guang nods and release the young woman's hand, the young woman smiles back at Yang Guang, a tear falls from her eye as she runs towards the little boy.

The young woman then fly up and appear in front of the little boy, when the little boy suddenly sees his mother appear right in front of him like magic he quickly hugs her but finds out that he can't touch her anymore.

The little boy starts to cry, tears dripping down from his face to the ground but his mother wipes of his tears and whispers to him. "Do you want to see the stars with mommy again?"

The little boy nods vigorously, a faint smile start to appear on his face. The young woman waves her hands at the empty night sky, the places where her hands pa.s.s through stars start to appear.

One by one the start lit up the black night sky until the moon finally appears, she then sits down beside her son and enjoy the night sky with him.

"Son what had happen why are you crying, are you missing your mother again?" a gentle voice comes out from the house, a young man then walks to the balcony and sees the little boy sitting right beside the young woman.

"Honey is that you?" the young man slowly start to walk towards them, with each step he takes a teardrop will fall onto the ground. When the young woman heard his husbands voice she turns he head and smiles at him, she then signals him to come and sit with them and enjoy the night sky.

The three of them then sits right beside each other, no words were spoken between them because they know if they say anything now it would be even harder when they day goodbye to each other for the last time.

While looking at them Yang Guang gives out a faint smile, he hold his hand up into the starry night trying to grab a star like a little kid. He then turns to Yu Chen and says. "Not all spirits are bad, the night sky that you are seeing now is also form by the same illusion that scared you just now."

"There will be bad in this world but there will also be good, take me for example even thought I can never be with my parents for one last time like them I have my grandparents and you by my side."
