afterwards he would spend the next two day in hiss own room. various sounds of alchemy, magic, and clanging could be heard, before he came out 2 day later and made an outrageous request

*THUD* "I SAID NO!" exclaimed Raven as she slammed her hands on the table

"BUT MO~~~M." pouted Adrien towards his adventurer mother

*GUH* Raven flinched as her son pouted at her, she always had a weakness toward his cute expressions, but not this time, she told herself

"PLEA~~~SE!" begged Adrien as he tugged at his mothers clothes

"I can't believe I'm doing this." exclaimed Raven in suffering exasperation

she had easily crumpled in the face of her son's relentless a.s.sault and caved to his desires

so now here they were, strolling through the demonic plains as Adrien carried with him two, long, narrow, packages wrapped in cloth while Raven kept a watchful eye to their surroundings

"So... What are we doing here anyway" Raven asked as she and Adrien went to search for any beast

"We're here to test out my weapons" answered Adrien

"Weapons?" Raven was bewildered "Where'd you even get weapons from, cause I'm sure I didn't let buy any that one time."

"I made them." answered Adrien in kind which just further confused his mother

"... Speaking of, let's test it out on that guy." continued Adrien while pointing over in the distance

Raven looked there and almost freaked, she immediately jumped in front of him, bearing her sword in hand,

"Stay back! Adrien! That's a fully matured wyvern!" she shouted while standing in front to protect her son

"... I see." he said simply, before he reached back and brandished one of the packages on his back. the cloth fell away to reveal...

a gun

a beautiful, majestic, gun

it's to be expected, of course, he had inherited a weapons manufacturing company in life after all. despite his mastery of all subjects, weapons engineering will always have a special place in his heart.

so when he got the chance, he built one, but not just any measly gun

he had embraced the new worlds aesthetic, and designed a beautifully detailed lever action rifle, one that could fit in the victorian era, it had a lacquered wood stock, polished steel body, and used a large revolver chamber, rather than a magazine

he slid out the chamber, and inserted nine, 75 caliber rounds from his belt pouch. he pushed the lever, which did two things, it chambered the bullet, and sent electricity coursing through the rifled barrel.

the gun had used magic to bolster its components. the barrel had specially designed spell arrays that one, sent lighting through it in a specific pattern, turning it into a coil-gun, improved version of the rail-gun, and caused a twisted vacuum to form. the chamber had no hammer, and bullet no explosive propellant, instead using a combined fire and wind spell set to explode powerfully and send the bullet flying

the bullet also used magic, not only having a delayed, impact-activated explosive spell inscribed on the lead bullet, but also had compressed, powdered fire nature stone in the cartridge, that would act as propellant for jet thrust once activated

so, when Adrien pulled the trigger, it activated the exploding chamber, launching the bullet, while at the same time activating the propellant, it sailed through the barrel, further sped along by the powerful magnetic fields and twisted vacuum that caused it spin, stabilizing it's flight, while jet propulsion activated, carrying it forward

the bullet flew out the barrel, straight across the clearing, and right into the wyverns core, before it exploded not a second after penetrating the scales

"SUCCESS!" cried out the gunner as watched the wyvern crumple to ground, lifeless and with a foot wide hole in its chest

meanwhile, Raven was startled by the loud *BANG* which accompanied the shot, and was in awe at the power of the weapon

"Well... I'm impressed, I've seen little kiddie wyverns shrug off enchanted arrows spears. yet that spell you used absolutely demolished the adult there." she said after a while

"Not a spell." was his simple response as he started to walk towards the corpse of the bipedal dragon

when they got there, Adrien pulled out the other package, and it revealed a sword, a simple saber, single edged, and had inscriptions along the steel blade, he sent his mana through the array, causing a faint *thrumm* sound to permeate the air, before he swung, it was good form, but a lazy swing

which then chopped straight through the wyverns neck, severing the head

the mother just shook her head in exasperation, seeing yet another weapon that could have easily killed a dragon in a single strike

"... I want one." she said after a while

"Sure." was all he said
