His Maid, Her Prince 3 “Is She Still Alive?”

"ANNA!"

"Is she still alive?"

"I don't know."

"Bruh"

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a bunch of people standing over me.

"She's alive!" Brooklyn said as she jumped up and down.

"Good because if she wasn't then we would have serious consequences. And I can't deal with my dad." Ava said sounding almost annoyed.

"What happened?" I replied with a scratchy voice form sleeping all day:

"You are in the hospital. At dance practice someone pushed you and you hit your head and got a nasty concussion and a few broken ribs from being kicked around." Cameron said.

"And this is why I do softball." Ava replied sitting in the back rolling her eyes.

"I'm just to lazy to play a sport." Rachel announces proudly.

We all burst out laughing even Ava and she was in some mood. And when she was in a mood you learned don't mess with her.

Ava leaned over and whispered something in Cam's ear.

"Will be outside." Cameron's said whispering in Brooklyn's ear about whatever Ava said.

You could hear Rachel asking a million questions down the hall.

I looked back at Ava her hazel eyes filled with worry.

"What's wrong?"

"It just Child services figured out you have no legal guardian. They are going to take you into custody because when you got admitted to the hospital they had to alert the authorities because you were underage. I'm shocked we managed to keep it a secret for 12 years." Ava was now looking into s.p.a.ce with the worry in her eyes increasing.

"As blunt as ever. But what will happen?" Tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

"Don't worry I threatened them." Ava replied calmly waving a lazy hand in the air drawing shapes.

"ARE YOU INSANE. YOU THREATENED SOMEONE WHO WORKS FOR THE LAW." At this point I was screaming and this could be serious for Ava because her threats can be real when someone hurts someone she cares about.

"1. I am not insane. 2. I don't care I did it for both of us."

"What do yo....." I started to trail of realizing what she means.

If child services realized her dad verbally abused her and her mother didn't have a ton of money to support them she would get taken away. She would never see her mom again or her moms family. She would never see her dads family again either. Even though she doesn't get along with him she gets along with everyone else. She would leave her baby cousins. She would never see us again. This is why she was moody. Just thinking about it made me worry more. Not just for me, but for both of us.

"Yup." She said popping the p.

"What did you tell them?"

"I just told them that they should at least find a good guardian for you but they aren't allowed to leave the state with you and you dint have to change schools considering we are almost done."

"You can't just tell them to do something you aren't they're boss." I said pointing a finger.

"Let's just say Im persuasive." she said sending a glare my way.

"Okay now that's settled where I'm I going to stay?"

"You can't stay with me because then there would be consequences for me, but Cam offered. I'll go get them and the doctor." With that she closed the door behind her her brown curly hair flowing out behind her.

Little did I know that ever since that day everything would change again.
