Amber And Her Wolves 23 Chapter 23 Mother's Lost Letter

Its been three days since our encounter with the hunters. They are still camped outside the border. We think they are trying to find our weak points so that they can attack. Alec is being paranoid and so he's doubled patrols and training and making sure that I don't leave the house grounds without someone with me. Bradley came over today and I still wasn't talking to him. He still won't let me have my bow and arrows back. I tried bargaining with Alec but that didn't work either. I still have my daggers though. They would end up being hurt if they tried to take them as Daniel learned the hard way. He tried to take a dagger that I had on my bedside table which I grabbed and cut his hand with. It was an accident but it meant that they didn't try anything now. Bradley came over today to give me a letter that my parents gave him years ago. "Amber, your parents gave this to me the day you were born. They told me that if anything happened to them to give this to you as soon as you find out about Alpha Dominic. I hoped that I would never have to give this to you." He said and handed me a letter that had been sealed for over 17 years. A letter that my parents wrote to me. They properly knew that they would die. I took the letter and looked at it. Did I really want to open it? What would I find out? Would they tell me what I already know? Would they tell me something new? I sighed and went to my room. Well really Alec's room. Alec decided that I should stay in his room so he could protect me. I knew that in reality he just wanted to be close to me. I think it's sweet. And even though some people may find it uncomfortable to sleep with someone, it's actually really comfortable. And I feel so safe when he wraps his arm around me to pull me closer to him. I sat on the bed and kept looking at the letter. I felt the bed dip next to me and saw Alec. "We can open this together." He said. I nodded and I opened it. He put his leg on my thigh whilst I opened the letter and then read it over my shoulder.

'My dearest Amber,

If you are reading this, then I'm afraid that me and your father died before we could tell you about Alpha Dominic. I'm sure you already know about who and why Alpha Dominic wants you. I'm afraid that there is more to the story. I met your father when we were 14 and we feel in love. At 16 we had twin boys. Sadly we had to give them up because of their powers. You and your brothers are actually tribrid's. Your father is a hybrid of werewolf and hunter. He managed to keep it a secret but told me because I am his mate. You are a tribrid of witch wolf and hunter. We gave your brothers away to a witch couple who swore to protect them. I met Dominic after I gave the boys away and your father had left me. You know how Dominic killed someone and I left him. Your father found me and apologised. We moved away together using money from your father company to set up a house in the wolf pack. No one in the pack knows that he is a hybrid and we made sure that you would always be protected. I am so sorry that I have to leave you. Bradley will help you to track down your brothers. I read the letter three times trying to take it all in. I had two older brothers and I was also a wolf. I cried on Alec and didn't leave the room all day. I cried because I missed my parents. I wanted them back. I had one last connection to them, my brothers. I had to find them.
