Everything was dark. And it was cold.

And I was scared.

"Rosie..." the voice rang through the darkness, "come out, come out wherever you are."

I painted and his myself behind the building. Everything about this world screamed familiarity, yet something about the things around me were off. There were no people here, and the people chasing me were so familiar it hurt.

Maybe because they were me.

"Rosie~"

I m.u.f.fled my scream into my hand. Everything was falling apart in this world, and yet I almost wanted to embrace the impending doom that it meant if I was caught. My soul and body were ready to die, yet I was here, fighting for my life.

"I know you're over there, Rosie, come out and I won't hurt you~"

Fear gripped my soul and I wanted something I'd never thought I had before. I wanted Levi. I wanted the comfort that he had brought me before falling into this broken place. I stood up and prepared to run when I felt a set of arms wrap around me and hold me close.

"Caught ya, Rosie~"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The white of the place I was in seemed to blind me. Two forms stood next to me. One of them was kind of tall with silver hair and glowing silver eyes. On her back was a set of black, leathery looking wings. The other was around the same height with bright blue eyes and brown hair. On her back were bright white feathered wings.
"You're awake," one of them said and she moved closer, her blue eye filled with worry as she kissed my forehead.
"Who are you?" I asked and noted the weak tone of my voice. It had lost its musical like quality somehow in this strange place.
"That's not important now, Rosie, what matters is how we can get you safe," the other said, she moved closer and leaned her head towards mine and rested there.
"I'm not safe?" I asked, and both of the girls before me moved back and linked hands.
"No, sweetie, you're not. Not with him," the angelic one asked, her hand reaching for me and grazing my cheek before falling to her side.
"Who's he?"
"The man who tucked me away, Rosie," the demon-like one said, looking over at the other.
"Father?"
Both of the females nodded and stood back.
"What are your names?" I asked, looking between the two.
"We're both ancient and strong. We're parts of you, Rosie. We watched you grow up. I was chosen for you by your mother a long time ago. My name is Lilith," the darker one said, smiling and looking at the other one.
"We are and we're here to protect you and help you grow, sweetie. We both know how strong you could become if you choose to embrace both of us. My name is Evangeline," she said, smiling at me.
"What do you mean embrace both of you?"
"What she means is that you've always had one of us pushed closer to the surface than the other, yet if you embrace both of us, you can become what you had once," Lilith said, both of them starting to move back towards me.
"What had I become before?"
A vision pa.s.sed before me and both of them were there next to me. I saw myself with a group of people I couldn't really recognize, yet I could name them. Angel. Week. Levi. William. Kai. I wasn't moving and I could see the light fading inside me. Then I saw it. The glow was back.
My body had brown hair with silver highlights throughout it. My eyes were bright blue with silver spread through them. On my back were wings, they were black feathered wings that seemed to be a blend of both Lilith and Evangeline.
I felt the blast of power before I saw it, I watched myself fade away, yet I could feel I wasn't dead, I was very alive.
How was this even possible?
"Strange, isn't, sweetie? That was the first time that Lilith and I had merged together and both helped protect you. You didn't push either of us away then. You wanted us both." Evangeline came before me and I felt the warmth rush over me.
"Then your father pushed me under the surface and locked me away, Rosie. You were searching for me, yet you couldn't find me. I popped out a few times once you searched for me, but your fear pushed me down," Lilith said, her hand held out for me.
"He pushed me up and wanted me to make you just an angel and not the angel-demon hybrid he had created. He just wanted you to be his heiress after Angel disappeared, now it's your time," Evangeline replied, holding her hand out as well.
"Rosie, it's your turn to choose. Which do you want to be?" The both chanted in unison, watching me carefully and both hoping I would choose them. I reached out my hands and wrapped them tightly around both, gaining twin looks of surprise from them.
"I don't want to hide anymore. I want to be both, and that means I want to be fully me." Both of them smiled at me and I felt like for once, I was choosing what I wanted and no one was telling me who I was and who I had to be.
For once, I felt free.
"Here's the plan, Rosie. We need to get your memories back. If we could, you would remember everything, yet something still holds them down. We need to find out what's sealing them," Lilith said, her gaze glazing over in thought.
"Her memories of one of those boys came back when she was around him," Evangeline said, turning towards me.
"Levi was comforting me...."
"That's it!" They both shouted, running towards me.
"What's it?" I asked, noting my voice had now gotten stronger and the musical quality had come back.
"You have memories of people and feelings a.s.sociated with them, once they bring out the emotion," Evangeline started, and I started to collect the dots in my head.
"Then my memories of them are released," I said, feeling smart as both of them nodded at me.
"So all we need you to do is find memories that a.s.sociate certain people in your memory. I think the people from the last part are significant if one of them came back already," Lilith said and she smiled at me, and she started to fade from my vision.
"No," I cried, reaching for them both and they sadly smiled at me.
"We can't hold you here with us forever, sweetie. We have to let you go back now," Evangeline said, her hand cupping my cheek. Lilith did the same to my other one and they each planted a kiss on my forehead. I felt a rush of energy flow through me as both of them faded away from me.
"Stay safe, Rose."
