MY KIND OF LOVE 16 Mother And Daughter

"Aunt Miray!!!!" A little voice called out as Miray stepped down from the car. Little Daphne had been in the garden watering the flowers when she saw Miray. The little girl was so excited for they had not seen each other for a while. She ran out to Miray and gave her a big welcoming hug. They both seemed happy to see each other. 

"Aunt Miray, I changed rooms, come with me to my new room.." Little Daphne quickly grabbed Miray's hand pulling her towards the house.

"Daphne, honey, why don't we eat first then you can show your aunt, your room and all the new stuff I bought you." Joe's voice came from behind and that was when little Daphne noticed that her father had come along.

"Ooh okay," responded the disappointed little child.

Miray bent forward to little Daphne's side and whispered "if you promise to eat your vegetables, I will take you out for ice cream at the park."

"Yeay!!" Rejoiced little Daphne she grabbed Miray's hand leading her to the house.

The three looked like a family as they had lunch together. Little Daphne sat next to Miray and she could not wait to finish her meal just so they could leave for the park.  Miray really loved spending time with little Daphne. When she was a child, she had always wanted a little sister but had brothers instead. The only one close to her like a sister had been Hazel, her best friend. 

After finis.h.i.+ng her meal little Daphne jumped out from her seat and pointed at her plate to remind Miray of her promise.

"Joe, we wanted to go to the park for ice cream, can we?" Miray smiled to Joe

"What about work." Replied Joe as he took out his cigarette. Miray remembered that she had a lot of work to do but she wanted to spend time with little Daphne instead.

"Daddy no smoking in the house!" exclaimed little Daphne pointing at the cigarette in on her father's hand .

" I think we will have a problem when you grow up,... you can leave for the park now.." Joe put the hand holding the cigarette behind his back to hide it from his daughter.

Miray saw what Joe had done and laughed, "haha okay we will go now,... let me just send a message my little sweetheart.." She patted little Daphne's head while typing a message to Nene.

"Okay princess we can go now!" The two girls held each others hands as they left the house.

The park was close to where Joe's house had been. Fred and Trey were following them from a distance with Joe's command. Miray and little Daphne got some ice cream and later started to play around the park. Unknown to them a  photographer  of one local news outlet had seen them. Without hesitating he took photos to the two playing around. He was so excited, for that would be one of the hot topics since Miray Yethu just recently came to the public and people were curious to know about her private life. Fred and Trey were busy playing cards because looking out for the two girls had been boring for them, so they were not able to see the photographer who was taking photos.

Miray and little Daphne played all afternoon. They got their face painted, bought matching teddy bears and did different types of activities together. It was getting late so Miray decided they turn back home.

"Aunt Miray, will you spend the night at home with me today?" Little Daphne's eyes lit up as she asked the question. Miray did not want to disappoint the child so she nodded and little Daphne gave her a tight hug. Miray's heart flattered, 'innocent love from a child is so beautiful', she looked at little Daphne and wondered how her child would be like. They went home together but Joe was not around so the two had dinner together while they talked about what they had done that day. After dinner, little Daphne took Miray to her room and showed her all the new things the father had bought for her. She later brought out her favorite story book for her aunt to read to her. Miray did not know how to read children book's but she decided to try. They were on little Daphne's bed reading the book together and the story had seemed to be quite interesting.

Joe came back late at night. He went to little Daphne's room and saw the two of them sleeping with a book in their hands. Joe laughed silently as he took a photo of his girls. The two still had face paint on and they looked really adorable, like a mother and daughter.

The next morning Miray woke up 8am, she looked around and later realised where she was. Little Daphne was still sleeping close to her so she got out of bed slowly and wrote a small note to little Daphne, telling her that she had to leave early. Miray went to her house to get ready for work when suddenly Old Yethu called her.

"h.e.l.lo papa..."  Miray was surprised to receive a call from her father in the morning.

"Have you seen the news?!" Old Yethu shouted.

"What news papa?" Miray twisted expression on her face.

"They are saying you are secretly married with a child!!"
