Chapter 228: Repelling Count Dracula
Everyone was stunned.
All of the disciples of the clan knew just how powerful their leader was just by looking at how he managed to kill a vampire with Invincible Vajra Level powers with a single thrust.
Jingyunzi’s powers had been tempered for a very, very long time at the Invincible Vajra Level, after all.
It was just like Count Dracula said, if the world were to see yet another change, Jingyunzi would have most definitely made a breakthrough into the Celestial Realm right away.
Yet, such a being remained utterly helpless in front of the Count.
The power difference was to such extent that Jingyunzi simply stood no chance against the Count.
He was easily and severely injured with just a single attack from the Count.
It was simply too terrifying.
The Count was more than capable of killing Jingyunzi without breaking a sweat.
The power difference between Celestial Realm and Invincible Vajra was simply too great. Even though Jingyunzi’s power was considered to be at the very top even among fellow Invincible Vajras, and he was only a step away from breaking into Celestial Realm, he was inferior to the Count in terms of combat capacity.
Everyone shared one same thought after seeing what happened.
All beneath Celestial Realm are little more than bugs.
A cultivator was beneath mentioning until they made it to Celestial Realm.
“Master!”
“Master, are you alright?”
Many of the disciples of the clan went up to him out of concern.
The cultivators of the clan were almost wiped out in that battle about a century ago. All of the senior members at the time perished, and few among Jingyunzi’s generation managed to make it back alive.
A great majority of the clan at the moment consisted of members of later generations that were technically Jingyunzi’s disciples. There were few who came from the line of other masters in the clan.
All of them went up to Jingyunzi, concerned for his wellbeing after seeing him be dealt such a crus.h.i.+ng blow.
“Prep the True Force Seven-sectioned Formation and stop him!” Jingyunzi shouted, and everyone from the clan began to get into position.
It was a technique invented by the founding master of the WuTang Clan, Zhang Sanfeng, many years ago. Once the formation was put into place, the powers of the casters of the formation would be greatly boosted.
It was a formation that required at least seven to put up, and greater numbers would derive a greater boost in powers.
The huge True Force Seven-sectioned Formation was put in place before long. One could have easily seen the formation to actually be an incredibly huge Taiji Diagram if one were to look at it from above.
“The True Force Seven-sectioned Formation, eh?” The Count’s eyes were incredibly cold. There was no doubt that he knew of the formation, as it was precisely the formation that held him back for quite a while back in the day.
He was only truly stopped after Chongxuzi came while he was held back by the formation. Both parties fought a great battle afterward. While he succeeded in killing Chongxuzi, he was, in return, severely injured by Chongxuzi. The injury was so fundamental that he had to retreat.
Both sides lost in that battle.
“You think such a formation would be able to stop me? You people had Chongxuzi back in the day, and now I’ll see what you people will bring to the table to stop me.”
The Count was furious, as the formation reminded him of the suffering he had to endure for the past century.
He came right above the formation in an instant.
Boom!
A huge rumble was heard all over the place. Boundless sword aura clashed with the huge blood-colored energy in the air, lighting up the night sky.
Pfftt. Pfftt. Pfftt.
The disciples who formed the True Force Seven-sectioned Formation spitted blood from their mouths, as they were severely injured by the Count’s attack.
It was a terrifying being that they had never seen before. They never saw anyone capable of bringing about such an impact on their True Force Seven-sectioned Formation single-handedly.
Many of weaker training and had yet to reach Baodan Grandmaster Level in the formation were killed on the spot, their internal organs turned to mush.
Almost everyone who formed the formation was injured. Many Invincible Vajra Level fighters spat blood from their mouths as well.
They all were utterly defenseless before an ancient vampire like Count Dracula.
They looked so pathetically weak.
“The formation is the same formation from back in the day, but you all are far beneath those who manned the formation back then.”
The Count smirked.
“I wonder just how many attacks you all can endure!”
The Count brought about yet another attack before long, extending his hand, turning it into a b.l.o.o.d.y claw. He banged on the formation.
Boom!
The True Force Seven-sectioned Formation was blasted apart right there and then. Countless disciples of the clan spat up blood, and that time, not even the likes of Martial Arts Legends were capable of withstanding the attack. They were killed instantly.
The size of the formation shrunk yet again.
Almost all who were below National Guardian Level perished.
It was a huge loss to the WuTang Clan.
The Count then let out an eerie shriek.
He was getting ready to launch yet another attack.
However, a bolt of frightening sword aura rained from the sky, blitzing through the air and sweeping about the night sky in an instant.
The Count sensed the immense threat looming over him in an instant. He backed away almost out of instinct.
Boom, boom, boom!
While he was able to evade in time, the vampires behind him were not as quick with their reflexes. All of them were quickly hit by the sword aura and reduced to a b.l.o.o.d.y mist that rained down on the ground below.
All of them were destroyed by that one attack, which was so frighteningly formidable not even a single chunk of flesh was left. The regenerative powers that the vampires were so proud of were utterly useless before that sword aura attack.
The Count just barely managed to evade that frightening attack and had no time to spare for aching over the loss of his underlings. He then locked his gaze on the deeper reaches of the clan’s estate.
A terrifyingly huge blade came from the main hall of the clan. It headed straight for the Count.
It was the sword that brought about that terrifying blast of sword aura before, and that sword was of a staggering length, exceeding 300 meters in length.
“The True Force Sword?” The Count was familiar with that sword as well.
It was the very technique that had dealt such a crus.h.i.+ng defeat back in the day.
He then went on to find ways to know more about the attack. It was said that the True Force Sword was a blade that Zhang Sanfeng, the founding master of the WuTang Clan, forged all those years ago.
It was a sword that was treated as the greatest treasure of the clan for ages.
The clan had been able to get rid of countless threats throughout their existence by using that sword alone.
Back in that battle, it was that very sword that Chongxuzi had dealt such a crus.h.i.+ng blow.
The wound from that attack still pained him somewhat, even in the present day.
Common mystical blades did not have such powers, and it would have been impossible for such attacks to make him fall into a deep sleep for nearly a century.
If it had not been for the True Force Sword, Chongxuzi, as he was back then, would not have had been able to match the Count, who was at his prime, blow for blow.
The fight would have only been evenly matched if it was Zhang Sanfeng, who was fighting the Count instead.
Jingyunzi, who was beneath the sword, chanted ancient mantras as he activated the True Force Sword while holding in the immense pain from his injury.
Boundless spirit qi around gushed in the sword’s direction, coalescing into sword aura whose intensity kept climbing.
Another attack could come at any given moment.
The Count shot a deadly gaze at Jingyunzi and said, “Hmph. It seems like you’re lucky this time, but you won’t have many days to live after that attack of mine. It’ll only be a matter of time before the WuTang Clan perishes.”
The Count then transformed into a huge bat after saying that, and he disappeared into the dark of night without a trace mere moments later.
