“Is that why you stayed with her, got her pregnant, and left her there by herself?” Hu Ruixue took the opportunity to move away from him. She stared at Ji Fansheng.

Hu Ruixue smiled at him and lifted her hands to show him the ropes that tied her. “How am I going to be with you like this?”

“You promised me?” Ji Fansheng started intensely at Hu Ruixue and saw the slight smile on her. Her eyes were as pure as they were 10 years ago. He untied her without any hesitation.

Hu Ruixue rubbed her wrists and said, “Let me go take a shower.”

“No need. You are always the cleanest in my mind.” Ji Fansheng held her back.

“But I don’t want myself to be unclean. Can you not at least wait the amount of time that will take me to bathe?”

Ji Fansheng chuckled all of a sudden. “Don’t try to stall. You are not getting away.”

Hu Ruixue lowered her head. She couldn’t maintain that look on herself for much longer. She pinched her voice and said, “I am not trying to run. I really just want to take a bath.” She wanted to push Ji Fansheng away but suddenly noticed herself feeling weak.
