Sam felt like this day is going very slowly.

Maybe the day before has been too productive, now waiting around and taking this one step at a time is not really making him feel comfortable. He tried to get all the information about the marked targets real-time and soon he finally managed to pick one that is suitable for the next step of his plan.

This guy is in charge of searching for Sam in restaurants, inns, and other similar establishments.

Currently, that guy is in the middle of a bar giving instructions to his subordinates. Sam thought for a moment and went to the bar.

After the target gave all the instructions that he needed to give, he came out and started drinking at the bar counter.

Sam went and sat beside him.

He took a sip of the wine and spat it out.

“s.h.i.+t. What kind of wine is this? This is way too bad.”

He looked at the bartender furiously. Of course, the bartender didn’t like that statement. He looked at Sam coldly and said.

“if you don’t like the wine then get the f.u.c.k out. This is the best wine in the city, even the members from the Magman clan come here and drink. Are you saying that you have a better taste than them?”

Sam frowned and took out a jar of wine before slamming it on the table. He opened the jar and let the aroma spread all over the bar.

Everyone was stunned for a moment as they were taken in by that great aroma.

“I am used to drinking wine like this. Of course, yours taste like p.i.s.s to me.”

As he said, he poured the wine in a gla.s.s and slid it to the bartender. Then he poured another gla.s.s of it and then moved it to the target beside him

“Sir, you look like a man of refined taste. Why don’t you taste my wine and his and tell me which one is better.”

Hearing Sam’s words, the target finally came out of the daze. He is the closest to wine jar. So, he got affected by the aroma the most. He reached out the gla.s.s in that dazed state and took a sip.

He closed his eyes and enjoyed that feeling.

The wine is indeed many times better than the wine sold in the bar. Even the bar tender has to agree to that point. He looked at Sam and asked.

“Where did you get this wine?”

“Get it? I made it. You see I am a brewer. I like making different liquors and exploring various tastes. I came here when I heard rumors that Magman clan has great taste in wines and the city might have some really great spirits.

But the rumors are wrong after all. I should have known.”

Sam stood up and turned to leave. Everyone could see that his face is full of disappointment.

The bartender immediately hopped off of the counter to stop Sam from leaving.

“Sir. Please stay for a moment. The rumors are indeed true. The magman clan and the whole territory are indeed lovers of great liquor. But the problem is that we don’t have great vegetation and resources to brew great wine.

You must have already noticed that from my surroundings.”

Sam seemed to have remembered something and said.

“Yes indeed. I was wondering how the city could have great wine if there is nothing in the forests and surroundings. That is how it is. If we take that into consideration then your wine should be considered not bad.”

Sam muttered as if he was thinking something.

The bartender is trying to think of ways to make Sam sell the secrets of his wine. The reason is pretty simple before the Magman clan was established, the head of the Magman clan used to be a brute. He was mercenary, a sellsword, and did all kinds of dirty deeds.

He is a fanatic about drinking and he drinks a s.h.i.+t ton.

This information is kind of open to everyone but it was never considered a significant piece of info. Except the bartenders and merchants didn’t think so.

Anyone who wants to curry favor with this former brute will use this method. Of course, the favor couldn’t be too much. If the limit is to have better favorability as a business establishment then it is fine.

This bartender is essentially trying to improve his business.

When they entered the booth, the target spoke.

From what I can see, you have a great treasure in your hands. I think we can reach some sort of collaboration here.”

“Collaboration? What kind?”

“I have many connections in this city. And I and this bartender are good friends. Three of us can collaborate together and set up a bar. You can supply us with recipes and the cultivation method. The bartender will be in charge of brewing and sales meanwhile I will take care of cultivating the required resources.

We will split the profit in three ways. All three of us can benefit from this.”

“But, I am not really looking to settle down at the moment. I am a wanderer. I go around the world to explore different liquors. I don’t want to tie myself down.”

“Of course, I am sure you have a lot to explore. You can treat this place as a second home. Magman clan has a lot of influence and you might have already known about the clan head’s obsession with different races.

I can get you a spot on his exploration team. You would be able to move around.”

“And all of this for what?”

Sam asked skeptically.

“I want your most extraordinary that you will not be willing to sell no matter what. And I want it a jar per month.”

“Most extraordinary wine?”

“I am sure you have a wine like that. I would like it if you can give me a jar every month.”

Sam started thinking, but inside he is actually smiling. The plan is going smoothly. This is not really a big deal.

This is just to establish a direct connection with Baryn. A channel that will be least suspicious. And he is going to use this channel to stir the pot.
