A sound not much different from a drum spread out from Hao Xuan's body. He was sitting there with his eyes closed, concentrating on controlling the entire process.

The strands of water surrounding him were much more viscous than normal and were a dark red color. They seemed to appear out of nowhere and entered his body after revolving around a few times.

Another shockwave spread out. This one seemed shorter than the first one. The red strands caressed his skin gently and then attached themselves to it. If one was to zoom in several hundred times, they would see the blood particles defusing through the skin cells and entering his body.

The interval between each shockwave reduced considerably until they were produced non-stop.

Right now he was surrounded by a sphere of thick liquid that separated him from the rest of the water. As the blood particles entered his body, they could be seen moving around the veins with the naked eye. His skin flashed with a semi-transparent coating every now and then.

He suddenly opened his eyes and threw up a mouthful of blood, "Almost.....there..." he thought.

The temperature in the liquid sphere starting rising and small bubbles came off his body and were pushed out from the sphere by an unknown force.

Unfortunately now, only the most difficult to reach places were left. These were the ones in his very veins and some of the more important organs like the heart and the brain. To get them out completely he had to spend days upon days to carefully push them out with the help of his Force Qi.

But hasty as Hao Xuan was, he found another 'method'. The 'Immortal Devouring Demon Physique' allowed him to be extremely daring this sensitive process.

So instead of spending so much time pus.h.i.+ng every impurity out one by one, he decided to use the Sundering Qi to simply cut open the cells of his very organs and forcefully 'throw-out' the impurities embedded within.

By using the copious amounts of spiritual energy from the surrounding water and the pure beast blood, he healed himself as soon as the injuries were made. But this process was also extremely painful.

It felt like something was burning his insides non-stop. Both injuring AND healing brought immeasurable pain upon his sense. He had pa.s.sed out several times during the process as well.

Thankfully his cultivation level allowed him to stay underwater for up to Forty minutes without having to come up for air.

The hours trickled by like the rainwater above. Before he realized it had already been three days. His spirit band was lighting up continuously with hundreds of messages and calls from a number of people, Xu Qing and First being at the top.

Black swam around the huge lake without a care in the world, while White stayed by Hao Xuan's side every single minute of every day. Both of their injuries had healed up since they weren't anything serious to begin with.

They hadn't stayed idle either and had grown by more than 30 feet, reaching almost a hundred now.

It was said that somewhere out there is a G.o.dly serpent whose scales are big enough to shoulder entire planets and swallow entire galaxies like it was nothing. It was called the world serpent but no one had actually seen it.

Every serpent was said to have the potential to reach such a size at one point or another. Many believed this to be true since the serpents had some of the longest lifespans in the known universe and could easily live long enough to surpa.s.s even the oldest existence.

*Crack*

Hao Xuan who was sitting in the sphere of the thick liquid abruptly opened his eyes. His pupils shrunk and a small crack appeared in the middle of his chest. He looked down and couldn't help but change his expression.

The flesh separated as a finger came out of his chest. It was completely black in color and its texture looked similar to that of coal, looking very brittle. But Hao Xuan could feel the vast amount of power in this tiny little finger and knew that he would have to use everything in his a.r.s.enal to destroy it, let alone the being that it was attached to.

"Now! Do it quick!" he shouted towards White with gritted teeth and held out his chest.

White suddenly turned his ma.s.sive head around and opened his mouth. A stream of concentrated black fire shot forward like a laser and hit the crack, pus.h.i.+ng the finger back into Hao Xuan's body.

The crack slowly closed up and disappeared like it was never there.

There was not even a single scar left where the crack had opened up. If he wasn't the one it happened to, Hao Xuan would have trouble believing what he saw was real and not a strange illusion.

"That was close. It almost broke out," he thought while ma.s.saging the crack area.. It didn't hurt at all but he still felt better after doing it.
