Chapter 395: The Small Pond
Lin Xiao looked at the back of Fan Pan for a moment before moving his gaze away. If it was before, he would not understand Fan Pan's decision. But after coming into contact with powerful experts who came from outside the four familiar kingdoms, he understood the reason.
This place was limiting.
For geniuses like them who had the chance to enter higher stage than just Golden Core Stage 3, their dream would not be in this small place but outside. They would want to go outside and venture deep into the world.
"Father, he's…." Fan Pan's father wanted to complain.
"It's enough." Old Master Fan waved his hand. "You can't control him and he has his own decision."
"But…"
"Even if you force him, he would not agree to return back."
Old Master Fan then turned to look at Fan Ling. "Ling'er, you're the future successor of Fan Family now. It'll soon be 3 years' mark of your coming to Sun Dragon Academy. After partic.i.p.ating in their battle ranking, I would like you to return back here to learn about some other things."
Fan Ling smiled brightly. "Alright, Grandpa! Don't worry!"
Cultivators didn't only consist of battle maniacs who only knew how to fight and battle. There were many other side jobs and even there were those who took up positions in order to pa.s.s down their skills. After all, they all still have limited lifespan.
Even though they all wished that they could attain immortality, Golden Core Stage Cultivators still have limited lifespan.
Old Master Fan nodded then looked at Lin Xiao. "Your Highness, do you mind this arrangement?"
"You can do as you wish." Lin Xiao had no qualms with Fan Ling having to spend more time with her family since he had no interest restricting her actions. Though, Old Master Fan's action of asking Fan Ling first before him showed that the Old Master still didn't hold him in much regard.
Well, it would soon change.
"Grandpa, Your Highness has a request!" Fan Ling quickly added.
"Your Highness, is there anything I can do to help you?" Old Master Fan quickly asked.
"Is there any pond here?"
"Pond?"
While the others were perplexed, Princess Lan Yi Hua pa.s.sed a knowing glance at Lin Xiao. She knew very well that he was planning on using the formation like what he did back at the mountain. The others thought that he only coincidentally found the lake but it was actually a formation made with Dragon Language.
Now that he planned on making the lake here, wouldn't it mean that he was increasing his followers' ability?
That was not a bad idea.
"There's a pond at the back." Fan Ling grinned. "It's mostly unused. If you want it, I can take you there."
"Ling'er." Old Master Fan was helpless at his granddaughter. But looking at her expression, he knew that he would only restrict her movements if he didn't allow her to do it. Besides, he was also curious about what Lin Xiao wanted to do.
Lin Xiao pa.s.sed a glance at Lu Jian. "I'll hand over it to you later."
Hearing that, Lu Jian merely let out a wry smile but he nodded. He understood what Lin Xiao wanted to do.
Old Master Fan dismissed the younger generations and only some elders followed Lin Xiao to the back. The back courtyard was tended well but there was barely anyone there, creating a sense of desolation.
The pond was located in the middle and the water was not entirely clean. There was some mud that was mixed inside.
"Eh, the pond is not usually this dirty." Fan Ling scratched the back of her head, feeling confused.
"What do you plan to do?" Lin Yun was also curious. He knew that Lin Xiao was the one who made the lake had a lot of resources before, but he didn't know how Lin Xiao do that.
After all, he came after they were done.
"I have the opportunity to stumble upon a formation." Lin Xiao crouched near the small pond. Even though the water was still dirty, he didn't mind in the slightest bit. It couldn't be called lake yet, but Lin Xiao was still able to use the dragon language to set it up to be Qi filled lake.
His hand moved and created word with his Qi before he put it on top of the water. There was a faint smile on the corner of his lips as the Qi in the air began to move and entered the lake. The previously muddy water turned clear.
It was a miraculous sight as the change was so sudden.
"From now on, Lu Jian will be the one to a.s.sign task to you to do. Whenever you get something done, the reward you can get is to practice here. I'm sure that most of you are still at Foundation Establishment, so you lack resources the most, right? With this lake, breaking through to Golden Core Stage wouldn't take that much time."
Breaking through to Golden Core Stage would not take that much time?
The people there were speechless when they heard what Lin Xiao said. Looking at the lake filled with Qi, they all truly wondered whether Lin Xiao had somehow stumbled across some kind of ancient formation that would allow him to gather Qi.
The speed in which he set up his formation was too fast for it to be normal formation.
However, being an experienced cultivator, Old Master Fan knew very well that it was a genuine Qi Gathering Formation. His keen senses told him that the dense aura of the Qi was gathered in the lake.
This is…
Lu Jian was also stumped but knowing that they had once experienced this, he pushed down all questions and grinned. "Of course, Your Highness. Leave it to me!"
"This is Fan Family but you're the one who's handling this?" Fan Ling glared at Lu Jian.
"If it's left to you, do you really think that you can do it?" Lu Jian pa.s.sed a glance at Fan Ling as if challenging her.
