"How are we going back if you don't send us?" Xu Ju asked angrily.

"There's public transport outside! Do you need me to teach you how to use it?" Xia Jun said sternly.

Xu Ju did not want to have any direct conflict with Xia Jun. She still needed to rely on Xia Jun with regard to the Xu family's matters in the future. She could not provoke this "living ancestor" of the Xia family.

After Xu Ju left, Xia Jun looked at Qiao Mei and asked gently, "How is life in the military family compound recently? Is there anything you're not used to? I hear that Xia Zhe has gone on a mission. Don't go back there for the time being. It'll be good if you can stay here with me."

"That's what I plan to do too. I've also brought the two children with me. School is about to start and I'm getting ready to go to school!" Qiao Mei said.

After packing their things, Xia Jun and Auntie Peanut sat in the backseat of Qiao Mei's car. This was the first time Xia Jun sat in Qiao Mei's car and he could not help but feel a little nervous.

"Mei Mei, drive slowly. I have the tendency to get carsick," Xia Jun said. Auntie Peanut smiled but did not say anything.
