He had been standing guard in this place for ten years, which was not a long time. He hoped that this time would last even longer. The more he stayed here, the more time the Tianyuan Megaverse had to prepare.

However, things did not go as planned. The stone gate started to tremble, and Lu Yuan opened his eyes to stare at the gate.

A figure emerged from the crack that ran down the middle of the gate. After a moment, a person was revealed. They were Tian Ci.

Lu Yuan’s heart sank. The Spirit Nidus had finally arrived.

"It’s only you? Pity. But with you, the blood of an Ortuser will open this gate. This will mark the first step of my Spirit Nidus’s entry into this Tianyuan Megaverse." Suddenly, Tian Ci attacked. His sword thrust out at Lu Yuan. The blade was only three feet long, but within three feet of that blade, distance did not matter.

Lu Yuan was well informed of Tian Ci’s abilities, and he was confident that he could fight the man. However, this was not the time to fight. Lu Yuan needed to inform the Heavens Sect that the Spirit Nidus’s invasion had arrived.

Suddenly, Lu Yuan’s expression changed. He felt an indescribable sense of danger descend. Green sword qi flashed through the crack in the stone gate; an attack had been launched at Lu Yuan that was even faster than Tian Ci.

Lu Yuan instantly dodged, and above him, his Invest.i.ture of the G.o.ds appeared, its golden light illuminating the boundary of the megaverse.

Far away, someone’s eyes opened. "Not good! The Spirit Nidus is here."

Lu Yuan was not the only one standing guard at the Tianyuan Megaverse’s boundary. While the Ortuser was the visible guardian, Lu Yin had also stationed other experts nearby. All of them were ready to instantly support Lu Yuan. Unfortunately, due to the threats posed by the Nests and True G.o.d, many of the Heavens Sect’s most powerful experts had been needed elsewhere. The Three Realms and Six Daos, as well as the Three Suns and Six Rulers, were too busy to stand guard. Because of that, Lu Yin had a.s.signed a regular Progenitor to stand guard. If Lu Yuan started fighting, that Progenitor was to immediately report back to the Heavens Sect.

The golden light of the Invest.i.ture of the G.o.ds was practically the symbol of the Lu family.

The moment the golden light spread across the universe, the secondary guard knew that Lu Yuan had started fighting. The Spirit Nidus had arrived.

In front of the stone gate, Lu Yuan’s Invest.i.ture of the G.o.ds slammed into Tian Ci. He raised his hand and threw a terrifyingly powerful palm strike at the stone gate.

The green sword qi was overpowered by the Invest.i.ture of the G.o.ds, and the palm strike slammed into the stone gate with a thunderous bang.

As the green sword qi approached, the man’s Champions' Stage appeared in front of him. He pushed the stage forward, his palm strikes falling upon the stage with thunderous force that produced deafening echoes.

The green sword qi slammed into the Champions' Stage. There was a loud bang, and to Lu Yuan’s utter shock, the sword qi sliced through the stage and onto his shoulder before pa.s.sing right through his body. His blood splattered into outer s.p.a.ce.

Lu Yuan had lived for many, many years, and during that time, he had used his Champions' Stage to establish the foundation of the Lu family’s legendary reputation. He had never imagined that his stage would be cut through.

This woman’s sword qi was horrifyingly powerful.

Far away, the woman was equally impressed. “To survive my Bifrost Unscathed Sword, you are qualified to fight against me. My name is Yao, and I am the master of the Bifrost Palace of the Ascendant Hall, first beneath the High Seraph.”

Even as the woman spoke, another green droplet formed and transformed into a slash of sword qi that attacked Lu Yuan.

Suddenly, the woman’s expression changed drastically. An invisible attack approached her from behind, and she was forced to redirect her green sword qi to intercept it.

It was a Hidden Needle. Lu Yuan had hidden the attack with the golden light of his Invest.i.ture of the G.o.ds. The attack had been hiding in the void, waiting for such an opening.

As the Hidden Needle stabbed into the woman, Lu Yuan struck from the distance. A powerful palm strike shot through the void to land on the woman’s back. She staggered back, blood dripping from the corner of her mouth.

Lu Yuan seized the opportunity and instantly fled.

At that moment, an old man appeared behind Lu Yuan. The elderly man had a round face and was dressed like a merchant. He was even holding a golden pen, and he smiled as he observed Lu Yuan.

“So, you must be Lu Yuan, the ancestor of the Origin Universe’s Lu family, which is in this Tianyuan Megaverse, right? Are you one of the Three Realms and Six Daos?”

Several more people appeared around Lu Yuan. The stone gate slowly opened, releasing a completely foreign energy. It did not belong to this megaverse, and it felt very strange to Lu Yuan.

He stared at the stone gate. On the other side, he could see a ma.s.sive vessel. It looked like a battles.h.i.+p, and it was filled with the Spirit Nidus cultivators. Just one glance was enough to tell Lu Yuan that there were no fewer than 100 peak powerhouses aboard.

Lu Yuan glanced around before focusing on the old man. "Who are you?"

The elder gave a slight smile. "There’s no need for any questions. Your blood will paint the stone gate."

As the old man spoke, he moved forward. His golden pen waved, releasing an overwhelming pressure.

Lu Yuan's expression changed. This old man was stronger than him, and not by a little at that. This was not some Ortuser, but clearly someone who was overcoming Dukkha.

Behind the old man, the green sword qi also reappeared.

Tian Ci closed in from another direction.

Three top experts were closing in on Lu Yuan from three different directions. It was impossible for him to escape.

Lu Yin stared at the round-faced old man. "Are you a Seraph, or the High Seraph?"
