“And who might you be?” the man sneered. “I’d watch my words if I were you. You might die here today, and you wouldn’t even know what hit you.”

Even so, the man remained vigilant. He had witnessed Yao Tang’s strength before, so he was naturally wary.

That only applied to Yao Tang, though. He couldn’t care less about the rest of the brats in the room.

Meng Yang flew into a rage. “Who am I? You’re asking who I am? How dare you!” He leaped from the table and strode toward the man.

He was almost 1.8 meters tall and was powerfully built for his age. This, coupled with his formidable aura, made Meng Yang rather intimidating.

The man faltered and almost stepped back, but he quickly snapped back to his senses. He flushed with embarra.s.sment.

He shouldn’t be wasting his time squabbling with a kid. His only purpose was to bring Yao Tangto Young Master Lu as soon as possible. He glared atMeng Yang. “Just wait. I’ll deal with you once I’m done with her!”

Then he turned to Yao Tangand gritted his teeth before saying, “Miss Yao, please!”

Yao Tang was leaning against her seat and casually browsing something on her phone.

“I’m busy,” she said nonchalantly.

The man grew frantic. “Miss, you still remember my young master, don’t you? You’re well aware of his temper. If you keep him waiting like this, it won’t end well for any of us.”

“Ah, you mean that freak, Lu Qing?”Yao Tangfinally put her phone down and smirked at the man, who winced at her words.

“Please don’t say that, Miss Yao.”

“Why? Did I say anything wrong?”

“Please, Miss Yao. Save us all some trouble and come with me to see Young Master Lu.”

Meng Yang chose that moment to step up and get in the man’s face. “Sister Tangis not coming with you. Can’t you see that she doesn’t want to? Why don’t you just get lost? Run back to your master before I beat you up!”

His fists were already clenched so tightly that the veins on his arms were bulging. He was all geared up to land a blow.

Feeling humiliated, the man reached out and was about to grab the insolent boy and throw him across the room.

To his shock, the boy actually dodged his hand.

The man snarled and pointed a finger at Meng Yang. “Stay out of this, or you’ll get more than you bargained for!”

Then a cold, female voice came from behind the man.
