The dagger dug deeper into the man’s skin. The metallic scent wafted around them, as blood slowly trickled down his nicked skin. He s.h.i.+vered.

No! He couldn’t die today, he couldn’t!

He had been watching Yao Tang’s fight the entire time, observing her every move. His eyes had never left her, and he was clearly too far away for her to chase after him.
