Mikaela returned Conri Lycaon to the house of the Great Elder after he awoke and then vanished somewhere. Mayonaka Yoru was waiting for him to return after his lover had gone to bed with his younger brother. He was pa.s.sing the time outside the house by smoking a cigarette. Mayonaka Yoru wasn't surprised when Conri Lycaon appeared out of nowhere in front of her house.

Mayonaka Yoru said, "You're back." Observing any traces of wounds or scent of blood on him, and finding none made this elder brother relieved.

"You are worrying too much, Brother." Conri Lycaon said.

"How did your memories return?" asked Mayonaka Yoru.

Silence descended in the area as Conri Lycaon did not respond immediately and reflected on how he had recalled his memories. Finally, he simply answered his elder brother honestly and told him what had happened.

Conri Lycaon said, "Actually, I didn't know what happened. That thing possessing the body of A'Lian at that time was too powerful. I just wanted to keep his body unharmed but also wanted to kill the one inside his body. That being was too powerful for me that even if I use my beast form he can defeat me so easily. Just when I thought I was going to die, the memories which I should have forgotten flashed in my mind. Before I knew it all my memories had returned and also awakened our bloodline as a Snow Wolf."

"That means your bloodline was triggered by being on the brink of death. Your abilities wanted to prevent you from dying and thus awakened on its own. I heard history about it in our family who would have thought it would happen to you." Mayonaka Yoru pressed his cigarette on the stone to kill the fire.

Then he suddenly asked his younger brother, "Don't you hate me? I mean... I left you behind with the King. You grew up thinking you are an orphan and I failed you as your older brother. Yue, you should hate me."

It was only when Mayonaka Yoru heard these words that he believed his brother understood his situation and for him to accept so easily meant he truly knows what the feeling of having a Luna is.

But as soon as they entered the house Esther Dawn was waiting for them with his arms crossed and languid eyes staring at Yoru.

"Are you brothers done talking? Yawns~" asked Esther Dawn.

Mayonaka Yoru smiles naturally towards his partner, "It's done. Let's go to sleep, Este-chan~"

Esther Dawn looked at Conri Lycaon and said, "The water is ready. Take a dip to remove the coldness in your body and go to sleep as soon as possible. There will be a tough thing to do tomorrow."

"I will. Thank you and Goodnight, brothers." Conri Lycaon walked silently towards the room where Carnelian Dawn was sleeping while the other pair went to another vacant room to take their rest. As for their seniors, Great Elder Tuya and Keylan Light, they are nowhere to be found. They might have gone out somewhere.

Unbeknownst to them, a man in a pure white robe with his face hidden beneath a veiled hat and a black jaguar with golden patterns appeared above the house. For some reason, neither the Beast G.o.d nor Mikaela were aware of their presence in the world.

The man in a white robe said, "I've seen them. Let's go back."

"Sure. The house must be prepared by now." The black jaguar with golden spots said.

The two figures above the house of the Great Elder had vanished in an instant. Tuya and Keylan Light, who had been hiding their presence, appeared unexpectedly. They apparently decided to hide in order for the person staring at them from a distance to reveal themselves.

Keylan Light asked, "Do you recognize them?"

"No. Even though their aura seems familiar, I haven't met these two before. But who would have thought they would choose to live in the Original Tribe's Territory? That place is supposed to be surrounded by formation preventing outsiders not connected to the Original Solune Tribe from entering." Great Elder Tuya said.

Keylan Light asked, "Doesn't that mean they are connected to the founders?"

"Maybe or maybe not. But even I am not capable of entering the Original Tribe's Territory. I will have to report this to the Beast G.o.d." Great Elder Tuya said.

Keylan Light said, "I will go with you to pick up someone."

These two also disappeared on the spot and they seem to head to the Domain of the Beast G.o.d. As his messenger, Tuya is capable of entering her Lord's domain. With Keylan Light accompanying her, they head to where the Beast G.o.d resides.

Today is a busy and important day. Because today is the last day of the Beast G.o.d's Trial for Mates. The event was orchestrated by none other than the Great Elder Tuya. Amber commented, "She looks like the lead emcee in some kind of variety show."

"Emcee? Variety show?" Asher Light asked bewildered. In their world, there was no such thing as artists or actors.

Amber Dawn replied, "That was something like a show in the world I came from."

"Quiet. Focus on the contents of the Trail. We are to move in pairs, not in groups, to make sure to remember what is needed to be remembered." Esther Dawn said.

The other four answered the call of the second eldest among the group, "Yes, brother!"

Keylan Light, who arrived on the scene with white wings on his back, was a special guest who was going to join her in overlooking the trials for this event. The other Beastmen mistook him for a bird-type beastman until the Great Elder Tuya introduced him as another G.o.d's messenger, similar to her.

The size of the hunted prey will show how much you love your partner or each other. So choose your prey wisely. At this stage, I will judge whether your hunted prey suits you or not. If it was successful the Beast G.o.d would bring a shower of light on the pair that pa.s.sed. You cannot cheat after all G.o.d is watching."

"Second Stage of the Trial of Love. Is the most simple yet hard for those who don't have a talent for it. Most couples broke up at this stage. You will have to cook what you hunted in the first stage and feed each other. The taste of your food must be able to satisfy your female Beastmen or lover, if not then you would fail as well."

"The last stage is to pa.s.s through the Forest of Illusions. As long as you come out of the forest after taking a piece of flower from the Floral Garden at the center you will be deemed pa.s.sed and we will prepare for your Mates.h.i.+p Ceremony to receive the Blessings of the Beast G.o.d and the Elemental Light G.o.d. I hope everyone do your best!"

The City gates slowly opened when the Great Elder Tuya gestured toward the guards on standby.

"As long as you prove your love, you will pa.s.s the trials. I pray for all your success. Let the Trial Begin!!"
