The huge white orb is made up of life force when Ye Xiajie compressed it to keep the energy more potent he had to refine it to become a pill.

Xia Jieye spoke, "I've refined it into a pill. Feed this to my little one. And don't forget the last world is mine to complete." Only then did he cut off the connection with his soul core.

Ye Xiajie had a grim look as he recalled Xia Jieye's words. He knew that in the world after the next, the one to accompany his wife in that life would not be him. But this is also alright. He could make the necessary preparations to clean up the Ye Gui Race while waiting for his wife to return.

It took a few hours before Chu Mo, Han Ya, Zane, An Yuan, and Lan She completed their tasks in the dungeons and received their rewards. When the players finished their missions in the dungeon what welcomed them was a land of silence and death.

Everyone was stunned at the scene of seeing countless dried corpses in the village. The dried corpses even look. So frightened during their deaths. Those terrified expressions on their faces say everything that had happened in the village. Whether they are fairies from the spirit race or human players, all their ending is the same.

Zane was frowning looking around the area. Before they entered the dungeon this village was still full of life even though it was a facade of happiness, it is at least better than the quiet and eerie land of the dead before them.

"What happened here? Are the bosses okay?" asked Zane.

Chu Mo spoke, "Don't talk nonsense. No one could harm the Lords in this world."

The frown on his forehead cannot be ignored. Chu Mo had a feeling that this scene had something to do with the Lord G.o.d himself. But he couldn't say it to the others as he had no authority to question his own lord.

An Yuan and Lan She was investigating the dried corpses while Han Ya felt a vicious aura much more powerful than what his majesty possessed and felt that something might have happened to the lords.

Han Ya asked, "How is it, A'Yuan? What do you think happened?"

"I've checked with my eyes. These corpses every single one of them were all drained. They've dried up because their life force was drained out of them." answered An Yuan while he saw Lan She wore rubber gloves and checked a corpse more closely.

Lan She commented, "The scratches in the inner side of the mouth and jaw forcefully opened. These guys got attacked by something that sucked the life force from their mouths or maybe for all of their holes."

An Yuan remembered Hei Anjing and Ye Xiajien that remained in the village and didn't join them in the dungeons.

"How about Sir Hei and Sir Abyss!? Are they alright?" asked An Yuan worriedly.

Chu Mo and Lan She reacted calmly as they knew the ident.i.ty of their bosses. Han Ya somewhat believes that those two are alright as well as he recalled the real ident.i.ty of Player Abyss.

Han Ya said, "They should be alright. Let's first look for the inn as they might be there. While we are at it, let's ask them what happened here as well."

While they were talking calmly, the other players didn't take this scene well. Some of their teammates, friends, and family were in this village while they were still inside the dungeon. Seeing such a devastating scene they couldn't help but lose their minds in anger, sadness, and disbelief, especially those who had to see their acquaintances within the crowd of dried corpses.

"What the h.e.l.l happened here!?"

"No. No. My younger sister. My sister was here!!"

"This is... Impossible. Lydia... Lydia is that you..." said a man who found his wife's dried corpse on the road. He could sadly hug her body but no matter how careful he is the dried remains crumbles into dust when touched. "Aaaah!!!"

There are multiple similar cases like this and moat players tried to look around the village to investigate what happened. Then they saw a huge black dried tree at the center of the village. Its roots were entangled in many corpses they've found and realized that it was this tree monster who caused all this to happen. It's just that... Did everyone in the village all die as they expected?

Everyone saw the calm group of Han Ya and the rest. They recognized Chu Mo and Lan She. They were quite a popular figure as it was well known what kind of players they were. When they arrived at the inn, a huge bonfire was lit in front of the ruined inn. Player Abyss is there sitting by the fire with rumored lover, Player Hei poking at the sweet potato within the fire. Some human players are unexpectedly alive surrounding the fire grilling some cheese and mallows as well.

These are the lucky players who had gone to the forest Labyrinth to train when Ye Xiajie chose to sacrifice everyone in the village. Of course, none of them knew what happened. The latest thing they had witnessed is that Ye Xiajie had been floating near the dangerous black tree and did something which made it dry up.

To their eyes, it was Player Abyss who had defeated the tree though he arrived a bit late to save anyone. Suddenly Player Abyss disappeared in the air and in half an hour he once again appeared with Player Hei Anjing. Only when the couple returned did they ask what happened. It seems that the Corrupted G.o.d hidden by the Spirit Race had gone crazy. It ate everyone in the village.

It was coincidental that Player Abyss went to the village to buy some food for his wife and saw the scene but by that time everyone inside the village had already fallen so to prevent further casualties Player Abyss killed the Corrupted G.o.d.

The other players were kneeling and crying as they thanked Player Abyss from a distance. Ye Xiajie continued to ignore them as his wife was telling the cook faster as he was hungry.

While Lan She, Chu Mo, and Han Ya remained silent. They actually knew that things must have been completely different than what one of the survivors had told. They knew too well what kind of personality Ye Xiajie has. This kind of wide range of death and cruelty is most likely his own doing. As for why he did it, it was something they were very interested in.

Only Lan She who is staring at the awake Lord Hei could somewhat guess the reason why the Lord G.o.d had killed everyone in the village. It might just be because he wanted to wake up his wife, which is Lord Hei himself.

By the bonfire.

"My love, is it cooked yet? My sweet potatoes~" asked Hei Anjing.

Ye Xiajie's tone mellowed as he responded to his wife. "It's cooked. Let me get one for you."

Of course, he noticed the eyes of the other and drool directed towards him and pulled out a sack of sweet potatoes.

With an indifferent tone he said to the rest, "Cook your own." said Ye Xiajie.

"Thanks, Boss!" said the other players who made their bonfire and cooked their sweet potatoes in it as well. While waiting they couldn't help but watch Ye Xiajie and Hei Anjing flirting at the corner.

They've watched as the strongest ranker acts like a loving husband towards Player Hei Anjing. He even helped him peel the skin on the sweet potato for his wife.

Hei Anjing, who was happily eating his sweet potato, finally noticed the rest of his teammates.

"Oh~ you guys are finally out. I just woke up and asked A'Xia to make me some sweet potatoes. Here should be some within the fire. Go get it yourself and rest for a while. We are going to leave in an hour." said Hei Anjing.

Zane responded, "Thanks Lady Boss!"

"Do you want to grill some meat or fish? I marinated some too," said Hei Anjing, who pulled huge plastic boxes full of meat and seafood... He didn't forget to share some with the other players as well.

Hearing that it was prepared by Hei Anjing himself Lan She and Chu Mo who haven't eaten Lord Hei's cooking for a long time had almost teleported in front of him just to take a few boxes from the pile. Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue had also materialized just to get a few boxes from themselves.

Seeing the excitement and yearning within Lan She and Chu Mo's eyes while staring at the boxes with marinated meat and seafood they knew that pre-marinated meat and seafood must have been made by Hei Anjing and it must be extremely delicious.

Hei Anjing laughs at this scene while Ye Xiajie has a cold look on his face. Those are his portions. Everything his wife cooked is his. These beggars, how dare they steal my food.

What happened after Hei Anjing woke up?

When Ye Xiajie used the life force for everyone in the village to sustain his wife's soul and allowed it to stabilize, Hei Anjing never questioned why he sacrificed everyone just to wake him up.

Even when he saw the scattered dried corpses around the village which turned into a dead village he didn't ask him anything and happily held his hands as they walked around looking for the cleanest area to make a bonfire. It was as if the death of others never mattered to him or them at all.

Ye Xiajie asked his wife once. "Are you afraid of me now? I am cruel and indifferent to the lives of others. Only your life is more important than the rest. Baby, do you hate me now?"

Hei Anjing didn't answer right away but looked at his husband with an expression saying 'Are you asking this for real?'

"My love... Have you forgotten what kind of G.o.d your wife is? I am the G.o.d of Destruction. Except for your life and the life of my family, the lives of others never matter to me. Death, blood, and destruction excite me. This kind of scene would never scare me at all. So never blame yourself for the lives of n.o.body. As long as you are okay, I would be okay as well. Even if you ruined a world or killed everything in this world as long as you aren't hurt nothing else would move me." said Hei Anjing as he hugs his husband.
