Chapter 619

In the next few days, Dio asked Shuri to monitor any anomaly around the world. He wanted to know anything that would lead to disaster later. He knew that Odin’s life wouldn’t be long now, and as soon as he died, Hela would be freed! Therefore, Dio couldn’t let his guard down now. If his suspicion that Hela would come to Earth as soon as Odin died was really true, then it would be a huge disaster! 

In addition to that, in order to increase his fighting chance against Hela even for a little bit, Dio carried the Power Gem around just to make sure that he would be able to finish Hela off quickly! However, a few days had pa.s.sed, and the Earth was still the same as it was before Thor came in. the demons were still around, but their number had dwindled significantly. Most of the demons now laid low, hiding among the humans so that they could live just a little bit longer.

Compared to the terrible environment on h.e.l.l, Earth was like heaven to them! 

The calm before the storm really was a difficult situation for Dio, especially since Carol hasn’t reported anything about Hamon. It was difficult for him to think about a bad outcome since it was Carol Denver, Captain Marvel herself! In addition to that, Galaxy was still sleeping with no sign of waking up either. The current situation really unnerved Dio as he couldn’t afford to make a wrong move now.

But at noon, Dio suddenly received contact from Thor. But before Thor could say anything, the connection was cut off, and no matter how hard Dio tried to contact Thor again, he couldn’t hear anything from Thor again. Surely, a problem has arisen in Asgard! Dio immediately speculated that Hela appeared on Asgard as soon as Odin has died! But it was still confusing. If Hela really appeared wherever Odin had died, why didn’t Odin go to some other place before he died? 

There was a probability that Odin himself didn’t know about Hela’s circ.u.mstances or that he just simply forgot. After all, in his other world, Dio knew that Odin didn’t go to Earth out of his own will. It was because Loki threw him out to Earth so that he could rule Asgard for himself!

It was something that neither Loki nor Thor could predict, and in the end, it did them a favour, preventing the worst-case scenario from happening until Loki himself messed up again! Loki’s action after that was nowhere near atonement for his mistake either. It took several pushes from Thor until Loki finally admitted that he was the son of Asgard too and thus helped the Ragnarok to happen and destroyed Hela in the end. 

It was safe to say that without Ragnarok, Loki and Thor had no chance to win against Hela! But then again, a miracle could happen, and no one knew what Hela’s power source really was. It could just be something that Thor and Loki had never thought of before. Now, Dio knew that his priority should be to confirm the situation on Asgard as soon as possible. He didn’t know which plot he had changed this time, so he needed a considerable amount of information first to truly grasp the situation and formulate a solution!

But then another question arose, how would he confirm the situation on Asgard? The communication snail on Thor seemed to be destroyed, so he couldn’t contact Thor, and there was no way for him to go to Asgard! 

Dio thought about it for a moment and came to the conclusion that the best course of action right now was probably calling Heimdall! Heimdall had the power to see everything in the Nine Realms, and Earth was no exception. As long as his name was called, Heimdall would be able to see whoever it was! 

But as there was no way to know whether his call had been answered or not, Dio could only shout Heimdall’s name in shame as everyone would think that he got a screw loose or something. First of all, Dio looked around and found himself an empty room, and once he was quite sure that he didn’t see anyone, he started to chant Heimdall’s name loudly!

“Heimdall! Can you hear me!! I am Dio, and I want to know what happened in Asgard! Is Thor there? Heimdall, I need an answer!” Dio shouted loudly. He tried to shout over and over again, but he didn’t receive any response at all. He didn’t know whether Heimdall didn’t hear him, or he couldn’t answer Dio at the moment, or worse, Heimdall was already dead!

Personally, Dio thought that Heimdall might not hear him as Heimdall probably could only hear someone on Asgard, not anywhere else on the Nine Realms. Otherwise, it probably annoyed him how much people calling his name every day. Heimdall wasn’t only a name strict to the all-seeing guardian, but some people on Earth, especially Scandinavian, have several Heimdall too!

After all, people tend to use the name of G.o.ds or other otherworldly beings that became a myth on Earth as their child’s name. 

So, how could Dio get to Asgard right now? Who could he turn to ask for help right now? But that was not all. Dio also thought about his own well-being. Was it really necessary for him to intervene on Ragnarok? He might be a good friend with Thor, and he was also acknowledged by Odin, but it didn’t mean that he had to help them in a situation like this!

But he sighed once again as he remembered the badge that Odin had given him in the past! It was some sort of beacon that could be used to communicate with Asgard at the time of need. How could he forget such an important item? So, Dio immediately returned to his quarter on Dark Battles.h.i.+p to get the badge, but after he found it, he hesitated once again. Who should he contact on Asgard? Should he call for Heimdall as the guy was a very loyal and intelligent fellow? Or should he call someone else?

But after thinking about it for a while, Dio couldn’t seem to find anyone that he could call for, and thus he settled for Heimdall! If it turned out he couldn’t contact Heimdall with the badge, he could just think about someone else to contact later!

So, Dio infused his spirit inside the badge and tried to call for Heimdall’s name on his mind. The badge was immediately enveloped in dim light and quickly expanded, enveloping Dio as well!
