Chapter 666

“We will not sacrifice any life! Vision and Mind Stone isn’t one ent.i.ty to begin with. Therefore, if we remove the Mind Stone, Vision shouldn’t lose his personality!” Dio said as he ushered Vision towards Shuri’s workshop! 

Shuri began a.n.a.lysing Vision and seemed to understand something after a while. “His nerves structure is very complicated. If we want to remove the Mind Stone without hurting him, we have to strip so many neurons from the Mind Stone to make it painless.” Shuri said curiously. 

“Can you do it?” Tony said skeptically. Although this was not his area of expertise, Tony was always hailed as a genius of Technology, so he knew what Shuri was saying earlier. He knew how complicated it would be, and he knew that it would take a long time to finis.h.!.+

“Of course, that is why I’m standing here!” Shuri said casually. 

“So what do you want to do? Strip the neurons one by one? You know a slight mistake would turn him into an idiot, right? Maybe I can a.s.sist you in this operation! Don’t get me wrong. Although this isn’t my area of expertise, I am sure I would be able to master the tech in no time!” Tony said confidently. 

“And why would I do that? I could just reencode these neurons and make them let go of the Mind Stone instead of stripping them manually! It wouldn’t take hours to do so!” Shuri said annoyedly. Everyone looked at Tony as it was the first time they ever saw Tony get schooled. 

“Hey, I didn’t expect it would be that easy!” Tony said as he tried to defend himself out of embarra.s.sment. 

“That’s true. No one would think of a way like this!” Shuri said as she saw Tony’s discouraged face. Tony suddenly smiled as he realised that Shuri was trying to save him some of his pride. But even then, Natasha still laughed her heart out as she never saw Tony in such an awkward situation before. Meanwhile, everyone else was trying hard to hold back their laughter. 

“Just laugh, everyone! There is no need to contain your laughter!” Tony said annoyedly. What made Tony even more depressed at the moment was that he couldn’t verbally abuse a young girl like Shuri! He was annoyed by the fact that everyone tried to hold back their laughter, but surely this was just a once-in-a-lifetime event! 

“Are you sure you can do it smoothly? How long would it take for you to finish things up?” Dio suddenly asked Shuri, ignoring everyone else’s laughter. 

“I can’t guarantee that I will succeed. After all, the number of neurons that I need to operate is too much, meaning one small mistake is a fatal one! So, I need more time to code everything first and maybe it would take a day or two to finish up!” Shuri said confidently.

“Well, if that is the case, why don’t we start now? We have to get it done before the enemy finds our whereabouts! After we take out the Mind Stone, please destroy it as soon as you can, Wanda!” Dio said solemnly. 

Wanda nodded her head as everyone else agreed with Dio’s word. “In case of the enemy infiltrating our place, we’ll divide into three groups and take turns to guard this area. The woman that Vision encountered seemed to have some kind of an illusion ability so, everyone had to stay on guard! T’challa will be in charge of monitoring this place through his security personnel too!” Dio said, making sure it was clear for everyone. 

Dio knew that the best thing to do right now was to use Wakanda’s energy barrier to keep the enemy away from the Mind Stone before they could destroy it. Unfortunately, it required too much energy to activate it, and there was a risk that it would draw the enemy’s attention as it would clearly send energy signals everywhere! So, to be safe, Dio didn’t mention it to the rest of the Avengers, and neither did T’challa. 

Everyone immediately got to their post. Shuri began to a.n.a.lyse Vision’s head in an attempt to take out the Mind Stone while the others quickly divided into groups and patrolled the area as to prevent anyone from approaching Shuri’s lab. At the same time, Dio spent one minute of [Gold Experience]’s time and refilled the little snail back to full, splitting it up to 9 little snails and distributing it to everyone.

While Dio and the others were trying to destroy the Mind Stone to avert the universe’s crisis, so many planets in the universe have fallen into destruction! The reason was naturally the Macrophage Worm King that had infused itself with the Power Gem, swallowing planets like it was candy! Although it hads only eaten 3 unmanned planets, people still panicked as they watched Dio’s broadcast! 

Even some ancient races began to panic as they had never seen such a huge Macrophage Worm in their lives! So, countless forces have sent their resources to find this creature. It was either to kill it or to capture it! The same thing happened in the criminal underworld, too as the wealthy people started offering money to the bounty hunters that could capture or take some part of the worms as a trophy. 

In this sense, it was natural for Taneleer Tivan to make a move again! He wouldn’t miss out on such an opportunity to increase his collection. However, no one could do anything to the worm king as it was on the size that easily ignored anyone’s weapon! 

On the other hand, when the worm turned its body to attack the bounty hunter’s s.h.i.+p. There was only a slim chance for the s.h.i.+p to escape its attacking path! The worm even swallowed many s.h.i.+ps whole! As more and more bounty hunters and mercenaries fell victim, the people that wanted something from the worm began to dwindle as they knew that it was impossible for them to do anything. 

As a result, some super factions of the universe started to ally themselves with each other and eliminate the threat of the worm once and for all! The worm wasn’t a simple attraction anymore. They knew if the worm was left alone, it would eventually bite them in the a.s.s in the future!
