Chapter 775

Steve wasn’t using his intuition, but years of experience on the battlefield allowed him to distinguish whether a person was hostile or not. Although it sounded ridiculous, it was the truth! When the enemy attacked him just now, it didn’t feel like the enemy really meant it, it was as if the enemy wasn’t serious at all!

Why would the enemy do something like that? Even though the enemy had a picture-perfect camouflage, they deliberately exposed themselves twice! The more Steve thought about it, the more odd the whole situation seemed. But one thing for sure was that the enemy intentionally lured them away from something. 

This was definitely a trap! This was also the reason why he prevented Natasha from chasing after the enemy. Steve and the others ignored the fleeing Scott as they already knew that it was a trap.

Scott was irritated by Steve’s rationality as it wasn’t something that he expected! He just wanted to shout at Steve to chase after him like they were supposed to. And so, Scott attacked once again to draw Steve and the others’ attention, but Steve and the others were vigilant this time and they almost caught Scott because of it.

If it weren’t for the Ant Man’s ability to manipulate his size, he would have been caught and captured by now. But the more pressing matter for Scott right now was to think of another way to distract the Avengers. This was a very bad situation for Scott as he wasn’t used to this kind of problem. 

Luci observed the situation and figured out that Scott was in a very bad situation, and thus she immediately came out of hiding. Dio already told her to listen to the one in charge of this mission, which was Steve. Steve from the future already gave her a mission to draw the people of that timeline away from the Avenger’s Tower in case Scott failed.

She didn’t quite understand why these people has to be drawn away from the tower as she didn’t really understand what ‘drawn away’ means, so she just went ahead and made a move without putting much thought into it.

Steve and Tony were hiding in the shadow as they observed the situation in the battlefield. When they saw that Scott’s distraction was a bust, they looked away silently. They never put too much hope in Scott as Steve knew that Scott only possessed a little threat for the Avenger of this time. 

“Vision, it seems I still have to trouble you for this.” Steve said as he looked towards Vision who wasn’t that far from his current position. Vision nodded silently. Even though he already lost his Mind Stone, he didn’t lose much of his ability. His body was still made from the Vibranium and Adamantium combination and it was enough to make him ignore most dangers in this time.

At this moment, a huge shadow cast over the battlefield and Steve that turned his attention back to the battlefield was shocked! “Tony! Luci has transformed!” Steve said surprisedly. 

“What the h.e.l.l! Is that Luci? She is so much bigger than the Hulk!” Tony said as he took off his sungla.s.ses. 

Steve and Tony saw a huge human-shaped b.u.t.terfly that was at least 100 meters tall, flying in the sky. A dazzling galaxy-shaped light was wrapped around its body like a ribbon and the human face was absolutely beautiful, too! But one thing for sure was that the face still resembled Luci’s human face.

“Truly remarkable!” Tony said subconsciously. He never thought that Luci’s transformation would be this beautiful, but then again Dio only described her power resembled that of Thor. But Tony frowned as he remembered what Dio had said, as he had absolutely no idea which aspect of her power resembled Thor’s.

Vision, who saw the situation after Steve and Tony just smiled as he knew that his ability wasn’t needed anymore.

Luci has transformed and she stared at the little people below her feet. Her innocent G.o.ddess-like transformation made everything like a complete joke! 

Steve and the other Avengers who were cautious of Scott’s attack were completely startled by the sudden emergence of the G.o.ddess in front of them. Even Scott was dumbfounded by the scene of the transformed Luci! 

Scott at first thought that Luci was just a useless woman who didn’t have any ability except for her beautiful appearance, but he was completely wrong! 

Now he finally understood why Dio never left her alone when he first met Luci! He never expected Luci to transform to such a huge creature like this! Scott almost couldn’t believe he let Luci play with his daughter earlier! 

Scott’s face was pale from imagining that Luci would crush his daughter from just a little misunderstanding.

At the same time, the Chitauri Army began to rush towards the bright b.u.t.terfly G.o.ddess and attacked her as it was obvious a beautiful creature such as Luci wasn’t part of their army. 

Luci then flapped her wings faster and then the bright light that surrounded her instantly turned into light needles that pierced the enemy within her surroundings! The needle-shaped light was fast and indestructible, and everyone that was. .h.i.t by the light needle was completely disintegrated!

With one blow, all enemies within the radius of several kilometers were killed! At the very least, tens of thousands of the Chitauri army were killed in Luci’s hand. If Dio could see the scene in front of him right now, he would surely wonder how a strong race like this didn’t have a complete control over the universe! 

It was absurd! Luci herself had the power to completely destroy a planet by herself! 

Thousands of flying machines fell from the sky as their pilot has been disintegrated! In fact, Luci’s attack just now seemed to have made the world gone quiet! 

Steve and the others couldn’t tell whether she was a friend or a foe! In fact, they have been completely at loss for words from the beginning! It was not that they didn’t want to say anything about this, but they just didn’t know what word to describe everything they saw right now.
