Luo Fei and Mo Han stayed on the top of the mountain for a long time, but didn’t see Ludwig and Iman. Luo Fei sent a message to his roommate in doubt: “What’s the matter?”

In the holographic screen, Ludwig’s face was stiff, and he said coldly: “Iman didn’t dare go over the cliff; we’re trying to figure another way.”

Iman also moved his head closer and looked at Luo Fei. “I’m too scared to walk on the cliff. My legs are weak!”

Luo Fei rubbed his temples feeling a headache. “Then why don’t you come over in a mech.”

Iman scratched his head: “I went there in a mech last year, so riding a mech again this time… it’s like cheating on an exam.”

Luo Fei said: “It’s okay, anyway, us three examiners will not arrest you for cheating. You can ride a mech and come directly to the top of the mountain.”

Iman looked back at Ludwig: “Do you want to go up in the mech with me?”

Ludwig turned and walked away with a blank expression. “I’m a soldier, I will climb up by myself.”

After finis.h.i.+ng the call, Iman summoned his own mech. The fiery red mech quickly transformed into the shape of a hovering vehicle. Iman sat in the c.o.c.kpit, opened the porthole, and said to Ludwig with a smile: “I won’t fly over so soon. I’ll follow behind you and protect you at any time.”

Ludwig frowned: “You don’t need to protect me.”

“But this place is too dangerous, I’m worried. Anyway, I want to protect you.” Iman replied.

Ludwig: “…”

Why does this omega always say “I want to protect you”?

Ludwig ignored him, looked at the cliff in front of him, and calmly scaled the stone wall.

Following in the mech-turned-hover car, Iman could only remind him with words like “be careful” or “watch where you step” from time to time.

It was awkward being followed and protected by the mech the entire time. His expression became more and more ugly, and he wanted to seal the omega’s mouth with tape.

When he finally arrived at the top of the mountain, it was already six o’clock in the afternoon.

Seeing Iman coming up in the hovercraft, Luo Fei couldn’t help laughing: “You call this mountain climbing?”

“My physical strength is not as good as yours, and I am not as courageous as you.” Iman said cheekily. “I can only rely on high-tech tools.”

Seeing Ludwig’s unchanging face after climbing the mountain, just like Luo Fei’s earlier, Mo Han couldn’t help feeling a little admiration in his heart. The students trained by the best military academy in the Empire are different. They’ve undergone special training, and their physical fitness is much better than ordinary people. They saw Iman get off the hovercraft and take out a large package from the c.o.c.kpit with a smile.

The process of going down the mountain was more difficult than summiting. When going up, one looks forward, allowing them to ignore the dangers behind. However, when going down, the cliff is easily visible, making it easier to feel scared.

Iman cheated again and went straight down on his mech.

The other three took safety measures and walked down step by step.

Evening was falling, making it harder to see the rugged terrain in the dim light.Luo Fei was worried that Mo Han would fall, so he consciously walked ahead and stretched out his hand to him: “Be careful, I will pull you.”

Facing Luo Fei’s smiling eyes, Mo Han stretched out his hand involuntarily, but he regretted it immediately, because the next moment Luo Fei held his hand tightly and didn’t let go.

Mo Han wanted to pull it back, but his hand was held even tighter by the other party.

Luo Fei’s serious voice came from next to his ear: “Going down the mountain is more dangerous than going up. Don’t be brave, let me help you.”

His reasons could not be refuted, so Mo Han had no choice but to stop struggling and was awkwardly led by him step by step.

Although Mo Han’s face was calm, his heart beat faster and faster.

This is his first time holding hands with someone. Luo Fei’s fingers are slender and strong, and his palms are dry and warm, giving him a very “peace of mind” feeling. The other party’s warmth pa.s.sed through their joined hands to the nerves in his arms, and flowed into the bottom of his heart.

“But we didn’t book a hotel for tonight.” Mo Han frowned.

He is a person who likes to do things according to the plan. The original plan was to return directly after mountaineering.

“You can stay at the military academy for one night.” Luo Fei suggested. “Our school has an internal hotel for visitors. I’ll submit an application now and it should be approved soon.”

“I haven’t lived in a military academy yet.” Iman’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Mo Han, let’s stay for one night, it’s getting dark, you don’t have anything urgent. It’s not too late to return tomorrow!”

Mo Han couldn’t resist Iman’s urging, so he nodded helplessly: “Okay.”

Luo Fei’s application was quickly submitted and approved. After returning to campus, he led Mo Han and Iman through strict security checks to enter the military academy.

The hotels inside the military academy are different from those five-star hotels outside. The buildings are rigid and solemn, and the interior decoration is also simple and plain.

Because of other ongoing school activities, many visitors are staying overnight, so they could not get two rooms next to each other. Mo Han said that it didn’t matter, so the front desk quickly gave them room cards. Iman was a.s.signed to the 6th floor, and Mo Han was a.s.signed to the 17th floor.

Luo Fei turned around and asked, “Ludwig, why don’t you take Iman over?”

When visitors are on the academy premises, they must be accompanied by the students of the school. These rules are there to prevent criminals from entering the military academy and causing trouble. When Ludwig heard this, he glanced at Iman and turned around coldly: “Let’s go.”

Iman immediately followed him with a big smile on his face.

Luo Fei personally sent Mo Han to his room. In the elevator, Luo Fei said with concern: “The conditions of the academy’s accommodations aren’t luxurious. The rooms are very simple and based on military standards, you may not feel used to it. If you need anything, tell me what you need, and I’ll go buy it for you.”

Mo Han said: “It’s okay, I don’t have high requirements, as long as the room is clean.”

The elevator stopped on the 17th floor with a “ding”.

Just as Luo Fei and Mo Han walked out the door, they unexpectedly saw a familiar face.

The man was dressed in a straight black military uniform, with the logo of the rank of major general on his shoulder. With sword-like brows and bright eyes, he was extremely handsome.

Ling An returned the salute.

Back during Luo Fei’s birthday party, Major General Ling An walked up to Mo Han and Mo Qiming and said, “Having such ideas at a young age, and it is said that you are still a coding genius? Like father, like son.” Although it was just a polite compliment, Mo Han couldn’t help but feel guilty, always feeling there was a deeper meaning in his words.

Today, seeing him again, the way the general looked at him still made Mo Han feel chills in his heart.
