Chapter 691: [691] Kizmal(3)
Alan's figure streaked through the air like a bolt of yellow lightning, ripping through the air and arriving at the eye of the fragment of Kizmal. The spearhead of the Ame-No-Sakahoko shone as his mana engulfed it like a rising tide.
The fragment of Kizmal realized what Alan was doing, even if it was occupied. He attempted to close his eyes, but Alan was faster. The Ame-No-Sakahoko pierced through the soft eyeball and entered deep.
White-blue light poured from the wound like fire, intense, scorching fire, each droplet disappearing into a torrent of lightning and steam the moment it touched the ground.
But that was not all of it, Alan held his screams of pain within as his body bathed in the incinerating blood, but his grip was absolute. Even at this very moment, where his body was under the a.s.sault of scalding blood, he persevered and pushed the Ame-No-Sakahoko deep, as deep as he could.
The fragment of Kizmal staggered, its immense might, faltered for a moment, and Kazikato used that chance well. He recovered from his stunned stupor and lunged at the fragment's other eye. The one that fought against the effects of his rotting breath.
Kazikato opened his maw, revealing an impenetrable darkness hidden within and teeth sharp enough to tear steel like it was paper. And took a bite out of his other eye.
A tide of shadows arose from his body, making a s.h.i.+eld to protect him from the scalding, hot blood. He had seen what had happened to Alan, and wanted to avoid it. But could he block it completely?
Certainly not, the blue blood was fierce, and hot. The shadows tried their best to resist, but failed. Kazikato gulped down mouthfuls of the fragment's blood.
He fell, his body paralyzed, and the shadows that made his flesh washed away like water, showcasing the burnt ivory beneath them, now dyed blue.
His ma.s.sive body fell to the ground, and hit the ground with a resounding thud. Kazikato had tried to cus.h.i.+on his fall with the help of shadows, but failed to do so. His entire body was paralyzed...
Alan shared the same fate, his regeneration failed him, and he succ.u.mbed to the harrowing fate. His grip failed, and he let go of the Ame-No-Sakahoko, falling down. His body paralyzed and disfigured.
Burnt beyond recognition, but he was still alive. Maybe that was why it was so painful. Electricity rampaged within his vessel, but he fought against it. Discarding the usage of mana, he suffered for a mere moment before utilizing all of his aura to augment his healing factor.
The cry of a bird was heard, as blue fire erupted from his blackened body, expelling the ruthless electricity. The fragment of Kizmal roared, releasing a shockwave that sent his body barreling down at an even greater speed.
He was like a meteor encased in blue fire... only this meteor sprouted wings like that of a mighty bird.
The cry of a beard resounded in the realm, and a Phoenix of blue flame emerged. Alan was using his bloodline to it's fullest potential, utilizing all of his aura just to augment his healing.
The Phoenix opened its mouth, and spat out a fireball towards the paralyzed dragon beneath it, it was not an attack, but more like a healing spell.
One that may look threatening, but was actually a blessing in disguise. Kazikato recovered from his paralysis and moved, barely evading a beam of pure light.
*CLAP*
But he could not rise again.
"Get up, idiot!"
Alan yelled from above, but even his voice, enhanced as it was, could not reach Kazikato, his ears were long gone. Kazikato transformed back into a human. He had too, his entire tail had been eradicated.
"s.h.i.+t!"
Alan dived towards him, and picked him up, evading another beam of eviscerating light as the fragment of Kizmal roared, enraged that he could not hit them. Alan opened up a portal and threw Kazikato inside.
The portal led to the platform, he would be safe there.
Alan transformed back into a human, dodging another eviscerating beam of light as his aura reserves ran out. He knelt down, the effects of aura exhaustion devastating his body.
He expected another beam of eviscerating light to rain down on him, but no such thing came. Instead, all he heard were roars as the Ame-No-Sakahoko appeared beside him, it's spearhead stabbing deep into the ground.
The spear was covered in blue blood, looking worse for wear. Alan looked up at the fragment of Kizmal, putting the Ame-No-Sakahoko in his inventory.
'I should have used Gáe Bolg...'
He regretted that he did not think to use Gáe Bolg, it would have been far more effective to use that spear instead of his beloved Ame-No-Sakahoko. But then again, maybe he would have died if more blood had been spilled on his body.
But he could not cry over it now... it was only him, and the Fragment of Kizmal.
The Giant had already mended his eyes, and looked down at him, each breath unleashed a storm. Alan stood up and reciprocated the gaze.
"Aren't you an ugly f.u.c.ker..."
He muttered, as a blinding blue light, no lesser than Kizmal's own, covered his body, changing it.
[Dragon Transformation is being used.]
A dragon of pure white let out a fearsome roar and soared into the skies, the world itself grew colder as Alan cast [Blizzard], an S-rank spell.
He did not really cast it from the system, just imagined it, like how he was told to do so. He wanted a blizzard...so he would just need to use enough mana to make it.
It was how dragons fought, they simply needed to imagine what they wanted, and expend enough mana to conjure it. They did not follow the rules of sorcery like other races.
Their very imagination was a sorcery. If Alan wanted a blizzard, he would get a blizzard. He gave up on going for the eyes of the giant, and opted to go for the strange drums behind on his back. Alan soared into the sky, as the fragment of Kizmal used his gigantic hands to grab
him.
Alan used [Instantaneous Teleportation] many times to evade the Giant, he did not want to see how strong it's grip would be. Nevertheless, the fragment of Kizmal was fast, incredibly
fast...
It was fitting for a lightning giant, but even then... when you were that big, that speed was
simply nonsensical.
'Broken b.a.s.t.a.r.d...'
Alan cursed as he reached one of the seven drums on the giant's back. Before the Giant could turn around, let out a fierce breath at one of them.
Alas, all he could manage was to encase the drum in ice, ice that was broken easily. Alan clicked his tongue and summoned a meteor, aiming it at the giant's back.
He noticed how the giant was not using his eviscerating beams of light anymore.
'Can he only use
seven times?'
Equal to the number of drums on his back, it was a reasonable conclusion, considering that
the eviscerating beams of light originated from those giant drums.
It could be a skill, instead of just a natural ability of the Giants. Some skills, especially the overpowering ones, had cooldowns, like how his [Possession] had one.
It made perfect sense in his mind, those eviscerating beams of light were simply out of this world. Having enough power to annihilate other living beings may make sense, but not him. His body was tough, durable, incredibly so. A dragon's body should not vanish without a trace
like that.
The giant could use it only seven times, however... how long was the cooldown? Alan hoped it would be a day or a week, but knew it was far-fetched.
He still had hope, however.
He backed away, focusing his skills on the drums instead of the body of the Giant, all the
while evading his attacks. The dreadful, deadly battle had turned into a comical sight as Alan spammed meteors on the Giant, as the fragment of Kizmal tried to swat him away, or grab
him.
The giant was indeed fast, his thunderbolts were indeed quick, but he was simply out- matched in speed. His opponent was a spatial affinity user.
You could be as fast as you wanted, but you would still pale when Alan could simply use [Instantaneous Teleport] to get where he wanted in an instant.
Although he should still be a little careful...
The fragment of Kizmal let out a roar, pus.h.i.+ng Alan's body back. Nevertheless, he continued
to fire out Dragon breaths, and rain down meteors.
The meteors were aimed at the strange drums on his back, whilst the breaths targeted his
body, covering it in swathes of ice.
But it was simply not enough, Alan tried many times to manifest another [Supreme Meteor], but that skill required time... Time that the fragment of Kizmal would not give him.
It would always interrupt the skill by either attacking the caster, or the immature meteor
forming in the sky. No matter how high up Alan manifested it, it would always notice it, and send a storm of lightning to rip it apart.
Alan needed to do something, quickly, or else this battle would never end.
