Mu Mingtang ignored his crudeness when Xie Xuanchen spoke out before she found him and clutched to his side.

Xie Xuanchen was standing in front of a map at the moment, thinking about something. Beside him was a pair of silver armour.

The armour was as tall as a person. At first glance, it seemed to be someone standing there as the black helmet alone was capable of sending other’s into shock. Mu Mingtang was taken aback, but after a closer look, she realised that it was just a pair of armour.

Mu Mingtang opened the nearest lampshade and lit the candlestick with the wick of the palace lantern in her hand, “Staying here alone is one thing, but why won’t you light up a light? If you can’t navigate yourself in the darkness, wouldn’t it be natural for you to get hurt instead?”

The core of the flames flickered a few times and the light gradually expanded, finally covering half the room to provide the two with sight. Mu Mingtang blew out the fire in the palace lantern, put it in a safe place and walked slowly towards Xie Xuanchen.

Xie Xuanchen looked down at her and was enamoured by the light in her eyes. There was no way to avoid it and there was no way to retreat.
