I watched with my fading consciousness as Sh.e.l.ly stood in front of the ma.s.sive black boar as if talking about something . Then all of a sudden the boar lowered its head and swallowed Sh.e.l.ly whole . I watched in disbelief as the sounds of crunching and breaking filled the air . 'No, it can't be' I faintly thought in disbelief and lost my consciousness .

What followed looked like misty dream . I felt rage, hatred, anger… thirst for blood . I saw my body starting to move, which was not possible, everything was broken or shattered into pieces . Yet my body started moving . My arms started twisting in ways that no human arm was supposed to . My hands then grabbed the ground and lifted my torso up, then my legs followed with the same weird movements . My body stood up on its own and "I" spoke some words from a language that was familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time .

"Fer Lei Fal Gor Trevak . Phrak, Lak Thas Therak Grahten . Tentres Fhin Orhis Retres Lehis Sethis" . I didn't understand what I said but somehow, I p.r.o.nounced the words as if I knew the language since birth . I was shocked as I saw that the body which was beyond any capability of moving, move . I had so many question and no answers . While the darkness was all around me, I could still think . It was as if my consciousness was alive but stored in some kind of safe place . I thought about Sh.e.l.ly and sadness filled my mind . If Sh.e.l.ly just ran away, maybe both of us would survive, maybe the ma.s.sive boar wouldn't eat me while Sh.e.l.ly hid itself and waited for the right time to come to my side .

My thoughts wondered about what if? situations and I could do nothing but blame myself 'It was all my fault' . I noticed that my life was… empty . Every person or thing I cherished was gone . My parents, Nick as well as Sh.e.l.ly . There were also some people who I had some relations.h.i.+p with and they disappeared too . Like the old man that told me to explore my life or the b.i.t.c.h that stole my family's heirloom . Although I was still hateful, I couldn't hide that the feelings I had for her were real .

I was now alone… again . Lost in my thoughts, I noticed that light started to appear . With light, objects like trees and gra.s.s came to my view . With more light flooding in, I noticed more details . I was currently laying on the ground . Then the feeling of pain engulfed me . I grunted due to the agony and laid there wailing for a while . The pain subdued a bit after some time, how much time has pa.s.sed? I didn't know but besides the pain, I felt hunger .

I was now alone… again . Lost in my thoughts, I noticed that light started to appear . With light, objects like trees and gra.s.s came to my view . With more light flooding in, I noticed more details . I was currently laying on the ground . Then the feeling of pain engulfed me . I grunted due to the agony and laid there wailing for a while . The pain subdued a bit after some time, how much time has pa.s.sed? I didn't know but besides the pain, I felt hunger .

I took more detailed look around me and noticed it was the same place where we encountered the ma.s.sive black boar but I saw no signs of fighting, other than the broken tree that I personally broke . There were no animals as far as my sight could see . I tried to move my arms and legs but the pain became intensified . I thought 'Probably everything is broken… Wait! if I can move my arms and legs, then it cannot be broken' .

I laid there and rested . The more I moved the more pain it created and the longer I stayed motionless the pain was also becoming subdued, it was as if some kind of medicine was taking effect . After about an hour or two of lying motionless, I was finally able to stand up slowly . When I looked around me, there was nothing to be found besides the trees, gra.s.s, occasionally stones and shrubs . . No ma.s.sive black boar or any other animals . There was also one more thing missing, Sh.e.l.ly . I hoped it was a dream and called out "Sh.e.l.ly! Sh.e.l.ly are you there?" but heard no response .

I tried to recall everything . The moment of me attacking the boar, then being smacked and flying through the air . Then me laying there and watching as Sh.e.l.ly dies in the mouth of that monster . When my thoughts reached this point, I got a splitting headache . It was as if something was preventing me from recaling that misty dream I had . It was as if I didn't want to remember and instead received headache . I stopped trying to recall the hazy dream but I still didn't know what happened .
I laid there and rested . The more I moved the more pain it created and the longer I stayed motionless the pain was also becoming subdued, it was as if some kind of medicine was taking effect . After about an hour or two of lying motionless, I was finally able to stand up slowly . When I looked around me, there was nothing to be found besides the trees, gra.s.s, occasionally stones and shrubs . . No ma.s.sive black boar or any other animals . I didn't know what happened to the boar and why I was still alive . I didn't believe in my blurry dream either, I a.s.sumed it was a hallucination of some sort due to injuries, pain as well as loss of someone close .

I closed my eyes for a while, trying to remember the times I've been with Sh.e.l.ly and tears started to roll down my eyes . I said to myself "Strength . I need to be stronger . Then I will get my revenge . I WILL KILL THOSE THAT HARMED MY FAMILY!" I shouted at the top of my lungs while tears were falling down from my eyes .

My mind was no longer working rationaly . I only desired destruction and carnage . I wanted to exterminate the whole boar population but I knew I would just throw my life onto the wind . I thought 'Sh.e.l.ly died for my sake, so I shall live to remember Sh.e.l.ly . I shall live to remember all people who extended a helping hand towards me . I shall remember all those who treated me as their family . I will live' . I then moved forwards not looking back . Forwards, in the direction that my heart dictated . North .
