I snorted underneath my mask. 'Spare me? I now saw your strength, and I know what you are able to do. Unfortunately for you, I will not spare you' I thought to myself. She continued "Make a Blood Pact with me. If you pledge your allegiance to me, you will be spared. Not a bad deal, eh?".

I laughed loudly, and responded "You think that you can stop me? Give it a try then. To me, you are still just a walking corpse". I moved forwards maximising the use of my Natural Path skill. Adding in the control of my energy, I began moving like a ghost. The guy again smashed his s.h.i.+eld onto the ground, but I wasn't stupid.

I jumped up, and used the trees to move. Although the trees shook, I already accounted for that. My speed didn't decrease, and for the first time, I could see a hint of panic on the soldier's face. Ten daggers appeared around me, while I imbued my Aura onto them. They released their skills at me, but I dodged them. When i was close enough, I jumped downwards, straight at the whole group.

'Stringed Hidden Weapons, Aura Carnage!' I shouted in my mind, and attacked. My daggers flew at them, but then stopped. The soldier with a s.h.i.+eld smiled, and said "I told you, it's futile". His Aura enveloped me, and I couldn't breathe. 'This guy!' I thought, as I dropped to the ground. My daggers fell onto the ground too. Lifeless. Liana said "Did you really think, you are some sort of bigshot? You had no chance from the beginning".

'This guy… he broke through his Half Step…' I thought. I was barely able to move, I couldn't counter his Aura. This was bad, very bad. I tried backing away, but before I could, I was smashed with the s.h.i.+eld, and flew backwards. "Ungh", I grunted when I smashed into the ground. 'This guy tempted me with that slight panic. He knew I would go for the kill' I thought.

The Liana woman asked "Where is your accomplice? We know there was a second person. Tell us, and you will receive a quick death". I replied "Go to h.e.l.l", and tried to stand up. She took out my sword, and said "You know, this sword is special. I only use it to kill worthy opponents. Although you are filth, I will grant you that pleasure".

When I saw my sword, I felt anger. 'b.i.t.c.h. You want to use my sword, to kill me?' I thought, as the Aura deep within me began awakening. I said "Filth? If I'm filth, then what are you? You killed your own brother, chased me twice already, and I'm the filth?". The colour of the world changed to red, I couldn't contain my anger anymore. "If I have to die, I will take as many of you with me, as I can!".

"BOOOM!".

The blast of air pushed outwards, and I could move again. My instincts took over, I no longer cared about defence. All I thirsted for, was blood and carnage. One step after the other, I moved forwards. The Aura locking me in place, no longer so suffocating. "Kill him", Liana said.

They released their skills at me. I extended my right arm, and punched outwards. "BOOOM!", all their skills froze and shattered. With a heavy step on the ground, I launched forwards. "Impossible!", the strongest soldier exclaimed. Explosions could be heard every time I stepped on the ground. I accelerated and moved in erratic ways, arriving in front of the group.

The guy with the s.h.i.+eld ordered everyone to back off, and used his sword to slash. The beam of fire clashed with me, and pushed me back. I sustained some injuries, but I felt little pain. I gained back my footing, and continued forwards. Dozens of daggers suddenly appeared, and flew at the group. One of the soldiers was stunned, and forgot to dodge. My daggers pulverized him, and his barely intact lifeless body, fell to the ground.

Liana and the strongest soldier released their skills again. I countered that using my right hand, but this time the power behind those skills was much more severe. Liana was using my sword now, and the guard was using his full strength. I flew backwards, and took down a few of the trees down before I stopped. My right arm was wounded severely. It wasn't broken, but moving it was also difficult.

Liana exclaimed "You… What are you? You are not Human! Kill him, before he gets away!". I reached into my bag, and took out some Yellow Dust. They used Fire Element skills. This meant, they could ignite the Yellow Dust no problem. I wasn't after a huge explosion, but a distraction. With my hand full of Yellow Dust, I rushed at them again. The soldier pressed his s.h.i.+eld onto the air, and a shockwave travelled towards me. He wanted to disrupt my movements again, but this time through the air.

I crouched down, and launched myself forwards. I was flying at them, only a few millimetres off the ground. I could feel some aftereffect of that shockwave, but it didn't affect me much. The shockwave missed, while I arrived in front of the group again. With a tap on the ground, I shot upwards. While I was falling down, I waited for him to use that Fire Element skill again. He didn't disappoint me. When I was about to arrive, he released that skill.

I couldn't dodge, but I didn't have to. I released the handful of Yellow Dust into the blazing snake like beam of light. "Boom!", a small explosion changed my trajectory, and made my spin. This was something, they couldn't predict. I spun past the attack, and landed in front of the soldier. With a "RAAAHH!", I managed to extend my right hand, and grabbed his neck.

"Die". With my ice powers released to the max, he began freezing. Suddenly, something hit my back, and I flew to the side from the impact. I grunted as I hit the ground. There was a large cut on my back, probably from my own sword. 'He is dead anyway' I thought, and felt that my energy was disappearing. I also heard Liana shout "Eres!, Eres!".

I laughed, and said "Hahaha… Cough…. Cough… He is dead". I could feel someone approaching me. Suddenly, something slashed at my back again. "Argh!", I exclaimed from the pain. Then another, and one more. I screamed from the pain, but I couldn't move anymore. I was spent. All my energy was gone.

Liana picked me up, to face her. She said "I will torture you to death!". She threw me upwards, and slashed at my chest. Two deep wounds were engraved on my chest. One horizontally, and the other vertically. I smashed into the tree with another grunt, and laid there motionless. I didn't think about my end anymore. Maybe dying was not such a bad idea. The world was corrupted, you could barely trust someone. Even friends could backstab you. Even people you saved, could sell you out. People you loved, abandon you.

I laid there with my eyes closed, and a smile on my face. This was the end, I could only await my death. 'Dina pa.s.sed away with a smile, I should as well... Sorry Nick, it seems I will not achieve big things' I thought. I tried recalling the good times. People I met, who were worthy to be called my friends. Sh.e.l.ly, who gave its life in exchange for mine. 'Frosty…'. As I thought up to here, I heard some screams, and then someone grabbed me.

'The end eh? I had a good run, for all it's worth' I thought. But the final attack never came, I was being moved somewhere. 'Are they planning on taking me alive?' I thought. I tried opening my eyes, but I couldn't. I was too tired, I wanted to sleep…
