Chapter 18 Part 1

According to the rules for ranked matches in Kings of Glory, players with
one rank difference could still form a team. The Silver Lin Chuyan, therefore,
could form a team with his Gold roommates.

His three roommates all played the positions they were used to when playing
other similar games. Zheng Dongkai was their jungler, Maomaoqiu was warrior at
top, and Dayu was marksman at bot.

The jungler was responsible for fighting monsters in the jungle. In the King's
Valley map, the areas in between the three lanes were all jungles, dotted with
big and small monsters. There was a river that cut through the valley and the
opposing teams faced each other across the river. Killing a monster gave a lot
of experience, quickly leveling a player. A skillful jungler could level up very
efficiently, then he could roam the three lanes and support his teammates.

In general, the jungler shouldered the responsibility of setting the tempo for the
whole team.

Xiang Nuan was amazed to watch Lin Chuyan produce three teammates who were
at the same level like a magician. She was doubtful: “You bought them from Taobao?”

A burst of laughter came from the other side of the cell phone, they weren't
from Lin Chuyan.

“No.” Lin Chuyan replied. He didn't want to explain the situation in detail. He told
Xiang Nuan: “I have speaker on, my roommates are all here.”

“Oh, oh.” Xiang Nuan hurriedly greeted them: “How are you!”

Zheng Dongkai thought the girl was quite cute. Since Chuyan didn't mention a
word after he came back from his meeting with Xiang Nuan, Zheng Dongkai suspected
that this girl probably wasn't good looking, but she had quite a pleasant character.

Zheng Dongkai: “How are you, Nuannuan.”

Lin Chuyan corrected him: “Her name is Xiang Nuan.” Then Lin Chuyan introduced
to Xiang Nuan: “My roommates, Zheng Dongkai, Maomaoqiu, and Dayu.”

They greeted each other, then began their game.

Zheng Dongkai had Zhao Yun as his champion, Maomaoqiu played Arthur, and
Dayu played as Lu Ban. These were all entry level champions. The three roommates
hadn't been playing the game long enough to get more powerful champions and
couldn't afford to buy other champions.

Xiang Nuan still chose Zhang Fei without a second thought.

The position left for Lin Chuyan was mage.

His thumb lingered on top of the image of Zhuge Liang for a while, then he chose Daji.

Xiang Nuan blew out a sigh of relief. She was afraid that he was going to use
Zhuge Liang again……

Daji was a vixen, with two fox ears on the top of her head and a huge tail at the
back. Though she didn't look that impressive, she had an explosive amount of damage.

Daji's abilities were relatively simple yet frightening. The most fearsome one was
her second ability. Most other champions' abilities could be dodged by skillful
maneuvering, Daji's second ability homed in on the enemy, it couldn't be dodged.
When she threw the ability at the opponent, the opponent had no means of dodging
to avoid being stunned. While the opponent was motionless, Daji could deal a lot
of damage.

Daji's famous line was “Daji plays with you.” Players of the opposing team had to
be extra careful when they heard Daji speak her catchphrase.

Daji's favorite tactic was hiding inside the bushes, waiting for the enemy to come
by, then throwing a combo of abilities onto the enemy. It was simple, yet effective.

It was a nasty tactic. To play Daji well, the player had to be good at hiding in the bushes.

Lin Chuyan loved bushes; he could even ask a support champion such as Zhang Fei
to stay in the bush to surprise the enemy. There wasn't anything he couldn't do……

A Daji hiding in the bush, Lin Chuyan felt like he had finally found his champion.
