Chapter 5- Makeover

Gu Bokai had a lot of strength. When he was dragging Cheng Jinyu, it was like he was pulling along a small chick, never giving Cheng Jinyu a chance to resist.

The two exited the Civil Affairs Bureau as it was just about to close for break, they would only have to wait till noon to come again.

Cheng Jinyu, "Don't need to buy one, I have good clothes at my house. I'll go home now and change."

"Your good clothes?" Gu Bokai scornfully replied, "You have any?"

"Of course I do." Cheng Jinyu wanted to get away from Gu Bokai's hold on him, only Gu Bokai' was too strong, he simply just couldn't struggle free.

"Can your clothes match my clothes?"

Cheng Jinyu, "Why is it not you match with me?"

Cheng Jinyu did not continue to struggle and let Gu Bokai drag him to a large department store not far away.

Gu Bokai took a glance at the department store's map then directly dragged Cheng Jinyu to the third floor.

"Who is the best hair stylist in your salon?"

A 30 year old man walked over. "I am the head stylist of this salon. Mister, what kind of requirements do you have?"

Cheng Jinyu was honestly a little tired of it, "How long left?"

The stylist smiled and replied, "It's about to be done, your hair hasn't been nourished in a long time! The hair quality is not very good."

"He's never done it." Gu Bokai didn't forget to say his one sentence.

The stylist whispered, "What is your relations.h.i.+p?"

Cheng Jinyu perhaps felt too bored, wiggling his eyebrows and responded, "Lovers."

The stylist was flabbergasted and Gu Bokai immediately stood up. "Who is a lover with you? Don't tape gold on your face, ok(1)? Would my kind of people have your kind as a lover?"

Cheng Jinyu coughed, "Ok, then we can forget about the whole certificate situation."

The stylist hurried to try and smooth things over, "Oh, so originally you two were here for a certificate, congratulations congratulations!" the stylist smiled and turned to look at Gu Bokai, "Mister, you really have good vision. Because Cheng Jinyu's talking voice was not loud, Gu Bokai did not hear what they were talking about. He only saw the stylist laugh and get up, corners of Cheng Jinyu's lips were also cracked open.

Gu Bokai felt a bit uncomfortable, how come he didn't s.h.i.+ft his ear over for a bit just now to hear what kind of interesting things they must have said.

The stylist seemingly wanted to intentionally bring a climax to the situation, brought Cheng Jinyu inside to finalize the design.

"It's done, it's done. Sir hurry and come here to take a look." The stylist smiled at Gu Bokai and called him over.

Gu Bokai strided over with his long legs, in front of his eyes Cheng Jinyu seemed as though he was reborn. The thick heavy hair was now very thin. The hair that was covering the eyebrows was completely trimmed off. Cheng Jinyu's five facial features were completely displayed, a threatening beauty.

Gu Bokai came out from the hair salon.

Cheng Jinyu did not say anything, noticed a descending elevator not too far away and was about to go get ready to head down.

"What are you doing?"

"Go downstairs! The Civil Affairs Bureau should be open by now."

"Go up."

"What are we going up for?"

Gu Bokai wished for iron to turn into steel and replied, "Of course it’s to buy you a clothes! Didn't the stylist already say? You need to properly dress up, you dress like a beggar."

Chen Yuze said, Gu Bokai was a machine madman. His mind would always be thinking about work, work! Didn’t even have time to eat or drink.

Zhang Hongyu said, The thing I dislike the most is to be alone with Brother Bokai. because he is always fast! Fast! Quickly! He urges me to hasten,  to the point that I can't even go to the bathroom.

But the man before his eyes dragging Cheng Jinyu to roam around for almost two hours on the street, who exactly is this person! Cheng Jinyu had never tried on this many garments before, his entire body was so tired that he almost couldnt even stand anymore.

Accompanying Gu Bokai to stroll the streets was more intense then cleaning the entire Chen House.

Wasn't today for getting a marriage certificate? Isn't it something that takes two minutes? Why was it this troublesome? How did it turn into a walk on the street. The point was, Cheng Jinyu's stomach was growling in hunger.

When Cheng Jinyu really couldn't bare it anymore, Gu Bokai took large strides and walked over. Behind him were 7-8 female attendants, and in each of their hands was a large pile of clothing.

Cheng Jinyu immediately cried out a sound, he was truly tired to death. As it turns out it wasn’t young master Gu who killed his wives, all of them were like this and simply became tired to death.

Gu Bokai saw Cheng Jinyu laying on top of the sofa taking a break, unhappily said, "Hurry and get up, try these clothes."

Cheng Jinyu not too far had to shove away a pile of clothes. There was also 9 attendants waiting at the side of those clothes. These nine attendants all hurriedly stepped forward, the attendant's clothes were the clothes that Cheng Jinyu just tried on.

Gu Bokai did not wait for these girls to step forward and speak, simply waved his hand, "Pack it all, I'll buy it too."

When Xiao Ma came up, he unexpectedly had to confront a mountain of clothing.

Cheng Jinyu couldn't bear it and said, "Don't give it to me, I don’t want it."

"Then why are you having me try them on? All the ones you bought were all worn by me."

Gu Bokai frowned, "Donate! To aid a young poor man like you, can't do that?"

Cheng Jinyu and this man were not on the same channel, did not pay heed to him.

Gu Bokai threw the food Xiao Ma brought into Cheng Jinyu's face and said, "Something this disgusting and you can still eat it? Give all of it for you to eat, can't consume it and die."

Cheng Jinyu was so hungry that he was about to faint, instantly grabbed the food and immediately started filling his stomach.

After eating and drinking his fill, under Gu Bokai's strong demands, Cheng Jinyu found a pure white suit from the giant pile of clothes and put it on.

Wearing the western style leather shoes, his entire body temperament changed. Inside he wore a blue striped collared s.h.i.+rt. Carrying a casual and lively element, the two b.u.t.tons on his chest were not b.u.t.toned up and clearly revealed his collarbone. The white overcoat was also not b.u.t.toned. The white trousers he wore helped mold to his slender legs, perfectly straight.

Cheng Jinyu might have been very tired for his face had a trace of sluggishness. It added a bit of melancholy and made his entire person become rather mysterious and more bewitching.

Like this Gu Bokai dragged Cheng Jinyu back to the Civil Affairs Bureau. The staff there were the same as the morning staff and the staff member anxiously and honestly replied, "Very well-matched, very suitable." Then right afterwards pressed down on the stamp.

Xiao Ma, who was behind, excitedly shouted into the phone, "Got the certificate, already got the certificate."

Immediately from the hall of the Civil Affairs Bureau poured out several men dressed in black western style suits. They directly circled around Cheng Jinyu and Gu Bokai, putting them in the middle of their circle.

"What is this?" Gu Bokai angrily yelled.

(1) Gold on your face: Tooting your own horn, bragging about yourself

(2) This sentence is actually referring to a chinese idiom. 井底之蛙(Frog at the bottom of the well). It’s used to represent someone who is narrow minded/ignorant. The story is about a frog at the bottom of the well who thought his life was spectacular and that his well was the world. It wasn’t until he left that he realized he was wrong.

(3) Same kind of soil: He's implying that although the surface changed, the inside personality is still the same. CJY is still unsophisticated even though he has a new appearance.
