Chapter 52: The Owner Of The Tomb Is Mo Ye

“Then, do you know him?”

“No.”

“Why?” Qi Huan just noticed that Mo Ye wasn't even blinking, looking at these priceless treasures in front of him, which meant that he didn't care about them at all.

Even Xu Ling Zi would make a fuss if he saw all these but not Mo Ye. Why? Why hadn't he responded? Finally, Qi Huan felt a little strange.

“Because the snake in front seems very unhappy.” Mo Ye pointed his finger forward. There was a lotus pond not far away from the two of them. There were lots of lotus flowers on the water. But when she closely looked at the pond, she noticed that it was pitch black, it was impossible to see how deep the pond was at first glance, or what was underneath.

When Mo Ye stretched out his arm, Qi Huan only glanced over, but she was shocked immediately. She finally knew what was in the pond: A snake, no, to be precise, this thing had begun to transform into a dragon!

It was a silver snake with a pair of dragon horns. The snake head alone occupied half of the pool. Those dark silver and cold eyes stared at the two trespa.s.sers without emotion.

“I guess it seems that it hasn't eaten for many years.” Qi Huan backed away as she spoke, ready to run away as soon as the situation was going south. Although her cultivation level had reached jiedan stage, she was quite sure that compared with this snake, who knew how many years it had lived, whether it was herself or Mo Ye, both of them were like a meal for the snake, perhaps not even worth a meal.

“It has indeed been many years.” Mo Ye looked at the snake with a little nostalgia in his eyes. The Primordial Unique Species Flying Snake is said to be a mutant Flying Snake. If it weren't born of a different colour from its species, it would not be forced out of this world and be raised as a pet by him later.

But he didn't expect that after all these years, his snake that was initially only as thick as his wrist would become like this, even Mo Ye himself was taken aback.

“Can it eat people?”

“Maybe not.” Mo Ye turned his head and thought about it. He remembered feeding it radishes last time, although he didn't know that snakes actually didn't eat radishes.

“Hiss” The snake's blood-red forked tongue hissed. Perhaps the snake was irritated because it  actually protruded a small half of its body from the pond, and the entire pond was suddenly covered by its body. The snake stretched its head out towards Mo Ye, getting really close to him, as if it wanted to touch him. It only needed to open its mouth, and then Mo Ye would be swallowed completely.

After a long pause, the snake seemed to show no signs of cannibalism. It just looked at Mo Ye back and forth with those lantern-like eyes, totally ignoring Qi Huan.

Although being ignored by a snake made her very upset, she would rather be so.

“It seems to like you very much.” Qi Huan was not sure if her eyes had mistaken or not, but from the looks of the snake, it looked kind of flattered… Can a snake even show this kind of expression?

“Yeah.” Mo Ye stretched out his hand and patted the snake's head, then looked back at Qi Huan, “Let's go.” After speaking, he walked around the pool and continued ahead.

Qi Huan also wanted to move forward but the thing was, when she took a step, the snake immediately turned its eyes to her, watching her, “Are you sure it won't eat me?”

“Don't worry. If I were the snake, I would definitely not eat you.”

“Why?”

“I'm afraid it will cause indigestion.”
