Crush With The Monster

Allen and I are eating cookies on the bed. Mom brought it to me for my midnight snacks.

“Hey tell me a story.”

“About what?”

“About what you remember.”

“Ah! This bed had been used by several people.  Sometimes by oldies, married couple, child, a man and of course, a woman.” Then he suddenly grinned.

“Why?”I ask curiously to him.

“Of course because she’s a woman. Since she used this room, I saw… You wouldn’t understand because you are still very young.”

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

“Hmm? I don’t have one, why did you ask?”

“No reason, maybe because many of my cla.s.smates’ older siblings have boyfriend or girlfriend.”

“Why don’t you ask your older brother or your older sister?”

“I don’t have one! I’m the only child.”

“Eh, if that is the case then you can’t do anything about it.”

I suddenly went towards Allen and lightly brushed my lips with his, giving him a smack kiss.

[Allen’s POV]

I was talking when suddenly she kissed me. I was stupefied and she is just smiling and looking at me.

“Can you be my boyfriend?”

I was shocked by her question. She is still smiling at me, waiting for my answer.

“Hahaha! Are you serious?” I laugh at her as reply.

“Why?” She said innocently.

“I’m older than you, no, I’m way too old for you!”

“Then you shall wait for me.” She said with a grin.

“Silly. What is best for you, is to play.”

Jessica pouted at me, then she got up from the bed and went to the study table. It looks like she is drawing my face.

The next day, she dashed inside and locked the door after leaving the school and reaching home. She quickly climbed on the bed and peeped below.

“Allen.. Allen..” She called me in whisper.

“What?” I answered

“See this! I finished it.” She smiled at me wholeheartedly.

Allen flew above the bed.

“It looks like you, right?”

“Wow you’re amazing, so this is my face.” I grinned.

“What does the bed look like below?”

“Do you want to see?”

“Yes, yes! Is it possible?”  Jessica answered excitedly.

“Sure.”

When she crawled below. “Is  this all?” she asked.

“Yes. The usual look under the bed.”

“Nothing else? I thought it’s big.”

“You’re wrong.”

“It’s good that dad did not see you the last time he checked below.”

“You just don’t know how hard it is for me to s.h.i.+ft and change position just to hide here.”

“Ohhh! wait.” She said when she noticed something.

“This are my belongings! No wonder it all disappeared. You were the one who took it.”

“You keep on dropping your stuff! I was just curious that’s why I picked it all up.” I said defensively.

“Hahaha!” Jessica giggled happily.

[Jessica’s POV]

It was nighttime when I heard my mom and dad talking beyond the door of my room.

“We just moved here but you already want to move again?”

“We won’t sell the house, you are going to America, right? We will go with you there. It is also for the good of our child.”

“Why? What happened?”

“Ever since we moved here, she always lock herself in her room. She refused to go out and play with the others. Her routine is always from home to school then school to home and that’s all.”

“Okay I think it is better for the two of you to go with me for my a.s.signment in America.”

I suddenly move from the door and seek Allen.

“Why? What did they talk about?”

“We are moving.” I reply solemnly…

One week pa.s.sed, mommy and daddy decided to go to America. Even if I don’t want to, I agreed because they said  that we will stay there for only a month and we will eventually be back here again in the Philippines. I don’t want to be away with Allen though!

“Allen, while I am not here, you can use all the available things here in the room so that you will not be bored.”

“When are you going back?”

“After one month, I will miss you! For sure, I wont have a playmate there.” I said while pouting.

“Why?”

“They speak in English. Nosebleed, right?” We both laughed.
