TBoSP Chapter 7 - Beautiful snake bracelet





Not sure if I mention this before, but Tang Chun called her parents not as the usual Mother and Father Chinese calling, but a more endearing one which is literally Daddy and Mummy in English. The father also often called her his precious daughter like a super, super doting father.





Since Aunty Li is already urging her to come down, she's left with no other choice. She grabbed the small-sized snake and put him into her pocket. Mu Tang Chun then opened the door and walked out of her room...

"Chun Chun, what were you doing in your room? You took a long time before coming down."

Xia Tong asked with a panicked tone.

"Nothing! I just went up for a change of clothes!"

She was glad she did changed her clothes in her room, else she wouldn't know what excuse to give!

"Hm, alright then. Well, eat up!"

Huhu... thank goodness Mummy stopped asking questions. How can this daughter explained to her mother that their humble abode was visited by a huge, evil white snake? Mummy would be scared witless! She walked up to her usual seat and sat down. As soon as the danger has pa.s.sed, she allowed herself to sigh in relief.

Unbeknown to the girl, a thin unknown string-like object quietly slithered out of her pocket and winds itself around her wrist, on the very same hand now placed on her thigh. It then became a sparkling, translucent-like bracelet. Mu Tang Chun did not even noticed the new addition on her wrist. Instead, she merely raised her head and lifted up her chopstick. Being frightened to death by the snake for half a day has made her really hungry. It's time to chow down some food!

"Chun Chun, what is that thing on your wrist?"

Mu Zhen Lin noticed the strange bracelet on his daughter's wrist almost immediately. After all, he has never seen his daughter buying a bracelet like this for herself. That sparkling, crystal-like bracelet is truly beautiful, he thought.

"Huh....?"

She noted her father's words, and glanced down at her wrist. Her heart jumped as soon as the bracelet entered her view. Heavens! That snake actually found its way to her wrist! What do I do?! WhatdoIdo?! As though noticing the girl's fl.u.s.tered heartbeat, the snake stared daggers at her. Her heartbeat quickly calmed down.

"Daddy! This is a new bracelet I just bought. Look! It's beautiful, isn't it?"

She raised her hand, making it easier for everyone to see this new "bracelet" of hers. Honestly speaking, deep down, she is not confident at all if her little act fooled everyone on the table. *sobs* This is not even a "bracelet", but a super, super scary talking snake!

"Really? That's a beautiful bracelet, not bad at all! I'm not too sure what material it is, but it's even more beautiful than crystal!"

Even Xia Tong who has seen many jewelries could not help but praise the exquisite aesthetics of the "bracelet".

Is it really that beautiful? Overwhelmed by fear, Mu Tang Chun did not even cast a glance at the "bracelet" and examine it properly. Feeling curious, she looked down at her wrist. Once she did, her eyes widened in surprise. The snake actually became a really beautiful bracelet!

It's milky white body, similar to that of a jade material gleamed even more brightly under the light. It looks even more sparkling and beautiful when matched with her fair skin. She no longer feels fear from this snake. As she stared at her wrist, her sense of fear towards snakes soon vanished.

Su Fei Yue haughtily accepted their praises. Hah! This is to be expected! After all, he is the known far and wide as the most beautiful snake back at home. Seeing how this girl who is terrified of snakes changed her expression from fear to a smitten one, his sense of pride raised even more!

The Mu family started dining. However, Mu Tang Chun could not enjoy her meal as usual today, taking even smaller bites than usual. This is because she could not forget, there's a Lord Snake coiled around her wrist. It seems that he is angry at her for ignoring him. Thus, the beautiful "bracelet" made sure to coil around her wrist tightly to cause the wearer pain.

She had no choice but to avoid Daddy and Mummy's gaze and secretly bring food below the table for the snake to enjoy.
