「Okay, Kirikchan? Let’s eat our bentos . 」

A delicious smell in the air, together with a wonderful scenery . Cute children eating tasty bentos .

「Ehh, where should Kirika start eating from? Kirika doesn’t want to eat the face, so Kirika will eat everything around it . But this decoration is really cute…」

I’m glad I decided to make charbens .

While Kirikchan was pondering what to eat first, Kurtz-kun finished his bento energetically .

He spread out his arms and legs and lied down, rubbing his stomach with a satisfied look on his face .

I thought of the phrase, Sleeping right after eating will turn you into a cow, but decided to keep quiet . Kurtz-kun moves around a lot normally anyway, so he won’t turn into a cow from doing this .

「Sigh…」

Bryce-kun sighed while eating .

「I-is it not to your liking?」

It reminded me of the disappointed look that my husband made .

「Oh no, it’s really good . I’m just regretting that I got to level 10 so soon . I wish I can stay at the hut for a little longer . 」

「I’m glad to hear that you like the food . I’ll pack you a bento so you can take it with you when you go out tomorrow . 」

Phew .

Everybody enjoyed the bentos . That makes me happy .

「Kirika wants to eat a bento tomorrow too!」

「Me too!」

「Okay, I’ll make them for you two as well . It doesn’t really matter whether I make one or three, after all . 」

For tomorrow, let’s just stick with a regular bento rather than a charben . Maybe sandwiches would like good?

What should I use for the filling… maybe hamburgers? Can I make those?

It would be difficult without salt and pepper for seasoning . If I use chicken, maybe I can make teriyaki chicken burgers?

While I don’t think we will be eating on the side of the road towards the town, if we end up not being able to eat lunch picnic-style, then it would be better if I made something that is easy to eat with one hand . Not to mention, we don’t have any bento boxes .

I stacked the finished dishes on top of each other and placed them back into the pillow case .

「Yuuri-oneechan, thank you . It was good!」

「Yeah, bentos are the best!」

Kirikchan and Kurtz-kun said, and smiled .

「Thank you, I’m happy you both enjoyed it . Originally, I wanted to make something for dessert too, but…」

「Dessert?」

Bryce-kun looked surprised .

Are desserts treated differently in this world, just like bentos?

「Only n.o.bles and wealthy people can eat desserts . Yuuri-san, could it be that… 」

「Ahh, so that’s why you were trying to keep your family circ.u.mstances a secret, Yuuri-neechan . Are you actually a disowned n.o.ble?」

I see, so desserts are considered luxury here .

In j.a.pan, desserts are very affordable, and sometimes they’re even cheaper than bread . So they are the opposite in this world .

The berry is smaller than a cherry, bright red, and a bit long and narrow .

What kind of fruit is that?

「Since they’re fully ripe, they’re sweet but a little bitter as well . Are you okay with bitter things?」

Bryce-kun picked some berries off the tree and handed me and Kirikchan one each .

I took a bite .  *crunch*
