Chapter 27.1: Giving Slag a New Name

The bedroom silhouette was dark, yet emitted a soft aromatic scent.

Shen Lang paced around the room waiting, but for the latter half of the night, he saw none of Jin Mulan's appearance. The night after marriage was when the deed was done, a night of consummation and it seemed a pity to lie in bed and whisk the night away in this matter.

What can he do, but wait?

Ah… my married heart is really hot… I can't sleep!

Just then, Jin Mulan knocked on the door and walked in.

Shen Lang drew a bright smile, happy he'd not done anything 'till now. How embarra.s.sing it'd be to see him in that state.

Seeing Shen Lang, Jin Mulan waved her hand. "Sit down."

Shen Lang sat down.

Jin Mulan sat across the table. Her curved waist against the silhouette caused a rising heat to grow from his lower body. He knew he'd not be able to sleep well tonight.

"I've heard many things about you. Some say you are greedy and vain; some speak of your inexperience; and some speak horribly of you, that you are a fool of low intelligence." Jin Mulan stared into his eyes. "But your performance tonight, it caused me and father a surprise."

"I'm flattered."

"Can you tell me why you've changed so much tonight? Why it was not like this in the Xu Family House?"

Shen Lang smiled softly and lowered his head slightly. "In this case, it is true I was a fool. In such a way, I was braindead, but after experiencing trials of sufferings, my mind was enlightened. I found I was not as stupid as before."

She looked at him for a while, not speaking. "Shen Lang, I want to make something clear."

Shen Lang nodded. "Say it."

"I never intended to marry in my life nor was it in my plans, only dedicating it wholly to my Jin Family… but because of the Zhu Family, this marriage, it is forced, and you became my husband."

Shen Lang knew what she'd say, but he did not interrupt.

Mulan continued. "We are husband and wife in name and this will never change in this lifetime nor will I marry another, but the obligation's of a husband and wife, I am afraid I cannot fulfill for the time being. For this, I am sorry."

So it seems a beautiful night won't happen.

"Wife, I understand."

"Shen Lang, it may be a lifetime."

"Wife, I still understand."

Shen Lang nodded. "Wife, I understand. I also agree."

Jin Mulan smiled. "From now on, we are husband and wife. I am sorry. I have wronged you."

Shen Lang shook his head and smiled softly. "No, it's alright."

He remained calm, not once showing signs of indignation.

"But I cannot be too selfish. I can live a life alone, but you, husband, need to carry on the family line. Tonight should the night of consummation and I cannot let you spend this hourly night alone. Xiao Bing, come in!"

A girl dressed in deep red walked in. She looked eighteen years of age. She was… beautiful, her aura deep and mature. One can tell by her fragrance. Her body, it was exquisite and graceful like an ocean with many depths to explore. Her face, it was innocent, almost puerile and hinted a touch of baby fat.

"Xiao Bing grew up with me. She is like my sister. I've promised her to you. She'll accompany you this evening and should you wish, will bear your children."

"….." Shen Lang's lips parted.

He'd not expect this sudden turn of event.

"Xiao Bing, this is Shen Lang's room, my husband. You should serve him well." Said Jin Mulan.
