Fifth Master Han’s treasured black iron sword shattered into two pieces on the spot!

She could feel the Black Wind King’s killing intent, but now was not the time for revenge.

The Black Wind King needed to conserve its strength.

“Big Boss.” She called softly, calming both the Black Wind King and her own turbulent emotions as she stroked the horse gently.

The Black Wind King knelt down thoughtfully, allowing Gu Jiao to mount with ease.

Gu Jiao felt her way to the saddle and climbed on.

The Black Wind King stood back up.

Gu Jiao removed the hair tie from her head, cupped it in her hands, and tied it around her eyes to cover them.

Fifth Master Han lay wounded and immobile, yet seeing Gu Jiao in this state, he couldn’t resist mocking her. “What now? You still plan to deliver the secret letter like this? Can you even see the road?”

Gu Jiao gripped the reins tightly, her back straight. “I may not be able to see, but Big Boss can.”

Fifth Master Han sneered coldly. “Big Boss? You mean this old Black Wind King? I admit it’s an excellent warhorse, but it’s been with the Han Family for fifteen years. It’s never been to the beacon camp.”

“It doesn’t need to.” Gu Jiao replied calmly. “It was born there.”

Black Wind King stayed in the temporary courtyard of Xuanyuan Li at the first beacon camp until it was over a year old before being taken back to the Xuanyuan Family Estate.
