“You look so enraged.” Lin Xin'er suddenly looked at Lin Xiaomi with terror and said, “Are you going to slap me?”

“By the way, Haolin asked me to tell him once you bully me again, and he will deal with you.”

Lin Xiaomi felt disgusting when looking at that hypocritical face.

The moment Secretary w.a.n.g stepped out of the elevator, she saw Lin Xiaomi and Lin Xin'er and hurried over with concerns. “Miss Xin'er, Mr. Xue asks me to take you upstairs.”

Secretary w.a.n.g deliberately twisted her body toward Lin Xin'er and looked at Lin Xiaomi vigilantly for fear that Lin Xiaomi would hurt Lin Xin'er. “Miss Lin, Mr. Xue has refused your interview. You aren't welcome here, so please leave.”

Lin Xin'er said to Secretary w.a.n.g with a gentle smile, “Secretary w.a.n.g, Xiami is my little sister, so please don't speak to her in such a manner. You go upstairs first and tell Haolin I'll talk to Xiami first and will be right there.”

Secretary w.a.n.g was surprised at the relations.h.i.+p between Lin Xin'er and Lin Xiaomi.

However, Secretary w.a.n.g still felt worried, but Lin Xin'er looked at her with such a determined smile, which gave her an indescribable feeling. Thus, she could do nothing but go upstairs to inform Xue Haolin.

Lin Xiaomi indeed felt that Lin Xin'er was her old enemy. From the first day when Lin Xiaomi knew Lin Xin'er, she couldn't get rid of Lin Xin'er.

However, she could give everything to Lin Xin'er except for Xue Haolin.

Xue Haolin was a living person. Even if he disliked her, she couldn't let him live in a lie.

Lin Xiaomi looked at Lin Xin'er and said firmly, “Don't be so gloating! No matter how perfect the lie is, it's just a lie and will be exposed one day. I'm looking forward to that day. Besides, as long as I'm alive, I'll try my best to expose you.”

Hearing this, Lin Xin'er smiled fearlessly and stepped forward to whisper in Lin Xiaomi's ear, “It doesn't matter what is true or false. Do you wanna bet with me on that even if you tell the truth, Xue Haolin won't believe you?”

Lin Xin'er gently stroked Lin Xiaomi's arm, sliding down, and pressed the bandaged fingertips with force. Lin Xin'er continued with hatred that didn't fit her weak face, “Lin Xiaomi, you'll be a loser in your whole life. Xue Haolin is mine. You, a b.a.s.t.a.r.d born by a dancer, don't deserve such a great man.”

Lin Xiaomi felt that her scabby wounds opened again, giving her more pain than before.

Lin Xiaomi pushed Lin Xin'er away. When the latter staggered two steps back, Lin Xiaomi felt that a gust of wind brushed past her.

The next second, Xue Haolin already held Lin Xin'er and looked at Lin Xiaomi with the killing intent. “You seem to have forgotten I warned you.”

Lin Xin'er snuggled into his arms. Her high heels made her ears in the level of his shoulders.

Such a height difference was perfect for kissing and gazing.

Lin Xin'er contentedly placed her hand on his chest and said, “Don't be so rude to Xiaomi. It's my bad. I wanted to look at her wounds but end up making her scabby wounds open again.”

Xue Haolin looked at Lin Xin'er. “Why do you come here suddenly without informing me early? Since you're here, why not go upstairs?”

Lin Xin'er tugged at his necktie and pouted. “I come here to surprise you, but now, it seems you don't like it. Well, I'll leave.”

With the hint of a smile in his eyes, Xue Haolin seized Lin Xin'er's hand and placed it on his palm. “Let's go upstairs.”

He then looked at Lin Xiaomi coldly and said, “Leave here immediately.”

Lin Xiaomi stood in situ and looked at the intimacy between them with a poker face.

Lin Xin'er said upon hearing this, “Haolin, don't be so fierce. I've heard from Secretary w.a.n.g that Xiaomi is here to interview you. How could you say no? We'll be a family soon, so we should help each other, shouldn't we? Xiaomi is a reporter and won't complete the task her boss a.s.signed to her if you shut her down.”

Xue Haolin frowned but didn't reject Lin Xin'er.

He looked at Lin Xiaomi and said coldly, “I give you ten minutes for the sake of Xin'er.”

Lin Xiaomi didn't want to accept Lin Xin'er's help, but in order not to put Sun Run into the trouble, she chose to stay to finish the interview.

Xue Haolin was cooperative during the interview but didn't give her an easy look.

Lin Xiaomi asked him about those questions Sun Ru prepared, including the ones about how he grew up in America.

Although there were only a few words, Lin Xiaomi felt sour, for they narrated how an unvalued love child made himself the king of this big company.

Lin Xiaomi's eyes turned red as if she saw that black thin kid again who would rather starve than bow to the servants.

Xue Haolin felt stunned first when casually seeing the tears in her eyes and then got a darkened face.

Lin Xiaomi winked to dispel the sourness in her eyes and ended the interview.

“I still need to take a photo of you.” Lin Xiaomi took out her camera.

Xue Haolin indifferently nodded.

When the interview was over, Lin Xin'er, who had sat aside silently, brought two cups of coffee over and said, “Is it over? Drink the coffee.”

Lin Xiaomi didn't dare to drink whatever Lin Xin'er brought to her and was about to leave after packing things up.

Lin Xin'er suddenly stopped Lin Xiaomi and said, “Xiaomi, well, I have something to ask you to do.”

Lin Xiaomi couldn't help frowning.

Lin Xin'er shyly glanced at Xue Haolin and said, “Haolin and I are getting married. Would you like to be my maid of honor? My little sister is my maid of honor, which will kill others.”

“Getting married?” Lin Xiaomi's heart was hurt unprepared. It never occurred to her that they would get married so soon.

Lin Xiaomi sadly asked upon staring at Xue Haolin, “Do you really want to marry her? If I say she's the one who lies to you, you won't believe me, will you?”

“Xiaomi.” Lin Xin'er helplessly looked at Lin Xin'er like she was a grumpy kid. “Don't do this, okay? I promise you I'll ask dad to find you a man as good as Haolin.”

What Lin Xin'er said literally described Lin Xiaomi as a woman short of men.

“Shut your mouth.” Lin Xiaomi yelled wildly, “Are you tired of wearing a mask every day? Don't you find yourself disgusting?”
