One Night With The Prince 46 Dinner At The White House Part-4

Alexa was sprawled to the ground, knocked out. Ria first tried to wake her up without success, she then tried lifting her to the bed, but it's full of clothes, and Alexa's a little heavy for her to carry. She had no choice but to ask for help from the two muscular men outside the door.

Logan and Lucas ran inside the room when they heard Ria's voice calling for help. What they saw stunned them, and they were unable to move from where they stood at the threshold of the room.

Logan was the first one who found his bearing...-"What happened? Why is Miss Grant knocked out on the floor? What did you do?" He bombarded her with a question while his eyebrows almost touch each other.

"It wasn't my fault if you must know! She startled me, and In an impulse, I end up hitting her in her guts and turn knocking her out cold." She explains it apologetically with sadness in her eyes that look like she's about to cry.

"Do you think I would get in trouble from the President if he finds out?" Ria asked while sounding worried.

Lucas finally gained his sense as well and interjected to ease Ria concern.

"Don't worry! President Grant is a kind-hearted person, and he would not hold that against you. Worst come to worst, you will just be replaced and transferred. That's all." Lucas jokingly told Ria who's about to cry...

Ria felt defeated after learning that she could get transfer to another post if the President found out what she did to her charge. "Well, what can I do. If I get a transfer, then I get a transfer. But, first I need you guys to help me carry her to the bed, please!"

Lucas and Logan rush to her side plan on supporting her carry Alexa to the bed. However, just as Logan was about to pick Alexa up, she abruptly came to her senses.

"Hmmm! Arrrg! What happened? Why am I on the floor?" She looks around for a moment then remembers what she just asked Ria to do. "Hahaha! You did it. Good job!" She patted Ria on her shoulder as she got up.

Logan and Lucas looked at each other trying to comprehend what's going on with Alexa, she was just knocked out by her a.s.sistant, but instead of getting upset, she patted her on her shoulder and told her she did an excellent job. 'What was that all about?' Lucas was asking Logan with his eyes.

Logan raised his two hand and shook his head from side to side. 'You tell me!' His eyes were telling Lucas. 'Your guess is as good as mine.'

Lucas didn't understand what Logan what saying with his eyes. They need to go outside so they could talk properly. "If there's nothing else, we will be going back to our post outside the room," Lucas informs Alexa who seems to be in a better mood.

"Sure, sure! If you must, go ahead! Thank you, by the way for coming to the rescue or Ria would have beaten the c.r.a.p out of me." She jokingly told the two while laughing out loud. "Hahaha!"

As soon as Logan and Lucas left leaving to go back to their post, Alexa quickly looked through the clothes that were arranged for her before her appearance. There were so many, and it's overwhelming for a girl like her with a simple upbringing. As she was looking at all the expensive things, she couldn't help but think of her grandma Santos and cousin Andrea back in the Philippines.

'It would have been nice if they are here with me. I wonder if the President would let me bring them?' She thought while she's gazing at all the beautiful and expensive things.

Alexa walked through and checked one by one the brand and the style of each item inside her wardrobe. She's like a little child who was left inside w.i.l.l.y Wonka's chocolate factory, salivating with every piece of articles she found inside her closet. "This one probably cost as much as our rent for a whole year. Hmmm, and this one probably could feed us for more than two years. Gos.h.!.+ What a waste of money just because they have it..." She keeps on mumbling to herself as she walks through.

Ria heard every word Alexa said and she also thought the same way...-Life of the rich is something else, and she's happy for Alexa that she found her father and now would live in the life of luxury. She hopes that Alexa does not embarra.s.s the President in the process. After watching Alexa for a while, she decided to busy herself,

She started cleaning up the clothes that were scattered on top of the bed with sadness on her face. She can't help herself not to worry about her position, in case the President found out what she did to his precious daughter...

Alexa was dumbstruck from all the beautiful things inside her closet. From clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories, all were brand names she could only imagine of having. After going through everything, she was exhausted and had no strength to think of what she's going to wear. She stood there with a blank stare, unable to determine what to do... She was still undecided as to what to choose when she saw something, and she slowly made her way out of curiosity...

When Alexa hasn't come out after almost an hour later, Ria decided to check on her. Alexa was nowhere to be found inside the walk-in closet. Ria went inside to look around, but there's no one inside...-"Where could she had gone? She was about to go outside and look for Alexa when she heard a voice somewhere around the area singing a song. "The voice is so mellow and soothing to listen too, and it sounds...sounded...-Wait...The voice sounds like Alexa!" Ria exclaim!

She followed the sounds and found a sliding door towards what it seems to be a huge bathroom. 'When she was briefed about the wardrobe mechanism and how it works, she was not informed about the adjoining bathroom which Alexa had found by herself.

Ria knows there's a bathroom by the parlor, but she didn't know that another one exists. She slowly slides the gla.s.s door, and poke her head to see inside. What she saw made her smile almost to the verge of laughing out loud...
