Realizing her own thought, she shooked her head to try to get rid of his presence that was invading her thought.

He Lan was quite happy about what was going on her mind, he looked at her with his eyes full of tease. Seeing how she pretended that she wasn't looking at him, he turned around and started to walk away.

Xia Lin knew that she couldn't get out of this formation because of the invisible barrier when she saw that He Lan was about to leave her. She immediately followed him, but when they got to the barrier only He Lan pa.s.sed it.

"Thud!" Xia Lin who was following behind b.u.mped into the barrier.

He Lan who knew the cause of this sound, however, he only slowed down his pace before coming to a complete stop.

"You didn't choose." He finally murmurs, he voice was low but it somehow reached Xia Lin's ears.

Xia Lin was about to curse the sh*t out of him, but she knew that he was her only chance of getting out of this formation.

"I can't marry you because..." She was looking for what lie to tell him, " because I'm already betrothed to someone else." She wasn't quite lying, she was indeed already promised to someone else, she was the wife of the Supreme t.i.tan.

He Lan who was not looking at her, immediately turn as he was not excepting her to reveal that detail.

"Oh?" Although he was a little taken back by her sudden word he only managed to let out a questioning expression.

Xia Lin was afraid He Lan would not believe her so she adds, "My future husband is known to be ruthless, and cruel to his enemy... 'Sigh'...I know that you are powerful but believe me you wouldn't want to get on his bad side because of me."

He Lan was getting more and more happy with this wife of his, to escape she was willing to pretend like he cared about her but she was still smart enough not to mention him.

"Oh?" He added as if he was doubting the information she gave him.

"If you help me, I will disregard the fact that you tried to seduce me and I might even compensate you." She lifted her head with pride.

'I've never seen anyone this shameless, she dares to say that I will cause a ruckus because of her? Interesting!' He Lan's face still had that questioning look.

"Sorry! The only way for you to pa.s.s this formation is if you are my wife. I don't care who your betrothed is. He couldn't keep you safe so he should thank me for saving your life." Although this word came out of his mouth, his facial expression was still calm as if he was just talking about nothing that concerned him.

"Sigh, then I will thank you for saving me but I can't marry you." She turned her back immediately after saying that and started walking away from the barrier.

He Lan's eyes were still locked on the girl who was walking away, unknowingly of him, his lips curved into a beautiful smile that could send countries to destroy each other.
